We had dinner in the Hatchet Inn for the first time last night and we will definitely be back the staff we so friendly and helpful and the only thing I can say about the food is amazing,we look forward to our next visit.

This is fantastic place in a lovely rural setting in Meath. My wife and I had plenty of meals here on numerous occasions 💯💯💯. They have live music events which are great for the Craic 🍻🥂🥃🍾🥩🍕. The staff are very friendly and hard working. You won't make a mistake by going to The Hatchet 5 ⭐️🌟⭐️🌟⭐️ all the way. Stephen Martin

09/09/2026: We stopped at Pádraicíns Gastropub for a quick bowl of seafood chowder while returning from Inis Mór. The location is very picturesque and the pub has a lovely setting, but unfortunately the chowder was disappointing. It was very thick and heavily loaded with sweetcorn, while there was very little fish or seafood. Perhaps we caught it on an off day, but based on the chowder alone, it wasn’t particularly memorable.
06/09/2026: Amazing Seafood Chowder. Wow. Lovely waiting staff. Most attentive . I come here whenever Im in galway for their chowder
