27/02/2025: Ordered 5 pizza for a leaving do in the hospital, food was delivered on time and all pizza was amazing, everyone loved them and big shout out to the delivery driver how helped me in with all the pizza and also saved me from falling over a flower pot as I didn't see it, as the nurse said you saved my life 😀 and embarrassment 🤭

The Donkey Shed Restaurant
23/09/2024: A great hidden gem I discovered. Nice food, but even better than the food was the customer service & attention to detail. These folks need to give classes on how to serve in a restaurant. Remarkable!!
Oh, don't forget to buy some carrots for kiddos to feed the donkeys! Wait until you see the antiques shop. Get some farm fresh produce while you in there!
20/06/2024: Clean and friendly staff,food is frozen food heated up...I got ribs and chicken wings ..ribs where ok but a bit cool...chicken wings were nearly cold...the wife got chicken wings and hers were hardly heated..service was slow and no one came back after serving to see if everything was OK with food..I expect more for my money so I won't be back...

Caffrey's of Batterstown
01/02/2025: I'm sorry but this place is quite over rated.
Eye wateringly expensive.
€8.20 for a beer.
€20 for a dry "halfpound" burger that was clearly a reheat.
Soggy batter on the expensive fish dish.
I'm not sure this food is cooked on site, even the chips were like dry cardboard. Felt like they'd been reheated multiple times.
It's Dublin city prices ffor below average fare.
We were in at a quiet time and service was ok but the place was still empty.
In summary it's a nice ambient and staff are ok but the food is just not good and it's extremely expensive for what it is
26/01/2025: Delighted the sea food chowder here was gluten free as I have had a run of bad luck with other venues not being able to serve Coeliac's chowder. It was one of the best sea food chowders I have had...probably in years, full of chunky fish pieces and really creamy, I intend to travel out of my way in the future just to return for the chowder :) Lovely set up inside, fire was on, very reasonably priced, the staff were attentive and friendly. Caffrey's is one to pop in to.

04/11/2024: Never had a bad meal on passing through Bunclody & stopping at the Rivers Edge, BUT yesterday s sun lunch was 50/50 my husband had Beef & was lovely I had lamb and to say it was the worst Lamb & portion I ever had, it was shockingly bad, 3 less than half slices that were so thin nearly see through they were so thin!! I mentioned to the server when asked, €17.00! This needs your attention Rivers Edge!!

Hattons Cafe Bistro
23/03/2025: Called this evening at 7:25 pm to a restaurant with approx 15 people eating their be told the kitchen was closed! Disappointed as on the website and on the wall outside it says serving food until 8pm.
14/02/2025: Great Food and menu , great atmosphere , will definitely be back. I went with my family for lunch, great spot for lunch or dinner.

09/07/2024: We went for a late Sunday lunch around 5pm. It’s not a traditional carvery but they did offer, turkey, ham and beef plated Sunday lunch which was delicious. By 5pm they had run out of the special and 3 other menu options but I guess that is our fault for not going earlier.
Our server was very young but she was very friendly and fid a great job.

25/11/2024: I really wanted to give a better review for our experience here but there were a few too many little issues. We visited for Spanish night - the venue was cold and dim. Our waitress had no idea about the menu, we were quite confused as to where to go initially. Starters were delicious. One of our mains were stone cold and had to be replaced. When we asked for a second bottle of wine it was simply left on the table with the cap on. We could have done with extra plates for the shared starters. The staff were very friendly and kind. The wine was delicious
22/11/2024: Went for an evening meal but we were told they finished serving at 4pm!!!! Was disappointed was a nice friendly pub restaurant
