09/07/2024: Really surprised at how wonderful the food and service was here. As other people have said don’t judge a book by its cover! The ladies who waited on us were so good. The best waitresses we’ve ever encountered. The lamb was perfect. The veg still had bite. The lasagne was al dente and the deserts…oh my days! So good and we got a free taster of the lemon meringue too! Simply the best food we’ve had in Ireland so far!

30/06/2024: Exceptional food and brilliant service. Always rammed full so book in advance or grab a spot at the bar. I'm surprised this place doesn't have a Bib Gourmand. If any of the Michelin gang are reading this! Best place to eat in Kerry, in my experience.

28/06/2024: Das Essen, der Service, das Ambiente, für mich unvergleichbar und immer wieder eine Reise nach Kenmare wert. Der Service ist seit meinem Besuch vom letzten Jahr personell noch sehr ähnlich, was ich als sehr gutes Zeichen werte. Das Essen ausgesprochen gut und mit Liebe angerichtet. Immer wieder gerne. Herzlichen Dank für dieses tolle Ess-Erlebnis.

14/06/2024: Overall the experience at this restaurant was quite good; however, there are things that can be definitely improved. Firstly, the menu provided does not match the food you actually get in some instances. In my case, I ordered the salmon main which, on both the physical and online menu, it is indicated to come with asparagus, even though the one I got came with broccoli. Also, the online menu shows that there are side dishes that can be ordered, from which I would have picked the sautéed mushrooms, but when asked to the server for it, she was unsure about having any side dishes and eventually suggested and brought boiled vegetables. Finally, I ordered a raspberry tartlet as dessert which had a good taste but a completely wrong consistency, with the pastry being very soggy.

04/07/2024: Had Dinner at Davitt's. Chickenburger with fries. Awesome! Very good service and also a fine Pale Ale. Should give it a go when in Kenmare! 🔥

12/07/2024: A Crying Shame Lire Cafe was always my 1st stop whem on a day trip to Killarney, serving proper coffee with comfortable seating and good vibes staff. However, I just felt so ripped off after my last visit when charged €4.60 for a standard 2-shot oat milk flat white in a small cup. It was €0.80 for a few ounces of oat milk. Now mind you, I've already paid for cow's milk and the labour of steaming. This is an extra fee exploiting those having lactose intolerance and/or some sense of Climate Conscience Oatmik is not that dear even what I pay at retail prices. God knows, conventional field grown coffee (as opposed to organic shade coffee) is highly carbon intensive on this own and a massive source of tropical deforestation. Even that Seattle based corporate bohemith with the green logo woke up and stopped charging for plant based milk! Not sure what else to say except it's a crying shame and my last visit there unless they change this policy.

29/06/2024: The fish and chips were good but Dungarvan's fish and chips were better. Moreover, the chili monkfish was good but for anyone who has eaten Costco Asian fish... I would say Costco is about the same. The service was great and the prices were reasonable.

28/06/2024: Get. The. Hake. Bites. OMG. Also - they will make your batter on the fish and chips gluten free and the GF batter is excellent. 10/10. There will be a wait, but it’s worth it :)

24/06/2024: It's a great place to stop with a spectacular panoramic view of the ocean. The staff is nice and kind. The food was delicious, the portions seemed large. I highly recommend this place.

16/06/2024: The best creamy fish chowder we’ve had in Ireland, and a beautiful view on the terrace as an added bonus: highly recommended!

06/05/2024: I've always enjoyed the oyster tavern but have to say having the Chowder this time round should have been far more fish in it. Only some small prawns, no chunks as I've had previous had. Everything else was nice but I would not get the Chowder again, which is usually what I come in for so is a shame.

03/07/2024: We had a lovely waiter who cheered us up a lot! Even though it was very busy we didn’t have to wait long for the food and it even came nicely plates. Such a nice experience and memorable evening :)

15/07/2024: Decent locally sourced hake and chips although a smaller portion given the money. The skin on chips were good but they need to serve more in my opinion (and lose the pointless fake frying baskets). Marrowfat peas excellent. The chocolate brownie and ice cream for pudding was to die for though!

28/06/2024: We came to the Bianconi Inn with high expectations for dinner because we have been there one year ago. We expected the same high quality service and the excellent food as last year. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with both the service and the vegetarian food. My wife had a vegan risotto, which unfortunately had no seasoning at all and tasted like crushed cardboard. There was a surprise dish with meat and fish on the menu and because I am also a vegetarian, I asked if the kitchen could also offer a vegetarian surprise dish. The kitchen said yes and I ordered this dish. I was very surprised when I was only given cold components on a plate instead of a cooked dish. These components tasted OK but were more of a cold platter than a surprise dish. That was completely incomprehensible because the menu also included grilled Halumi cheese, but unfortunately it wasn't on my plate. Of course we informed the service about our disappointment. Unfortunately, the only response was a promise to pass this information on to the kitchen. Not even the espresso after the meal was served on the house and so unfortunately only two dissatisfied guests remain who will avoid the Bianconi Inn in the future.

24/05/2024: I've been here a few times now, and each visit has left me thoroughly impressed. The food is consistently delicious.

08/07/2024: Varied menu. Food good . Staff good. Quick service. Nice desserts especially the ice cream for kids. Plenty of parking .

26/06/2024: I had a family meal at The Point this evening and can thoroughly recommend eating here. The food and the service are as near perfect as you can get. Get there early though to not be disappointed.

09/07/2024: Superb bar (the decoration is centered on the impressive offering of whiskey and other alcohols). Very good food (the soup of the day was very successful) and excellent fish & chips. Choice of whiskey where you can get lost but the service is there to help you find local gems which are not necessarily on the menu. In short, a place to remember among the good addresses of Killarney.
