17/05/2025: Well to be honest I've ate here a few times before but today the one day we really needed them to do there best we were fully let down there was 10 adults and 4 kids every adult got there food at different times when we did order we had to re order because they didn't get it right or messed it up eventually we got food but it was either burnt or not made correctly we did adress this with the manager but all we got was 10% 6.50 euro off our bill not one bit impressed as I feel they should of gave a 50% discount as unfortunately we didn't get the meal as a family we paid for.

14/05/2025: Had a great lunch in Newbridge at this cozy pub! The salad was fresh, vibrant, and full of flavor — topped with perfectly grilled shrimp, crispy tortilla strips, and a tasty dressing on the side. The ingredients were fresh and the portion generous. The atmosphere was warm, and the staff were friendly and attentive. A great spot in Newbridge — highly recommended!

19/04/2025: We visited this restaurant during the early bird hours listed on their menu, which advertised discounted prices on selected main courses. When we sat down and ordered two of the eligible mains, our server initially told us the offer might only apply if we also ordered a starter. After checking, she returned and confirmed that the offer was valid, so we proceeded with our order based on that information. However, when we received the bill, the discount had not been applied. We politely mentioned it, assuming it was a simple mistake, but another staff member checked and came back saying that the full price was correct. We asked to speak with the original server, who changed her statement and said the offer did require ordering a starter, contradicting what she had previously told us. There was no acknowledgment of the miscommunication or any attempt to resolve the issue, despite us having based our order on her confirmation. Due to time pressure (we had to catch a bus), we paid the full amount and left feeling frustrated and misled. The food itself was very average and certainly did not match the full-price value. The front-of-house staff were generally polite, but the overall handling of the situation was disappointing and unprofessional. Had we had more time, we would have spoken with the manager directly, as the situation did not feel fairly handled. I would advise future guests to double-check the conditions of any offer before ordering to avoid similar confusion.

17/05/2025: Ordered too good to go bag and they were closed when we arrived at around 5:30pm. Had a note on the door saying it was closed. You were supposed to be able to pick up a bag until 8pm. Knocked on the door twice and no one answered. Rang the number twice on the app and they did not answer. Got a text a few minutes later saying “can I call you later?”. If you’re not available to have too good to go bags please take them down on that day please!

10/05/2025: Going downhill fast. This place was so lovely when it opened it's such a shame that there are so many issues. There's many things on the menu that they never have in stock and the bathrooms are in a poor state. Went today for lunch and the waiter didn't seem to know what they actually had in stock and had to keep checking, there was about 4 tables waiting and no food coming out. After about 40 minutes we eventually got our food which seemed very rushed and bland. Their cakes are lovely and its a lovely place, it seems run by a bunch of young friends and it's becoming less efficient as time goes on.

I have sent to friends and even my kids teachers and they loved them as a unique treat. Will continue to use this fantastic service . Highly recommend 👌

05/05/2025: We recently visited Picaderos to celebrate my daughter’s birthday and we will definitely return. I contacted the restaurant via Instagram to enquire about its suitability for a member of our group with food allergies. Despite it being a closed day for the restaurant Martin came back promptly with all the answers and reassurance I needed. When we visited we were looked after on the night by Reagan and Denise who were so helpful, friendly and cheerful. The ambience was fabulous, enhanced by the guitarist playing in the background. The food was delicious with great size portions. Denise double checked the food choices for our guest with allergies was safe with the kitchen. We were so full after 2 courses we declined dessert but despite this we were surprised and delighted when Denise and Reagan arrived at our table with ice cream and a candle, a sombrero popped on my daughters head and the gorgeous musician sang happy birthday to her. Brilliant. We had a fabulous experience. Thank you so much. Did I mention the cocktails were gorgeous.

04/05/2025: Thoroughly enjoyable Saturday night out. Within minutes of arriving, we were offered drinks from their extensive menu. The staff helped us to choose 6 tapas and they did not disappoint! Top three being the beer battered hake, manchego croquettes and the chicken wings... we couldnt resisit their delicious churros to finish off! Thanks to all staff for a most enjoyable evening, we look forward to visiting again soon.

02/03/2025: Lovely little spot for an outdoor coffee, soup or toastie, Staff were so friendly and accommodating. Perfect place to refuel after some gorgeous woodland walks.

26/04/2025: We were served an absolutely inedible pizza with anchovies, olives, capers and an enormous amount of salt. The first reaction of the staff was that it was supposed to taste like that which was strange considering the amount of salt they'd put on top of salty ingredients. They eventually took it back, admitted it was full of salt, offered to get me something else and were later very apologetic but still. Ceaser salad was very mid - chicken was completely overcooked and had turned into hard chunks. Pasta was just okay, close to bland but won't say it was completely bland. Overall a very very underwhelming experience compared to restaurants in Kildare town and Naas that are in the same price point. I wouldn't write a bad review if it was just the pizza that went wrong, all the food we had felt like a letdown overall.
