Bistro 53 in Maynooth

A very nice meal at bistro 53. We had the early bird menu on a sunday which was good value, two courses for around €30. We didn’t have a booking which wasn't an issue, although I'd make a reservation if you plan to visit for dinner

We came in a big group, the restaurant did a special group menu for us. Food was delicious, atmosphere was very nice as well.

Dinner for one... Had a three course meal consisting of Fois Gras, Steak and Panacotta. The duck liver was cooked to perfection, didn't really enjoy brown bread that was served with it, as the sauce made it soggy in places but the flavours were good. The steak was tasty and served medium rare as requested and they swapped my chips with mash without hesitation. The onions served with the peppercorn sauce was finely chopped and superb flavour combination. Cleansed the palate with a mojito and enjoyed the started focacia bread with olive oil and balsamic glaze. The desert was well balanced, with the fruit compote and stawberries as a lovely side. The home made biscuit is sweet. Lovely atmosphere, quite romantic and the waiters are responsive and attentive. All round good meal out with plenty of meal options. Definitely a lovely meal out and would dine in again. Waiters are so elegant and stylish, can't fault their lovely manners and they make the meal a wonderful experience.

We were in this Restaurant on Sunday, had dinned here once previously and found it excellent however, very disappointed this time, rack of Lamb was tough and fatty, consistency of mash too soft, very small amount of veg, we also had Desert and Coffee, Overall presentation not good, food just Ok Won't be back ,

We had lunch here several times during our stay in Maynooth. The welcome was refined, the service attentive, and the food of great quality. As the pictures show, €18.95 for a lunch set menu offers excellent value for money.

Visited Bistro 53 Maynooth and the food genuinely blew us away. The sea bass was perfectly cooked with crispy skin, served on a beautiful risotto with a vibrant pesto sauce, absolutely stunning. The crispy pork belly was melt-in-your-mouth with a rich glossy sauce and creamy mash, just incredible. Both mains were easily 10/10. Desserts kept up the same standard, the tiramisu was classic and indulgent, beautifully presented with a coffee drizzle, and the sticky toffee pudding was warm, gooey, and sinfully good with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Could not fault either. The atmosphere is decent and comfortable enough. Service was a little slow to get going at the start but the staff really came into their stride as the time went on and were genuinely lovely by the end. Overall a brilliant dining experience, the food alone makes it absolutely worth a visit. Will definitely be back!

We came yesterday the food was amazing! My partner and son we all had starters, mains, shared desert and each course was impeccable. The Aranchini is beautiful, I had the tagliatelle with mushroom sauce and chicken probably one of my favorite dishes here along with there steak. Mihai hope his name is spelled right. Is lovely very professional with a warm and attentive manner. All the staff are very pleasant and professional. Compliments to the chef for the fab food yesterday.
