Our first authentic Irish pub experience didn't disappoint. Truly strangers are friends you haven't met yet here at Clancy's. If we find ourselves back in Athy, we will make it a point to visit

Such a strange (but fabulous) bar. Old world Irish pub at the front and modern bar with music at the back .

The Auld Shebeen Bar Athy

31/03/2024: Upon arrival the surrounding derelict buildings are a bit off putting ( not their fault) but once inside the accommodation was excellent, the food was delicious and the staff more than helpful, not suitable for people with mobility issues as you have to climb a couple of flights of stairs to access the accommodation and their is some road noise at night because it is adjacent to the main street of the town.

26/03/2024: Wonderful ladies, lovely food and coffee or tea cakes you can sit relax in comforted
24/03/2024: Staff was great! Had an excellent Chai Latte. The coffee shop was comfortable with plenty of seating. Lovely place to spend a cozy hour reading!
