Clancy's in Athy

I had my engagement party here and we had the best night ever! John is a gentleman and organised food and dj for us and even decorated the lovely hatch for us which took so much stress off our shoulders. Me and my partner had the best night along with all our guests. Would highly recommend!! Also fab DJ everyone spent the whole night on their feet dancing 💃 Thanks a million!

We had a brilliant experience here, and a big part of that was thanks to John behind the bar. He was genuinely one of the best barmen I’ve ever come across—so friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. He made everyone feel at home, had a great attitude, and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. Excellent customer service like his really stands out!

We arrived at 8pm and were treated to wonderful live Irish music by about 15 musicians of all ages. It was simply wonderful and the atmosphere in the pub was very pleasant. The beers were very tasty.

We had our wedding day 2 at clancys and it was the best crack. We met with John a few months prior and had the whole day arranged in about 20 minutes thanks to John’s expertise and ideas. John kept contact up until the day and was excellent with everyone from ensuring everyone had a pint in hand all day to sorting taxi’s home. The staff at clancys were excellent and altogether this provided the perfect warmth day 2 venue that we had wanted. Clancys- you were brilliant, we recommend and will be back.

When I was booking a place in here, I told we might take the two hours of chilling together, but everything turned out to be much easier and more interesting than we expected. We arrived at 19:00 PM, and left when it had become quiet, when even the staff were already heading home))) We loved everything — the service and the atmosphere. It was the best birthday with my friends and loved ones. We laughed a lot, drank a lot, joked around, hugged, and simply enjoyed the moment! What could be better than spending your 24th birthday surrounded by the best people? ))) Thank you, Clancy’s! We will def come back!!!

We had our wedding day 2 in Clancy's on the 15th February and would highly recommended them for any similar event! John is such a gent and couldn't have been more helpful in planning . We told him what we wanted for the day and he organized the music and finger food for us. So helpful when you have enough wedding planning to be doing! On the day he had the hatch area decorated for us which was such a thoughtful extra touch. He was on hand on the day to help us with anything we needed.
