15/07/2025: While I enjoyed the evening spent here, I’d put a lot of that on the member of staff that looked after us. The food was good and the service was friendly throughout. Given our party size we ended up being seated outside and the weather made this quite pleasant , however as the sun started to set it was obvious that given Dublins normal weather schedule of rain, the focus hadn’t been on making the outside area as special as the inside. The setting is lovely with large trees and garden to look over but there was no fairy lights in the parasol, very little lighting at all in fact. No outdoor gas fires (unless the large black ash tray is normally a fire), no attention to detail that you’d expect from a fairmont (see fairmont whistler for the perfect example of an outdoor space done right). Tables weren’t prioritised over the inside so dirty glassware were left way longer than should have been. Out of the extensive wine list only 2 and eventually zero wines were left despite the women’s open being over a week ago so a restock should have been done. There was also a hair in one of my parties dish that was just brushed off and one of our drinks came with crud on the glass so somethings slipping abit somewhere. Nevertheless, enjoyed my evening here but expected more from a fairmont restaurant.

14/12/2025: This is a take-away only spot that delivers gorgeous stone oven baked pizzas - thin and crispy Buffalo garlic bread is delicious, highly recommend

30/11/2025: If you like pizza you will love plur wood fired pizza based in naas town in friary road car park this unique way of cooking pizza is delicious .also you order on the phone drive down,park up and a member of staff bring your pizza to you absolutely beautiful

09/11/2025: Hotel : decor was nice, lots of seating area outside of your room if you wanted to get out of the room for a bit for a chat or what ever, on the first and second floor. Room was huge , bed was massive, bathroom was nice , shower head could use a bit of TLC but it was good other wise Oak Bar : I got the Hake and chips it was unreal, batter crispy, with lots of fish inside not just all batter, chips were chunky and with a few crispy bits. (8.6/10)

13/10/2025: Visited this lovely cafe with my kids last weekend and had an amazing experience, the staff were all so friendly but Vicky stood out to us as she was so friendly,helpful and great with the kids she was absolutely flawless. food was also great i had the chicken blaa was delish will defo be back. Thank you Vicky!!!!!

11/12/2025: We booked for 7 pm for our family and was totally let down by the long wait and awful service. I do not blame the floor staff or the kitchen staff but the owners who are allowing walk-ins putting pressure on staff and in turn giving bad service to the customers who have booked and paid good money to eat at this establishment! I hope the owners review their policy and put quality over quantity!

05/11/2025: If anyone says that food is expensive in the middle of the day in Ireland, they have no cop on. I have tried lots of places that are excellent and Lawlors is up there at the top.

15/08/2025: Little gem of a cafe. Came across it a few years ago and call in every time im in newbridge. Food is always freshly cooked and piping hot. Staff are very helpful too. Will continue to drive the 60kms from home to eat here anytime im in the town

27/12/2025: This review is about the breakfast only. I had the Full Fire earlier this year. It was mediocre but I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and tried it again today. Sadly, there was no improvement. Rashers - needed to be cooked more Sausages - fine but not that hot Scrambled egg - ok but not garnished. Pudding - I know pudding is already cooked but on Firecastle it barely touches the pan so is extremely unappetising and cold. Toast - underdone and cold. Chips - the best thing. Aside from the chips, everything else was either lukewarm or cold. On a separate note, Firecastle's prepared meals (lasagne, meatballs etc) are excellent but the breakfast needs serious improvement. I remember when the place first opened, the full breakfast was very good, well-cooked and hot. Then they stopped doing it for a while.

22/12/2025: A very comfortable place, my favorite spot for coffee. Very friendly and good coffee right in Kildare town. It also has rooms, a cooking school, and catering.

15/09/2025: Very local place with great meal deals and an authentic vibe. The service was very helpful and patient with us and you get to choose your own ingredients for sandwiches, different cakes and a soup of the day. We’ve loved it and it’s perfect if you’re looking for a place to eat away from the usual tourist places.

14/08/2025: Di nardis usually our go to place in athy but very disappointed today. Chips were only half cooked and didn’t taste good and portion was tiny , despite the price of the meals.
