The best restaurants in Kildare

04/09/2024: Looked interesting but was turned away 3:45pm even though is listed as open until 5pm. Staff says kitchen closes at 3:30pm. Should update website & Google listing as was a bit of a drive for big disappointment.

03/09/2024: Absolutely fantastic meal. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The front of house staff were welcoming and attentive and the decor of the restaurant is beautiful with the fresh flowers and greenery. One of our all time favourite restaurants and it never disappoints.

31/05/2024: Now we're talking, porter at its best. Best bar staff supported by a great manager. Best Guinness for miles around and a good blend of clientele. Did I forget to mention Susie.......Hello Hello!!

15/10/2024: What a great experience recently. Early bird menu was exceptional on value, and the portion size was for the early bird was very good. Meal was very enjoyable. Staff, atmosphere, with the cocktail around €11 were fantastic.

07/09/2024: I would go back to this place just for the friendliness and friendliness of the staff! Exquisite food and great wine! The environment is elegant and refined and the soundproofing is perfect for conversation during dinner. My salad was not banal at all but rather rich and sophisticated 😋

29/08/2024: I have eaten here many times , without a complaint , ordered the seafood linguine for lunch , which was very good , however it was a very small portion, I felt € 26 for a small bowl of pasta however good, but not exceptional, was outrageous. I did not see the price before I ordered it. I will not be back at these outrageous prices for lunch The service was very good, and it is a lovely pub.

26/09/2024: Ordered Pizza and milkshake and w8 more than 40 minuta just to hear that they do not include in order . . .

06/09/2024: We had food there yesterday, my first time in months and the quality has at least halved, the chips were soggy, the burgers were thin and dry and the chicken wings were awful, two people €74 euro, we should have gone to McDonalds

25/08/2024: I have to say this is a top class take away, I have eaten in cafes and restaurants and given reviews, but I can highly recommend Florence's Take Away. The portions are great and the food is excellent. Second time here and it won't be my last. Keep it going folks as I said top class and thanks your food is fabulous 👌

23/09/2024: Lovely pub for a beer, and it has lovely, relaxing lighting all around. A great sport type pub with the Rugby on in one section and Football in another, so catering for eveyone, we as a group could also sit in an area for a chat too. So we'll done to the management top class and and that goes for the service and friendly staff too. Thanks for a great experience. 100%.

18/10/2024: Very tasty and well elaborated food. delicious cocktails. The waitress was very nice, our main too a good while to leave the kitchen and she was very apologetic. When the duck arrived at our table we were glad it wasn't rushed, the fat was completely rendered, making it very delicious. We ordered a side of carrots which were great! The restaurant is spacious and the bar looks great with natural light bathing it from above. We will be back!

13/10/2024: Went here for anniversary dinner and although I can't fault the flavour of the food, its the first time I've ever left a restaurant and had to stop off on the way home to get something to eat! I'm not a stranger to eating out and get that portion sizes are not huge in most high end restaurants but after dropping over 220 euro I wouldn't expect to leave hungry. My starter was scallops which were delicious and more substantial than the main which was the monkfish with razor clams. The piece of monkfish was hard to make last more than a minute it was so small. The razor clam was half a razor clam chopped up into pieces so small it was hard to know whether you were tasting them or not. Luckily I ordered a side of chips which was about a teacup full which I split with my wife who doesn't usually order sides but on this occasion needed something to bulk out the main. I had 3 whisky sours to drink, the first was delicious so ordered another which tasted totally different which I don't really understand if the same ingredients were used. I would have sent it back but the young guy who was serving us was also looking after half the restaurant so couldn't get his attention. The 3rd whisky sour came and they had obviously forgot to put any sugar syrup in it so that went back. It came back sometime later with no foam on top and twice as much whiskey and not that much sweeter. Our server was great he was just run off his feet. Overall a disappointing experience.
