12/07/2025: It was calm and the workers were so nice it had great food and also if you like crunchy food I would most definitely recommend the onion strips they were so good the perfect amount of crunchy taste and everything you could ask for all in one food I recommend this place to everyone and the food wasn't greasy can you believe it if I could I would rate this place 10/10 and it has great vegan/vegetarian options great for a family would recommend ps keep up the good work everyone who works there I am definitely going again

01/07/2025: Had a gorgeous meal in jrbs last Sunday. Chicken wings are amazing. We had fish and chips and my husband had codfather burger. My son had garlic bread and goujons. The new menu is fab and we totally recommend it. We will definitely be back. The staff were very helpful and the place is spotless. Great spot.

11/07/2025: Nos detuvimos en The Tea Rooms en Straffan para disfrutar de un brunch relajado de fin de semana y quedamos absolutamente encantados. El entorno es hermoso, luminoso y aireado, con una atmósfera cálida y acogedora que te invita a quedarte un rato tomando un café. El menú del brunch tiene algo para todos. Pedimos aguacate machacado con huevos escalfados y una guarnición de pan integral casero: estaba fresco, perfectamente cocinado y lleno de sabor. También pedimos un desayuno irlandés completo, que fue uno de los mejores que hemos probado, elaborado con ingredientes de calidad y nada grasoso. El café era excelente y también tenían una encantadora selección de tés de hojas sueltas para elegir, lo que me pareció un buen detalle. El personal fue amable y atento, registrándonos sólo lo necesario sin apresurarnos. Los precios eran muy razonables para la calidad y las porciones eran generosas. Muy recomendable si estás en la zona y buscas un brunch relajado y delicioso en un entorno encantador. ¡Seguro que volveremos! Asegúrate de dejar un poco de tiempo para echar un vistazo a la recién inaugurada Life Store Straffan, justo al lado de Tea Rooms, una fabulosa tienda llena de muchas marcas irlandesas de lujo.

11/07/2025: Estaba muy concurrido cuando llegamos pero logramos conseguir una mesa. Nuestro servidor fue amable y eficiente. La comida como siempre fue excelente. Preciosa selección de opciones sin gluten, lo cual fue genial para nuestro grupo, ya que teníamos personas con intolerancias.

28/06/2025: Was there last Saturday in the middle of eating my dinner waitress asked me to pay in case I left without paying food wasn’t great either , waitress could go on a manners course

27/06/2025: Have eaten here approx 15 times. Standards have really dropped in previous months. Last week was bad waiting 10 mins and no one approached us, went to the bar and was told someone would be down. Waited another 10 mins then left. Today ordered a triple decker club sandwich, kids pasta with tomato sauce and a chowder. Got a sandwich (not a triple decker) that was thrown together in 2 mins and put into the grill, egg mayo was cooked. Chowder looked like porridge Kids pasta and tomato sauce was pasta and cream sauce (only notified 2 mins before the food came out no tomato sauce) not ideal for parents with picky eater kids. Should be embarrassed serving food to that standard. Won't be back!!!!!

15/06/2025: Visited today based off a recommendation from a work colleague and the food was absolutely delicious. Staff were great and the restaurant had a lovely atmosphere. Will definitely visit again.

25/05/2025: This place and food were great from start to finish. This unique spot seamlessly blends the rich, aromatic flavors of Indian cuisine with some classic tastes of Italy, giving you the best of both. So for those who love their korma/madras or their pizza/lasagna both are done under the one roof. Keeping everyone happy. The portion sizes are very generous and the staff are very friendly.

29/07/2025: Popped in today for coffee as part of a local fundraiser!! Bumped into some old friends and plenty of time for chat in an easy going atmosphere. Had a very tasty 99 (ice cream cone) to finish off the visit. Very reasonable and delicious

26/07/2025: Had the Farmhouse breakfast, it was delicious. The brown bread is homemade and tastes out if this world. They use free range eggs - so another plus. Very friendly staff and good service. Highly recommend.

10/02/2025: Fine traditional pub with a loyal local clientèle. The Guinness is poured carefully and the pub serves the best pints in the area. Friendly place.

08/02/2025: El camarero principal parecía encantador y amable. Barmaid parecía un poco hostil al pedir unos cuantos Baby Guinness al final de la noche antes de hacer nuestro camino. Baby Guinness € 6. 50 cada uno parece una locura hoy en día 😔

26/07/2025: Absolutely beautiful food. Ordered from the early bird menu which was excellent value. We got the asparagus and pasta to start which where impeccable and the fillet steak for mains which was cooked to absolute perfection. The sides of chips and Caesar Salad where gorgeous also. Lovely ambiance and the servers were extremely polite and attentive. Great experience overall.

22/06/2025: If I could give 0 stars I would. Went in for food and coffee with my girlfriend at 3:20. We were given 2 menus and got a glass of tap water. Upon examining the menu for a few minutes we were told by their older male manager that they were closing in 10 minutes which is not what it says on their door or on google. We decided to put the menus back and leave the building so as not be an inconvenience and the manager followed us on our way out, shouting “you only came here for water did you?”. We found this extremely rude and wouldn’t recommend this establishment to anyone else as the manager is not particularly respectful and the opening hours are inaccurately communicated.

22/06/2025: Great breakfast menu with delicious coffees to wash it down. Handy stop off just off the motorway too, much better food here than what you'd get in a plaza.

07/07/2025: 1 star. Ordered pizza for over €20 and they couldn’t even include a small garlic dip. Seriously? At that price, the least you can do is not be stingy. Won’t be ordering again.

05/07/2025: Very nice Italian! Had the meatball pizza and have to say it was very very good! Also their cocktail menu has everything you can think of. Had the Pina colada and it did not disappoint! Will definitely be back.

26/06/2025: Stopped into this bar while passing through town. It has a very reserved atmosphere—quiet, low-key, and not much going on in terms of energy or crowd interaction. The staff were polite, though not overly warm or chatty, which might suit some looking for a more laid-back or unobtrusive experience. Drinks were reasonably priced and served without delay. It’s not the most lively spot, but it has a certain calm charm to it. If you’re after a peaceful pint and a bit of quiet, this place will do the trick.

21/06/2025: We were completely blown away! The Brown Bear exceeded our expectations. The food was fresh, tasty and the portions well sized. Service was excellent 👌🏻. Booking your table is required. Atmosphere was warm and relaxed. Highly recommended!

08/06/2025: I was genuinely surprised by the positive reviews for this place, as our experience was far from what we expected. This was easily one of the worst meals I’ve had in a long time. Portion sizes were shockingly small, and several elements described on the menu were either missing from the dish or possibly forgotten entirely. We weren’t the only ones disappointed—during our visit, I overheard other tables voicing similar complaints. When we raised our concerns, they were more or less dismissed, which only added to the frustration. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant and won’t be returning.
