The Lime Tree in Kenmare

We had an exquisite night here. Mike and his team are incredibly personable and Mike loves to come out of the kitchen and meet and greet his punters, he is a lovely man. The setting is fab, and the building has a fantastic story. It was a rent collectors during English rule and then during the great hunger they gave out tickets to sail to America, not free I may add…you had to relinquish your property to the English landlords. Enough about that… the food is excellent. The prawn cocktail is a throw back with modern flare. The catch of the day, Hake, was cooked perfectly, and the scallops were to die for. Love this place and highly recommend it.

Favorite dining experience in Ireland, the Shepard a pie was incredible, the soup was satiating and the lamb shank was perfectly cooked and for a region of the world notorious for poor seasoning, they crushed it.

One of the nicest meals we’ve ever had! The food was outstanding and I cannot compliment the staff highly enough. A lovely cosy atmosphere. We can’t wait to return!
