There are only two coffee places on THE SQUARE. Both have their respective merits. The Square is pet friendly and more like a regular coffee store. The usual range of coffees and teas are available. It has a nice ambience. I think it is slightly better value than the other place which is called Firecastle. Firecastle is primarily an upmarket market somewhat similar in style to Avoca. It has both indoor and outdoor seating and a restaurant area. The outdoor seating is nice on warm summer days. I often choose Firecastle for coffee if I am by myself and SQUARE when I am with someone. Both are located quite close to each other and I heartily recommend both.

Great coffee, very nice staff and a great selection of treats

I'm an American tasting your coffee so take this for what it's worth. Delicious espresso baristas know what they're doing but unfortunately they don't make their own syrups so if you are on the sweet side you'll be disappointed. Also we don't get the Heineken bottles on display?! Is this a bar or a cafe? Worth the stop. Onward!

Have struggled to find good coffee travelling from Melbourne - have to say, best one i’ve had in Ireland!

Went on Saturday, maybe not a good day because it was super busy. It’s a bit small for the amount of people, might be more comfortable on a weekday.
