The best restaurantsof irish in Kenmare

14/05/2026: Ate dinner in the restaurant about 6:15. Not too busy. Had Nachos that were very good. The fish and chips were delicious as well. Good kids menu.

11/05/2026: This was an Amazing visit to Davitts of Kenmare, from start to finish. We booked 4 x rooms for one night in April and it was perfect. My husband dealt with the owner David as it was a surprise for my 60th Birthday. He was so helpful and accommodating. The rooms were lush, cosy and spacious and exactly what we loved. He gave us early check-in so my adult kids could decorate our room for me with balloons & ribbons. The staff were so kind and so friendly. We ate in the bar that evening and again at breakfast the next morning and the food was superb...could not fault it. A lovely quaint bar/restaurant with everything we needed. The next morning we checked out and said our goodbyes and decided to take a wander around Kenmare but as we were about to head to our cars (about 90mins to 2 hours later) one of the staff spotted my daughter and her partner and gave her my house keys, wallet and an item of clothing that we had left in our room and had forgotten about 🙈. We would have been home before realising so again the service above and beyond was second to none. We could not recommend the Davitt enough and we cannot wait to go back. Please visit- you will not regret

04/05/2026: We arrived at 5:50. Ordered drinks. After asking several times when we might receive our meal they came back and said “oops”. Your order was never placed. 2 hours later, we received our food. My husband ordered the ribs and they were good. I ordered the Pork special and it was horrible. Our waitress never came back to see how we were doing. We had to ask someone else to clear our table and ask for our bill. We are here for 2 weeks and will never step foot in this joint again.

01/05/2026: A really nice pub; there was no live music when we were there, but they had Brewdog Punk on tap, along with a few other beers. The service was super fast, super friendly, and super attentive. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced.

02/06/2026: I'd give 2.5 stars if I could. We had dinner here while in Kenmare and while it wasn't horrible, I would've tried somewhere else in hindsight. The stew was watery (I am surprised to see some other reviews saying it is the best they've had in Ireland), only had a few pieces of meat. Bread was also an additional cost (bringing the stew up to almost 24 euros each) which wasn't mentioned when the server said "bread with it, right?" and we said sure (we heard it phrased this way to another table, too). However, when saw it on the bill later and mentioned that I am dairy intolerant so I didn't eat much of my soda bread, the server took it off the bill, which was nice. The interior atmosphere isn't as nice as the exterior, with American music playing and not much decor-wise. However, the chips were good and service was decent, and maybe we just chose wrong for our entree.

29/05/2026: We stopped into P.F. McCarthy’s to grab a pint and enjoy the local flavor. We absolutely loved Kenmare and all the locals were super welcoming. We met many locals in this bar and got loads of great information.
