The Round O in Navan (an uaimh)

Busy spot with great service and excellent food.

We wanted a carvery and never in Navan. Beef was so tender and succulent and left absolutely stuffed. Really nice food and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend it here foe food.

Food was great; service was fast and friendly. Early bird sitting; kids etc. A little quiet at that time

We waited far too long for our salad, and unfortunately when it finally arrived it was almost inedible because it was extremely salty. We mentioned this to the waiter, but the only response we received was, “I’ll let the chef know.” There was no apology, no offer to replace the dish, and no attempt to resolve the issue. We found the way the complaint was handled very unprofessional and disappointing, especially after such a long wait.

I've visited this place on a few occasions as it's fairly near to me. Myself and my family went here for dinner as my wife wanted to treat myself and our daughter. They ordered their dishes which consisted of a prawn salad and I ordered large chicken wings. A female waiter approached me with chicken wings drowning in sweet sauce. I explained that I asked for no sauce on the chicken wings. She then tried to give this to another customer who also refused this. Another waiter arrived a few minutes later and gave my girls their ordered meals. Which was covered in salt and they could only manage a few bites before giving up. I got my large chicken wings and upon inspection I could clearly see and taste that these wings had been originally drowned in sweet sauce and obviously hand washed to remove this sauce. I said nothing and eat it anyway as I was hungry. I actually felt very unwell at the end of our meal. My wife complained to the young male waiter who was really polite and apologized for this. I didn't tell my wife until we got home. I will NEVER enter this establishment again. I'm quite sure that washing sauce off an unwanted order and then serving it back to the same customer has some serious food safety issue. The kitchen staff here need some serious retraining and I'm sure their management team have to take some responsibility here. But I would not recommend this place. I would suggest taking the roundabout and heading to a different place to eat.
