04/05/2025: The front of house team at Carton House made our engagement the most magical experience! They were so thoughtful and helpful in curating the most perfect day from start to finish. A particular mention should be made for Goncalo, who kept us informed and entertained on our tour around the estate before the proposal as well as all the effort he put in to help my partner organise the day and the extra touches he made at dinner that evening. His recommendation for Richie, the photographer who captured our special moment, was incredible. We’d also like to thank the front of house team, particularly the reception staff, for helping to keep the proposal a surprise while still treating us to a complimentary room upgrade, bottles of champagne and prosecco, and a late check out! Truly we couldn’t be happier with our day and can’t wait to return to make more memories!

23/04/2025: Would I come back ((its a big NO)) staff were lovely but the food was tasteless slop ..... Award winning place for what I don't understand the only chef there seems to be the microwave....as all food is reheated I got the carbonara partner and son got burger must have been dry age meet and sitting for god knows how long as it was like sand paper dry was a underestimated statement ...... I think the only fresh thing that came out of the kitchen was the frozen chips will never recommend anyone to go here and I myself will never be back

22/04/2025: Having driven from Newbridge last Saturday to arrive at 3 , after trying to find a place to park to get to this restaurant at 3.15. Very disappointed to be told they were closing . Even though closing hours not until 4 o’clock. There was a gentleman inside who had just been served yet we were told they were finished serving. We were just wanting to a Tea and Coffee and Cake. I have mobility issues and it took us longer to get there from parking car than normal. Very frustrating. …,,A little compassion would go a long way here.

13/05/2025: Fresh food and meat all year round. Great for kids to see animals and Christmas to see Santa. Now they have tours of the farm, learning to grow ur own veg and collect them. They take party’s and have kids corner crazy golf and more. I buy my meat here where I trust it’s real meat. Not fake meat like the supermarket

12/05/2025: Only found out about this farm a few months ago and we finally got to go. What a lovely place it is, very well priced and buying the animal feed adds to the experience and helps the farm out. The range of animals is fantastic just a brilliant spot for all members of the family, especially the little ones. The cafe is top notch, coffee is fantastic and the food is great. Not to mention the food you can buy is great value and as a vegetarian the options are there. We can't wait to come back and enjoy it all over again!

20/05/2025: A great little gastro pub in the centre of Kildare town. I always get the 'blade of beef' when I visit. A lovely occasional treat! The food is simply delicious 😋 and, while not cheap, it's pritty good value for what you get. 😃

24/05/2025: I arrived flustered just before closing time, but Nathan and Ciara were so friendly and helpful! The food was excellent and I’m sad I’m only passing through otherwise this place would be a regular!

17/05/2025: The food was very good but when I was ordering my food I told the manager what my order was and she rolled her eyes at me, I've had problems before with her as she's just generally quite rude and doesn't make the experience very nice but this was just bizarre.

24/05/2025: We stayed here for a wedding last week. From the moment we stepped in the atmosphere was lovely and homely. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The whole hotel, rooms included were the cleanest I have seen in a long time and the food was divine! Seriously impressed with this hotel!

19/05/2025: This restaurant was highly recommended, we reserved a table months in advance. When we arrived there was some confusion regarding our booking and they had to arrange tables to accommodate the three of us. We sat for 22 minutes before someone noticed we were had not been addressed. When I waitress approached she asked if we were ready to order, we were never asked if we would like a beverage. Shortly after we ordered the waitress returned to inform us that one of the mains we ordered was not available. One main course did not arrive, “there was a miscommunication in the kitchen” the waitress explained. The last main course for one individual in our party arrive after the others had finished eating. The appetizers and meals were good but nothing exceptional.

15/05/2025: We had dinner here after visiting the National Stud & Japanese gardens. The food was amazing & was served so quickly, we actually couldn't believe how fast it was served! The place looks lovely too & is very cosy. The staff were very friendly. We will definitely go back again 😊

11/05/2025: Food taste really very good,I would love to come back just for food but….to wait a table-no problem,understandable if it’s busy,but….we ordered food coffees and bottle of water, I got my cup of coffee,my wife got after 5min maybe more,,,,to wait a food…a never ever waited so long,we ordered bottle of water but we never got,maybe needed to wait another 40-50min 😀

04/05/2025: I travel quite a bit for work and make a point of visiting local cafes for lunch and there's simply nowhere that compares to timeless. The food is excellent, priced correctly and portioned right. A must visit if you're in the area.

05/05/2025: Don’t miss this spot! Worth a drive from anywhere. We’re on our way back from Cork to Belfast and found this place online. Just on the canal and restaurant quality food in a olde world pub setting. Burger is the best I’ve ever had anywhere. Chicken wings are terrific. Service is 1st class . Professional courteous and prompt.!Has its own brewery and beers to sample.

22/04/2025: I have eaten a lot worse for a lot more. The food we had was exceptional and the price represents excellent value for money. The duck and the lamb were amazing. The sticky toffee pudding was better than what I had in a Jamie Oliver restaurant. Wine selection is very good and great value compared to other restaurants. They have of course their own brewery craft beers and alcohol selection in general is varied with a large selection of gin and whiskey. I would absolutely recommend Lock 13 over many restaurants in Naas and Sallins. There is nothing pretentious, they don't try to be good because they just are a really good gastropub. I am really fussy to be fair and there is nothing I can complain about at all..

29/04/2025: The best Thai restaurant I've ever been in united Kingdom. Having a quiet meal with authentic food is a 5 star to me. The inside decoration is beautiful. You can feel the Thai vibes with their soft music background. The Asian Staff greeted and we were cheerfully seated for table for 2. Been presented with their contemporary leather menu/drink cover list. Which is easy to order. We ordered the spicy garlic sauce in vegetable with pork and pad Thai with pork for our main, starter is the sharing for 2 which has a 4 choices of dumplings, spicy chicken wings, spring rolls and sesame chicken toast and the sauce compliments it. The pad Thai I really enjoyed it.pork was tender and tasty. The food and drinks are all reasonable price. Absolutely recommendable and top rated Thai restaurant. Will definitely comeback. Thank you.

27/04/2025: Zen Thai is a real gem! A gorgeous place with friendly staff, great service and absolutely stunning food. I am a coeliac but the menu is labelled with allergens and there was loads of choice for me. A special thank you to the gentleman who took my booking and explained about how seriously they took my condition. It gave me great confidence in the food so I could relax and really enjoy it. We will be back!
