I was in the coffee Bar today, only to ask the barista if the bus stop was the one for Dublin Airport. Yes she told me, then proceeded to follow me out of The Coffee Bar to show me the app on her phone confirming our bus was on route. This act of kindness was so welcome & reassuring to anxious me & my post operation, in discomfort friend. I hope your manager knows what a treasure you are 🥰. I returned, after my friend was safely on her bus & bought an excellent coffee & sweet treat. Random acts of kindness along with great coffee will have me back. Thank you 😊.

Jenny and the staff are fantastic, always a really warm welcome and friendly atmosphere when we go in. The staff always have a great interaction with the customers no matter if they are regulars or just stopping off. They are a credit to the company 👏

16/09/2026: My girlfriend insisted that I come here to try their giant plate of nachos. So I came here and i ordered the plate of nachos. The serving was really huge. Way too big for just me and my gf. And my gf, even though she's thin and petite is a legendary glutton, not gonna lie. Anyways, the nachos tasted like what you'd expect at a student pub. The beer was good. I've got no complaints. Is it the best thing I've ever had in my life? No. Do I recommend you go there and drink some beers and get a bit of food? Sure. Maybe 1 or 2 beers. I mean they say 2 beers a week maximum. I mean 4 is good. I mean I'll have 6. -Alaric recommends 🍺

26/06/2025: Popped into JB Mahoney recently and honestly, what a find. It’s got that rare mix of proper character and a genuinely warm atmosphere that makes you feel like a regular, even if it’s your first visit. The Guinness? Spot on, creamy, smooth, poured with care. You can tell they take pride in it, which is more than you can say for a lot of places. And if you haven’t tried the Algerian, you’re missing out – bold, rich, and absolutely delicious. A proper pint to remember. The bar staff are brilliant, friendly, funny, and somehow manage to keep everything running smoothly even when it's packed. Even, the teachers chap I was speaking to inside. JB Mahoney’s strikes that perfect balance: welcoming, down-to-earth, but with real quality behind the bar. Whether you're in for a quiet one or a few rounds with mates, this place just gets it right.
