06/07/2026: Updated July 2026, no change 👇 Nice screens, good sound. Tickets are expensive and for snacks for a family you'll need a second mortgage 😜 Some seats are sagging, showing their age. Toilets are not the cleanest. They don't do a good job of managing noisy/disruptive teenagers

08/07/2025: We had a lovely meal but more importantly, the pints were lovely, no line cleaner taste. Friendly staff, lovely character to the building. Will definitely be back when I’m in the area for the spuds. 5 ⭐

27/05/2025: Could not be a worse experience. Service was beyond appalling. Male server got the drinks order wrong, even after confirming it with us. No apology just into a huff. Customer service was non existent. Anyways, ordered pulled pork wrap. Absolutely terrible, no flavour, no rub or sauce used. Pork was hard, not shredded or pulled. Stuffed in some dry lettuce, no onion, no jalapeños, no cheese, no beans, no rice. Awful in every way. Place was deserted when we went in. Can see why. Sad

05/07/2026: I have ordered a takeout from here twice and had it delivered. Both times I have been left short something. The first time it was rice, and this time it was chips. It's very obvious that they don't check their orders before going out to their customers. On both occasions I checked the recipes and had been charged for both items. When I rang the first time I got the usual excuses, but they never credited my card. This time I just didn't bother calling, however they we never ever receive any more business fron this household. Truly bad service. David.

28/07/2026: A wonderful introduction to the area. Tasty food that is both new and nostalgic in equal measures. The staff were quick, friendly and professional. The atmosphere was also cosy but creative, a beautiful mural spanning a whole wall. I will definitely be coming back when we pass through again.

28/07/2026: Found this by accident looking for a place to eat on my way through. Good food, the server was lovely and the food was delicious. They provided colouring for my daughter.

08/07/2026: The place was dirty, even the serving staffs apron was dirty and she didnt know what ingredients were in the dishes. I certainly wont be returning

09/08/2026: Do not order from this place! I ordered a lasagne, pasta, wedges & two desserts. The order came with no lasagne. When I rang to let them know this & asked could they send down a whole new order because everything else would be cold by the time it arrived they refused to comply. I would have glad fully handed back the first order. Place is a kip with no ounce of respect for customers

13/07/2026: Red Torch Ginger is located above McMahons Gastrobar in the heart of Maynooth town. In short this is a wonderful place to dine out with friends, family or just just go in for a solo treat, you won't be disappointed 😊 My friend and I ate here recently and found it to be a lovely experience. The staff were very friendly and attentive without being intrusive, the food was incredibly tasty and the ambience is very relaxing, friendly and warm. We didn't feel any pressure to leave at any stage. While not cheap it is very reasonable and I would have no hesitation in coming back again. Highly recommended 😊

05/08/2026: Great food at a really good price 2 breakfasts and 2 coffees for 30 euro I don’t know anywhere else you’d get that the staff are always so attentive and pleasant and the food is delicious can’t recommend enough

29/07/2026: Ordered the pulled pork sandwich and it was so tough it could barely be chewed. We told the server, who then offered to speak with “the boss”, and we were told that he said “it just goes like that sometimes” and there was nothing that could be done about it. Not exactly the best response to say you’re happy to serve your customers inedible food.

12/10/2025: Lovely little coffee shop in the heart of Kildare town. Really welcoming and friendly staff, and very child-friendly. Also serving very nice coffee!

01/08/2026: It's honestly the worst burrito you will get. It pales in comparison to a boojum. The server hasn't a clue how to mix the fillings in comparison to boojum. The miniature scoop of beans they give you is an absolute disgrace accompanied by the shocking little drizzle of sour cream finished with a mere sliver off Chipotle sauce. With these factors getting a big burrito as they call it even though its still tiny by boojum standards it becomes as dry as the Sahara dessert even drier because of the servers inability to mix the fillings. The price is outrageous aswell for two people getting two meals it totalled 48 euro. That is preposterous as there is 0 value in it. Boojum is much cheaper and much tastier.

05/05/2026: Absolutely terrible customer service. The employee in the photo was extremely rude, disrespectful, and aggressive toward us. We simply asked for tissues, and instead of helping, he refused and told us to “order first” in a very hostile way. He also used abusive language and made the interaction feel racist and discriminatory. No customer should ever be treated this way over such a simple request. His attitude was completely unprofessional and unacceptable for someone working in customer service. This experience made us feel humiliated and unwelcome. Management seriously needs to address this behavior before more customers are treated the same way.

04/03/2026: I'd say this is the best Pub in Celbridge, not necessarily because of the beer or staff, as every place I've been to does well in those aspects, but because O'Connor finds a good balance between size and volume level inside. There's always good music playing, tables and chairs are well-kept, and it never feels overwhelming being there. No wonder people of all ages find themselves here compared to the rather one-sided customer base in other Pubs.

08/06/2026: Went for a Sunday dinner about 3 weeks ago, we had such a lovely waitress who was so kind and friendly to our daughter (and her duck 🤣) The food was unreal, but the service sealed the deal. Really lovely friendly staff, special shout out to the barman on duty also he - he made a fab cappuccino!!

08/06/2026: Dropped in here for food, really nice village pub that does great food. First time there and it was a Sunday afternoon so no idea if its a busy place in the evenings but staff there were great , and food was very good and hot was driving so no drinking but few in having a pint so im sure it was grand, would definitely go back, well done.
