PF McCarthys in Kenmare

Called in on spec didn't want a full meal but that wasn't a problem. I had a goats cheese tart with beetroot and stuff. Better half had massive plate of prawn pil pil. Quality and good value.

great spot for dinner. we didnt get to listen to music but had dinner here which was delicious. stopped here after our ring of kerry drive so the pint and food hit the spot. traditional irish comfort food. staff was welcoming. i'd recommend eating here and would stop in when i'm back in kenmare.

We felt really comfortable. The staff is friendly, smiling, and always available. The food is served quickly and is very tasty, and the beer is excellent too. The music inside the place isn't distracting and allows for a peaceful conversation. The prices are average for the place and consistent with the selection. Recommended!

Perfect welcome, even in French 😊 We recommend the fish soup, the evening concert... In short, an excellent place! I highly recommend it

I'd give 2.5 stars if I could. We had dinner here while in Kenmare and while it wasn't horrible, I would've tried somewhere else in hindsight. The stew was watery (I am surprised to see some other reviews saying it is the best they've had in Ireland), only had a few pieces of meat. Bread was also an additional cost (bringing the stew up to almost 24 euros each) which wasn't mentioned when the server said "bread with it, right?" and we said sure (we heard it phrased this way to another table, too). However, when saw it on the bill later and mentioned that I am dairy intolerant so I didn't eat much of my soda bread, the server took it off the bill, which was nice. The interior atmosphere isn't as nice as the exterior, with American music playing and not much decor-wise. However, the chips were good and service was decent, and maybe we just chose wrong for our entree.

We stopped into P.F. McCarthy’s to grab a pint and enjoy the local flavor. We absolutely loved Kenmare and all the locals were super welcoming. We met many locals in this bar and got loads of great information.
