Came for the Sunday roast as we're always excited to find a good one and had read great reviews. Unfortunately despite multiple nice touches and considerations like the gorgeous interior and the veggie roast coming with veg gravy for example, it was really disappointing. The roast potatoes were leathery, hard to cut and chew. The cauliflower cheese side was watery and not very well seasoned. The meat was soft and tasty but overall quite expensive for the portion size. Some of the digestifs also came as shots rather than in a glass with ice which I wasn't expecting. Wait staff are very friendly and attentive, but we did feel rushed. A heads up on pricing: a service charge is included in the bill, and for regular menus you have to order a certain amount per person, so it may not be suited to a group or special occasion as we'd hoped if everyone has to lock in and agree ahead of time.

We came here today for a roast dinner - we came in with no booking last minute and the waiter was very lovely and accommodating , the beef roast was gorgeous and whatever the puree was also delicious. The bar was dimly lit with a low level of music and so set the perfect atmosphere. Food was lovely + reasonably priced and service was great - would definitely return !

I can’t thank the staff enough for the service that was provided today. Me and my friend searched for a roast dinner today and despite being very busy, the man who was working was very accommodating and very kind. He immediately found a space. The roast dinner was top tier (the beef was gorgeous) and I would recommend this place to anyone. We shall be back again!

Legal Eagle is the best restaurant in Dublin. Delicious, perfect, atmospheric. And not expensive (compared to Paris)

Found this place completely by accident, the name caught my eye. And what a little gem, had the daily special, a chicken and bacon pie, which was excellent. The Guinness was very good as well. The highlight though was the service. The whole team were lovely but the manager was everything you could hope for! It costs nothing to be cheery, welcoming and engaged with your customers but it makes all the difference. I would definitely recommend visiting.

Had a Sunday Roast here during a weekend in Dublin. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The food arrived quickly and was high quality. The roast beef was the best I've had in a long, long time.

Mary's

07/07/2026: What appears to be a small pub from the outside is much bigger than expected. With an interesting decor and organization. It also has a large burger place on the lower floor. Which was actually great quality for a fast food venue.
27/06/2026: I visited the pub after hearing good reviews from friends. There is a small bar area at the entrance as well as a basement area with more tables. There is also a burger shop downstairs, which you have to go and order there if you are sitting at the pub tables. No nice attentive staff with plenty of seats. Self service. Polite and willing employees. A very nice idea for an Irish pub. Prices are in line with the country.

The House

09/07/2026: Long story short: staff were great. Don’t eat here if you’re vegan or plant-based. Very limited options. Giving 5 stars because the staff did an excellent job of not wasting my time (which I appreciate). I called over the phone to confirm they have vegan options, and the Google Reviews said there were good vegan options available. But when I arrived, I discovered this is not the case. “Vegan options” means plain avocado toast or a bowl of leafy greens. There are so many restaurants in Ireland (even way out in the countryside) who offer excellent vegan options. Support those establishments instead.
01/07/2026: Lovely atmosphere, food was awesome, and staff were warm & friendly. Thanks for the great experience - and for re-setting my expectations. What I mean is, so many people in the US told me I would not find too much "good food" in Ireland and warned me I would have to eat Indian food or kebab if I wanted flavorful meals. We had the mussels & chips (broth was a touch too salty but still great!) along with the pasta & prawns. Irish soda bread was great as well.
