12/07/2026: My experience with the food was great, however the person who served us was extremely rude. We opened the parasol and he asked us to close it because of the wind, which was fine. However, we explained that I couldn't talk to my friend because she was in front of me, and an employee went and removed it. Then this older man came to our table and said we couldn't remove it... we explained the situation and he rudely said we couldn't and angrily put the parasol back. It was ridiculous!
05/07/2026: Small group of people celebrating a birthday over the weekend.
All the young waiters they have currently are total disgrace. Forgotten drinks (multiple times) ordered food and when asked few questions about the dishes they get stressed and upset about it.
Not one single time were asked if we needed anything during dinner.
At some stage one of the girls just brings the bill over to one of the guests in our group and stands beside her and made her feel totally uncomfortable. At this stage we never got a chance to even order dessert nor we were asked if we need anything else from the kitchen as it was 9:15
Asked if we can get any dessert whatsoever and were told NO
That’s not a problem as our bad for not keeping an eye on time but we left over €400 bill that evening and left disappointed by the service received.

06/06/2026: Embarrassing business. Gave out to me because they took my order wrong. Would have been happy if they just changed the order. Taking it to socials shows their immaturity. Dont go here.
11/01/2026: Unbelievably good drive-thru coffee, tasty treats and absolutely lovely staff.... with a different dad joke on the board every day. They also do Squid points. If you love coffee, you'll love this place.

13/01/2026: Stopped in for dinner one night. Took a long time for them to tell me i could sit in the dinning room since she was on the phone. as i walk to the dining a lot of dirty tables. had to sit at a dirty table and wait for it to be cleaned. then i get a menu that doesnt show the grill option. Needless to say i wasnt impressed and walked out since i couldnt get what i went there for.

15/07/2026: Lovely place where you can sit outside to eat your food. It relaxing to eat outside with a few beautiful old trees to look at.
The prices are affordable which is well appreciated.

The chicken burger was absolutely delicious and the highlight of my visit-juicy, flavorful, and well worth it. I also tried the cheese & garlic fries along with the fried chicken, but those fell short as they were quite greasy and had a hint of old cooking oil. That said, the menu has some great value options, and the pricing on certain dishes is a real steal. The staff were friendly and kind, and it was convenient that they accepted Revolut payment when I didn’t have cash on hand.

Great portions for the price and the crispy chicken is fantastic here.

18/07/2026: We had an amazing night at Donatello's in Maynooth on Friday, 17th July, with my work colleagues. From the moment we arrived, everything was fantastic. The food was absolutely delicious, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was second to none.
A special mention has to go to Niamh, who looked after us very well. She was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect. Her service was genuinely 10/10 and really helped make the night so enjoyable.
We all had a brilliant evening and couldn't have asked for a better experience. We'll definitely be back and would highly recommend Donatello's to anyone looking for great food, excellent service, and a wonderful atmosphere. Thank you for a memorable night!
07/07/2026: I enjoyed a delicious meal there today. The food was so tasty, service great, staff friendly and efficient , we are returning Saturday with family. Shout out to Christina. Mary Fagan.

27/06/2026: The pizza here is probably the best I’ve ever had in Ireland! The pasta is cooked perfectly! We’ve eaten in and gotten collection before and it is always unreal! Huge recommendation to head here for your next pizza!
23/06/2026: Over hyped sloppy undercooked watery mess. Maybe if they stopped pretending they were wood fired pizzas and actually did it. Things might be different. Go to bella wood fired pizza in newbridge. Loads better. On the plus side the girl at reception was very friendly and very professional. If only the food was as good

06/04/2026: About 2/3 weeks ago me and a friend of mine were refused entry at the door by a brand new bouncer I’ve never seen before .We go to mcCormacks every other week tip the amazing bar staff always and are good friends with all the regular bouncers so came as such a shock being refused entry for absolutely 0 reasoning when questioned why his response was ‘I don’t need a reason I make the rules just not tonight’ Just such a shame that a bouncers mood can affect someone else’s whole night out my friend and I had to go elsewhere while the rest of our groups night was also disrupted as they also left Mcormacks to be with us , terribly disappointed in the bouncer selection Mcormacks went with. He was about 5”8 Irish brown hair terrible attitude.

17/05/2026: Went in here for a coffee while in the queue a man behind me was asked what he would like I was left standing there then some finely ask what they could get me when I gave my order waiting on ot other girl came and said how much I turned said I've paid already I'm waiting on my order left standing there 🙃 one the girls came with tea and coffee asked where would I like sit mind you only on my own so why would I what tea and coffee make it worse no manger around at all I really don't think the staff know what the are doing will never be going there again

22/02/2026: First time in straffon staying in the K Club for the night and we asked were to go just for a drink to watch the match staff were so nice we had a pizza to try and it was lovely highly recommend the pepperoni pizza also the locals that were in there were so friendly and welcoming will definitely call in again A++++

05/08/2026: Absolutely delicious food, creative combination of flavours, friendly down to earth service, stylish decor. We dined in the restaurant rather than the bar, both are relaxed style. Busy enough on a Wednesday evening, nice ambiance. Looking for an excuse to return soon. 😀
Price reflects what I'd expect for this type of cuisine unlike the experience in some places nowadays.
02/07/2026: A very stylish restaurant that we discovered while passing through. We started with delicious bread and dips.
Our food was very tasty; we had the chicken, the beef burgers, and a chicken burger. The chicken and beef burgers were very juicy. Unfortunately, the chicken burger was very crispy and therefore dry.
We were served alternately by two women. One was very friendly, but the other seemed very annoyed and unfriendly, giving us several disapproving looks, which made us feel unwelcome.
