⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a wonderful experience at Zen Thal. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. Every dish was full of flavor, and you can really tell they care about quality. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit, making us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was relaxing and enjoyable. Highly recommended if you’re looking for great food and outstanding customer service. We’ll definitely be coming back!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An absolutely outstanding meal at Zen Thai in Cheddar. The food was exceptional from start to finish, and the service was just as impressive. Owned and run by Spencer and Pear, along with their amazing, attentive team, this is the kind of place where you feel genuinely looked after from the moment you walk in. We started with the sharing platter, which was the perfect introduction and packed with incredible flavours. The Massaman curry was simply out of this world, and the Beef Penang was to die for—rich, perfectly balanced, and cooked to perfection. Every dish tasted beautifully authentic. To finish, we had the Thai-style profiterole with vanilla custard, and it was absolutely outstanding—the perfect end to an unforgettable meal. Part of me wants to gatekeep this place because it's that good, but it's simply too special not to share. If you're anywhere near Cheddar, do yourself a favour and book a table. We'll definitely be back!

Exceptional Thai! Service and food were both excellent.

Had a lovely meal for my mum’s retirement last night at Zen Thai. Delicious food and really friendly staff! They were so accommodating and kind - we brought a cake with us to celebrate, and they had decorated it with fruits. Staff were really lovely and we had a great night! Would definitely recommend!

Ordered a takeaway for two based on good reviews. An average Thai takeaway meal. Food was just satisfactory, but fell way short on quality authentic Thai fod. Service when ordering was fine.

My partner and I attended this restaurant on a Wednesday evening and I must say it was quite possible the best experience we’ve ever had! The food quality goes above and beyond all expectations, the atmosphere felt authentic and the table service was truly phenomenal. Liam was our waiter and I could not recommend him higher. A true saint to that place! 10/10.

Was expecting better from the reviews. Very expensive for food which was lacking flavour and depth. Staff very friendly.

Amazing food and very authentic. Prices were reasonable. The restaurant is small with limited tables so I would recommend booking. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and the staff were lovely. Would definitely return.
