Rye River Cafe in Kilcock

This was our first stop from Dublin to Trim (Meath). No need to reserve in advance ad they have enough tables. We were catered quickly for a big group. Breakfast selection is divine. Coffee is perfect. Breakfast Burrito was the crowd favourite. Kid friendly, you can also work from here. Clean toilets and parking available in the area. Super nice!!!

Service was quick, polite and welcoming. All ingredients are clearly fresh. The black pudding beats Bury's famous black pudding! Brilliant place for breakfast/brunch. Highly recommend!

Fabulous food and surroundings but need to let some air in - very warm.

Unique interior, very cool. Great service. Food was top class, everything tasted so fresh and well cooked. We will definitely be back again soon.

Liked this place a lot. Service was slow but it was a weekend and it was busy. We had to wait to be seated, but we went and sat in lovely comfy sofas up on the mezzanine floor. We didn't have to wait too long. After ordering our food, we did have a bit of a long wait, which was unfortunate. The food however was tasty and hot. So can't fault it. My colleague however commented that her soup could have been a little hotter/warmer. Theses are just tiny faults that could be improved on , but certainly did not take away from the enjoyment of a lovely weekend lunch. The building,made from old stone which was a town hall for concerts etc has been redesigned and the roof beams and stone walls and fireplaces add a.lot of character to the place and a great outdoor seated area, which would be lovely to sit in, on a warm sunny summers day Overall I would give this place a very solid 8/10

First visit courtesy of our daughter in law who lives and teaches nearby Top notch food & service I had the medium breakfast The girls had porridge/granola mix with fresh fruits and French Toast with fresh fruits Tea for all 3 of us Highly recommended

I only managed to get here today and I live only 10k away!! shocking from me but I promise to be a repeat caller 🤣 everything from the ambience to the food to the service was excellent , definitely worth a visit

Great place to meet friends and have breakfast

We were driving to Dublin on a Sunday and wanted a coffee beak somewhere with our dog. The Rye River came up as dog-friendly and well reviewed so we called in. It was very busy and we were told that the downstairs tables were reserved for dining customers. There was then a confusing wait for a table upstairs. When we eventually got seats, the coffee was served in paper cups. The food passing by looked nice, but it all seemed a bit chaotic and not at all welcoming.
