14/02/2024: I ordered a burger ๐ yesterday for my son and they give me absolutely empty burger not even ketchup ๐ it's just me who is treated like this horrible takeaway I ever bought something .
06/02/2024: As Italian chip shops go, this is the best one around. Huge portion sizes. Great burgers, fish and pizza's. Extensive menu too.

05/02/2024: Had a meal and it was extremely busy...atmosphere electric and one thing...even though it was buzzing..the waiting staff were absolutely amazing... friendly and polite...no grumpy faces!! Happy happy faces ๐...taking food to their customers...now...I must say...the food was really to die for!! I had the chicken and ham and it was better than mine...succulent and delish and the veggies were tender not (thank God) overcooked!!! As for the desserts....you cannot go wrong... one thing though...all food was so good to the eye...we all "dug" in and not one pic of the food taken!! Only downer would be...if serving steak or meat...a steak knife or a serrated knife would do!! Kudos to the chef...and the staff of the restaurant...you have gone that extra mile...we went walk about and the grounds were beautiful...The Stations of the cross...the Chapel...
If wondering what to do in Athy and you are feeling peckish or starving....this is a place to go too!! Well done really...been telling all my mates about it!!! ๐๐๐๐

31/03/2024: Upon arrival the surrounding derelict buildings are a bit off putting ( not their fault) but once inside the accommodation was excellent, the food was delicious and the staff more than helpful, not suitable for people with mobility issues as you have to climb a couple of flights of stairs to access the accommodation and their is some road noise at night because it is adjacent to the main street of the town.

24/03/2024: Nice place and lovely staff. I didnโt eat here but ordered a flat white to take away. Unfortunately they only have a limited range of dairy milk, and use low fat milk. This is totally wrong for a flat white. It should be smooth, creamy with a good coffee hit. Instead, the Insomnia version is thin and insipid. The coffee is decent, but overwhelming without the fat needed to refine the taste. For anyone wanting espresso, Americano etc itโs fine. I was disappointed. They should change the description to โskinny flat whiteโ. Arguably there is no such thing, but that would be more accurate.

26/03/2024: This was the best place to get food in athy. I Bring my parents every week. Won't be any more. The new chef doesn't like to cook vegetables and the portion size has been reduced by about 75%. Got a conformation salad for my dad, always his favourite. Well this was quarter the size it normally is, to charge โฌ13 for that was daylight robbery. The brocoli rabe was like he just cut it off the head of brocoli and plonked it on. Myself and my mother got the chicken with mushroom sauce, the chicken and mash the only edible part of the meal. I understand some chefs cook veg al dente but this was raw. 2 weeks in a row terrible quality food.

21/02/2024: On a flying visit to Athy, stopped here for a quick pint after passing several closed establishments. Landed on our feet as it turned out. Everything you could hope for from an Irish bar. Nice pint, friendly staff and welcoming clientele. Irish hospitality lives!
