The best restaurants in Kildare

13/07/2025: We stayed in room 201 for 1 night. If it had been for longer we would have asked to be moved. For such a posh hotel the room was OK apart from one of the curtain holdbacks being broken, and only allocated 2 tea bags. THE MAIN PROBLEM WAS THE BATHROOM. THE WATER RAN INTO THE TOILET PAN CONSTANTLY. THIS MADE THE CISTERN CONSTANTLY FILL UP WITH WATER. THE NOISE WAS ANNOYINGLY CONSTANT. WE HAD TO BE UP BY 4.30am BUT SLEEPING THROUGH THE CONSTANT NOISE WAS NOT EASY. THE OTHER PROBLEM WAS THE SINK WAS A JOKE. IT WAS FAR TOO SMALL FOR A BATHROOM. YOU HAD A JOB TO BRUSH YOUR TEETH IN IT, A WASH WOULD BE COMPLETLY OUT OF THE QUESTION. YOU COULD NOT EVEN GET THE KETTLE UNDER THE TAP TO HAVE A DRINK, WE HAD TO USE ONE OF THE GLASSES TO PUT WATER IN THE KETTLE. IF YOU ARE UNFORTUNATE TO BE GIVEN THIS ROOM ASK TO BE MOVED. When we left we told the man on reception. He did not seem interested, we got the impression he just wanted us to leave.

11/07/2025: Have had a very good experience each time I've stayed/performed here, however, have had 2 sticky interactions with the same lady both times where she was just rude, talked over me at every chance, rolled her eyes and was passively aggressive repeating herself like she's reciting from the 'hospitality book', which pisses me off tbh. Presents with zero compassion and appears to really hate her job. I have examples but as trivial and minor as they are, they should have been easily taken care of which they weren't - a slight British lady.. All other staff - exceptional! bar none.

25/05/2025: If you're in the mood for delicious Indian food, check out this lovely buffet! They serve traditional dishes that are simply mouthwatering. The freshly made Appan and Parata are a must-try. The seating is comfortable, and the whole vibe is just delightful. They even treat you to some homemade Payasam as a complimentary dessert. I highly recommend this place for a great dining experience!

14/07/2025: We had an amazing stay at the Osprey this weekend in the beautiful sunshine! We had a reservation for dinner and they accommodated us to eat outside in their gorgeous courtyard. Our waitress Mandy was amazing....she was on the ball even with us eating outside and out of her view her service was outstanding. Will definitely be back!

13/07/2025: I had a lovely night away with my friend, we had a gorgeous meal and a few drinks, the staff were lovely and very accommodating. Would definitely recommend the Osprey Hotel

30/06/2025: Dad + 1 stopped for lunch at this pub before heading down the road to the Kildare Maze. Several beers on tap including Guinness, Carlsberg, and Rockshore Cider and Lager. The bacon and cheese beef burger was hot and fresh along with great chips. Apple pie was really small for dessert, but I also didn't order the ice cream with it, so it may have been more filling with it.

06/07/2025: Got the peach and serrano ham pizza yesterday and it was to die for!!! The pizza is amazing, best in Naas hands down! Top 5 I’ve had. The garlic dip was divine as well.

20/06/2025: Hands down, the best pizza in Naas. Their blue cheese and walnut pizza is the best pizza I ever had. No joke. I can’t believe I lived in Naas for 3 years and only now finally tried their pizza. Now I recommend it to anyone I meet and ordered several times myself. Service is also amazing. Whenever you ring them, they pick up the phone with the smile and always have such a cheerful attitude.

19/06/2025: Good little local pub. Staff are brilliant.

06/06/2025: Great pub, fantastic atmosphere with plenty of friendly locals. Fabulous place to watch a match if you're a sports fan. The place is immaculately clean.

05/07/2025: Almost 40€ in the door with 3 kids for an hour an a half. Grand. But nearly another 40 for 2 pizzas and a couple a fruit shoots and a coffee. Wouldn’t mind the fact I thought they gave me adults pizzas that looked like kids ones but they were undercooked cold cheese on it 🫩🫩

05/07/2025: Very good hotel, very centrally located, the rooms are adequate with everything you need. The staff is very friendly, and there's always someone who speaks Spanish, both at reception and at the bar. The buffet breakfast, a little limited for my taste, is sufficient. The hotel's food is good and not expensive. A quiet and recommendable hotel.

05/07/2025: My room smelt really musty (almost like piss) as I arrived, I complained at reception and they quite bluntly said they will turn my aircon on, and that will solve it. I return to my room an hour later and all they did was dose the room in air freshener, that much that I slipped on the floor when I entered my room. The only thing that muted the smell was having the aircon at full blast - but that only worked when I was in the room. This meant when I was out in the day the smell attached to all of my clothes. I didn’t bother going back to reception as the first guy was quite rude and I couldn’t be arsed with the back or forth. Really disappointing considering the price.

17/09/2024: All I can say is Heavenly! We ordered a carrot cake from L'Art du Chocolate for our friend's birthday and it was truly the most divinely gorgeous carrot cake any of us had ever had!! From the smooth chocolate mixed into the icing poured over the delectable cake filling topped with beautiful writing was the best birthday present we could have given her!! Just incredible! Thank you❤️

03/07/2025: Yesterday, we made a mistake and incorrectly ordered a pizza off the website with no sauce! I rang the branch and a Manager called James so kindly sorted the problem out. We had the Pizza re-make delivered in no time. He was a pleasure to deal with, that's what you call 5 Star Customer Service!! Thanks to James and the team in the Newbridge Branch.

01/06/2025: Kilcullen is so fortunate to have such a great cafe as this. Plenty of options, such a great asset to the town.
