05/07/2025: Great place for a short family break.

05/07/2025: The "Spirit" of Carton House is kind natured and warm. We were made to feel very welcome throughout all of our experiences over 4 days. Don't even get me started about the quality of the food and the lovely dining experiences! I also believe Carton House is an excellent value. I hope to return one day soon. I am grateful.

23/05/2025: First time getting take out here and really impressed. Beef and chicken burgers very tasty. Cheese and bacon chips delicious.

19/06/2025: The Moat Club production of Present Laughter by Noel Coward is a joy to watch. The direction, set and costumes are superb. Coward’s verbal wizardry is well executed by all the actors. The Moat Theatre is an intimate venue with excellent staff and lends itself to this enjoyable production. Thanks one and all for an enjoyable evening.

22/07/2025: Great selection of restaurants all in one building Also the additional Park and Bark dog park is a great help for pitstop with the dogs, so they can stretch their legs too Hoping some other sites start to introduce similar soon!

19/07/2025: Stopped into Mayfield Fare at Junction 14 around 8am and picked up three breakfast rolls for the road, and it was honestly a complete waste of €22.50. The rolls were disgusting. The bread was weirdly soft and soggy, not crusty or fresh like a proper baguette should be, and the rashers were basically raw, a really light pink colour that didn’t look cooked at all, they seemed to be dripping which I think is what made the rolls so soggy. The sausages had a strange aftertaste and overall, the food just wasn’t edible. At €7.50 per roll, it felt like a total rip-off. And sure, you could go back in and say something, and to be fair, I usually always would. I work in hospitality myself and always believe in giving places a chance to redeem themselves. But this is a service station, the whole point is to grab and go back on the road, which we did. It’s not a restaurant where you sit down and can send something back on a usual basis. That needs to be remembered. Staff were mixed, the older woman on till was lovely, and the lads were very polite, but the girls behind the counter who I dealt with didn’t seem too bothered. For such a busy place, it was a seriously disappointing experience. We’ve actually eaten here before and thought quite highly of it, which is why this was such a letdown. Hopefully just a bad day, but when the food is this poor, it really leaves a bad taste, literally and figuratively. We won’t be rushing back this time.

04/07/2025: Really lovely place to eat in the heart of Kildare town. Staff were incredibly friendly and easy going. Our table all enjoyed Thai dishes. The Thai red was so fragrant and tasty.

25/06/2025: Food and coffee are always on point. The flake on the coffee is a winner. Staff are amazing, and I could name a few members who are worth mentioning as individuals, but I'm sure they know who they are. Big respect for this establishment. The bar and pizzas are also worth their weight in gold.

12/06/2025: Nice space; although a lil pricey. More expensive than Dublin. 16 for a sandwich is a lil steep. Really nice staff!

20/07/2025: The staff at this hotel is what makes this hotel great your exceptional receptionist Hazel went above and beyond for me as made of honour at my best friends wedding here this weekend she was incredibly helpful. I had the Pleasure of meeting Owen and Emma who was the manager and Wedding coordinator they were incredibly kind in supporting everything my friend wished for her wedding I cannot Put into words how grateful I am To anybody looking to stay for a weekend or planning a wedding I highly recommend

20/07/2025: We only ate in the bistro. Good sized meals and accommodated the sons limited taste without issue. All plates emptied and were tasty. Staff helpful and prompt. Thanks

12/07/2025: Kildare farm foods organic farm walk. Highly recommended, fantastic knowledge and enthusiasm from Ryan and Cory on the tour. The food afterwards was also delicious as usual.

02/07/2025: By far the best spot for breakfast or lunch in Kilcock! The bacon hash is unbelievably good, but everything that we have ever tried has been devoured! Well worth the visit any time!

31/05/2025: Pizza was just amazing had pepperoni pizza and chips. Think it's best pizza I've had. And I'm a big pizza fan. Chips were skinny skin on chips and again just delishous. Best of all great prices at 20 each for 2 pizza and chips and drink each

18/07/2025: Beautiful place with the kindest servers and fast service - right beside the train station. Jun in particular was extremely lovely and hospitable - he even offered to look after my suitcase while I went to the bathroom. I highly recommend visiting here! 🌸

17/07/2025: I had an amazing time at lock 13!! A friend and I got drinks from the amazing bartender jun and his service was incredible. He really made us feel welcome and his bartending skills were very impressive! Will return for sure!!

12/07/2025: Great experience in the Grill shack today. We had a lovely waitress called Gemma she was so friendly and greeted us and made us feel so welcome, food was lovely too will definitely come back.

04/07/2025: We have been to somerset around 3 times now and this has to be our favourite place to eat, the food is superb, the best Thai food in the uk 😊 not that we have tried them all but we have tried many different thai restaurants and zen thai is our favourite ! Great food, lovely owners and staff, just wish we lived closer, would eat there every weekend, thank you spencer and staff mark & julie xx

02/07/2025: The experience at Zen Thai is incredible. We come most years on our annual trip to Somerset and the food is just outstanding. The service is also incredible, from everyone there but particularly Spencer. You really feel like there is real effort and care put into everything.

12/07/2025: This is not my first time to dine at canvas and it won't be my last 👍 I had lasagne and chips 👌 perfect. It's a very small restaurant that's the perfect size to make it so friendly and cosy. You always feel welcome as the staff are so nice 👍 definitely worth a visit 👌
