Caffreys in Oldcastle

My friend and I had dinner here last night and we'd highly recommend this place. The food and drink was of a very high quality and the service was excellent. There was a lovely atmosphere and the staff were so friendly.

Food was unreal, got the sirloin steak, was cooked lovely, onions rings were perfect and the garlic fries were fab

We came here on the recommendation of a local and two of us got the beef burger and we ordered garlic fries and wedges and peppered sauce as our sides, the food was gorgeous, the burger was lovely and moist and the rashers were proper rashers and not overcooked. The garlic fries were done in garlic butter which was different but much better than being covered in sauce. The only downside we had was our waitress who was blonde and seemed unfriendly. When we placed our order she did not write it down and went over and put it in, fair enough, maybe she has good memory but when our food came out (we were served by a different lady who was absolutely lovely) we did not recieve the garlic fries and was missing the peppered sauce, the new lady immediately fixed this without delay which was greatly appreciated. Other than that I would definitely stop in again, the decor, atmosphere, service in general and food was brilliant. The price is what you would expect to pay for a beef burger meal in a restaurant and I would have no qualms about paying again.

Third time having dinner and drinks at Caffreys and once again,.didn't disappoint. Lovely Guinness, lovely service and delicious food.

We got some food here a vegetable soup and a vegetable curry both really good and the atmosphere inside was great lovely bar to chat in.
