12/05/2026: I've been here many times and it impresses me every time. The food is lovely, the staff are very friendly. It is never really noisy, it's just a lovely place to eat and have a 🍸.

26/05/2026: Would benefit from a young front of house, friendly, staff member to seat and give menu's and would also benefit from a young floor manager to organise staff and alocate sections as it was visibly unorganised on my last visit which lead to very poor service. Nobody checked tables and had ordered a drink when my main course landed at the table and it ended up coming the same time as the bill did as I watched staff look at the docet and leave it on the counter. Service needs serious attention as it will end up costing customers at the end of the day. Food was fantastic young bartender was brilliant and very friendly and there was one young lady with shorter hair that i thought was brilliant smiled and was attentive also. Otherwise it was pretty bad. Hopefully this review will help management figure it out. Have over 20 years experience in this sector and it was visible to me that there was no management of the floor going on at all which is a pitty, it would be a well run place with someone in the know taking care of the floor.

24/05/2026: Googled a nice restaurant near Slane and this one came up describing a Mediterranean experience and to book tables online. We couldn't navigate the booking process but decided to try drop in and give it a try. Turned out it is a pizza takeaway with no seating

09/06/2026: Our family's favourite place to dine. Have been here several times and never ever we had any complaints with the food served. Always served piping hot. As it's a busy place...sometimes there is a delay in taking the order,but definitely worth the wait.😉 The ambience is good and comfortable.

11/06/2026: I am writing this review specifically because of one of your staff members Becca. Vibrant fun and full of energy - I have years of experience working in hospitality and also attending weddings and she is genuinely a super star and knows how to engage and have fun. Best of luck with everything and do not lose your shine! In terms of the venue I was blown away I fell in love with it, and within seconds knew we will be booking this venue for our big day I would say service was good, friendly and experienced. Again Becca stole the show - nothing worse than an NPC serving at a wedding and becca was the main character (bar the bride and groom) not a paid ad. Just seriously impressed.

10/06/2026: Fantastic area to visit amd amazing hotel to stay a long relaxing week or weekend. Would recommend to friends amd family who enjoy the best of what's to offer here.

12/06/2026: We felt welcomed as soon as we arrived. The staff is amazingly helpful. The ONLY reason we didn't stay longer was because they were fully booked. Food was some of best we had in Ireland. We will definitely stay here when we return to Kells.

10/06/2026: Had afternoon tea here for a friend's birthday. Staff brought out a desert with candles and sang happy birthday and also offered to take photos which was greatly appreciated Food was lovely and service was great, only negative was they did not offer fresh tea and coffee during our visit. The only parking available on the day was council parking which is not connected to the hotel and the exit out of car park to the front of the hotel had no footpath.

This restaurant makes amazing seabass with green beans and baked baby potatoes. The flavors are perfectly balanced, and that's so wonderful and so important for everyone! Delicious passion fruit dessert.

19/05/2026: I am a local and have been in The Central multiple times and have always had a great experience, whether its been a family dinner, birthday party, drinks with friends, karaoke or musical bingo. The staff are so friendly, attentive and helpful. So many fun nights, days and yummy food. I am vegan and there are always options for me which is a bonus. Whether you're after a relaxing coffee, a cosy pint, dinner or lunch or a fun night with friends, every occasion is covered. Highly recommend 👌

13/03/2026: Had breakfast this morning in room8 and I can not fault anything, the food was so tasty and fresh, nicest breakfast I have had in awhile. We will definitely be back.

13/06/2026: It was my first time in Vanilla Pod restaurant, and I can say it was a wonderful experience, not only because of the great service, but the food was delicious 😋. It is difficult to describe how good it was. I order 3 course meals, but it is charged separately, I mean, for the dinner there is no option to choose 2 or 3 course as you can find it on the early bird menu. Although there is not a option, I strongly recommend the dinner in Vanilla Pod restaurant! Team are friendly (congratulations Caroline! Sorry I don't remember all the staff's names!). Only the atmosphere was loudly, maybe because there were 3 celebrations at the same time. Anyway, I will come back, definitely! Special because I couldn't try the Pork in the main menu (they served all the portions at the time I got in the restaurant). Congratulations, guys for good quality and good service!

10/05/2026: Bad experience. I asked for my meal with gravy on the side. It came smothered in gravy. It had to be sent back. My partner was half way through his meal before i had mine returned

15/06/2026: Family night out, this was our second time here, we learned our lesson from the first time not to order so much(even though the waitress told us we'd have loads). Huge portions, so tasty. We also tried one of the dessert skillets(couldn't fit it in the first time!) Friendly staff.....enjoyed every mouthful and every minute if our visit here.

15/06/2026: Went last night. The food is amazing. Great quality and very big portions but your waiters let you know this before ordering which I found a great service. Staff are really nice. It's nice and quiet so you get to have a chat. Definitely great value. I will definitely go back 💯 recommend

15/06/2026: Was there this morning my husband got pancakes and bacon not good I got the rhubarb merangue which had hardly any rhubarb and was more like an Eton Mess with a squirt of rhubarb. We were waiting nearly half an hour to be served. Overall, not a very good experiance

13/06/2026: Nicely decorated, revamped and refurbished. Young modern look to it and young staff. Plenty of outdoor and indoor dining space. Very popular for coffee. Attracts all age groups. Limited lunch and brunch menu, but tasty. I had the big hot breakfast, delicious and big, two of everything. Would recommend offering a smaller helping also - a Cub Scout's breakfast maybe. My companion had a tasty fish and chips. Nice coffee and limited desserts, sold out of most sweet things. Busy on a sunny Saturday afternoon. Some seats had a lovely sea view. Will visit the place again on a quieter midweek day. Well done to Sabrina and staff. Tús maith, leath na hoibre.
