24/05/2026: The atmosphere is very authentic, and the service is lovely. However, I'd only give the food 3 out of 5 stars because I didn't find the portion size justified by the price. Otherwise, it's a highly recommended stop on the way to the Black Valley.

22/05/2026: My husband and I biked through the Gap of Dunloe before stopping here for lunch last week. We happened to arrive right around the same time as many students on an end of school year trip. The staff handled the huge influx of customers efficiently. It was impressive. The soup I had was one of the best soups I've ever eaten. Thanks to everyone at Kate Kearney's Cottage!

07/05/2026: Great place to eat in town centre. Was very busy, so lucky to get a table for four. I had the fish spice box, which was lovely, the others had the battered fish and chips, which went down extremely well too. Totally recommend this restaurant

08/04/2026: Hotel located in a beautiful area. The staff is very welcoming and pleasant, especially the lady who served us breakfast, which was excellent and varied. Large parking lot not far from the hotel. We ate at the restaurant one evening, and it was excellent! It's a shame that such a beautiful hotel has a view of the ventilation vents coming out of the kitchen roof...

11/04/2026: Parking is just across the road, the staff are absolutely lovely, and THE BEST pancakes I've ever had! Cute rooms with great heat. We will definitely be returning with more of our family!

21/05/2026: The hotel is a wonderful place, historic. The food they offer is really good. So far the good things. I asked for a room with sea view and got the information that it will have view. Well. See a picture from my window. I didn't mean that! The rooms are expectable old. Nothing to complain here. But there is no sound isolation. We were able to here everything from the next room. TV, water tap, shower, toilet. Regarding the service. There were three women in service two younger ones, who walk through the restaurant looking to the ground, barely seeing guests contact wishes for drinks or coffee in the morning. The 3rd women, a stronger one, was amazing. She definitely loves her job. It was fun talking with her and getting her recommendations for the order was Gold. Sorry for this review.

14/05/2026: We stayed two nights as a family. The hotel is superb, retaining its original charm, with very large, comfortable, and clean rooms. The restaurant is the only one open and offers good quality food. The staff is friendly. We highly recommend it.

30/12/2025: Was ignored by staff when we went into their restaurant. Seated ourselves after being ignored after waiting for a few minutes for a table. Think everyone was local and got the impression we weren’t welcome by staff. Took a few minutes for someone to acknowledge us and bring a menu despite 3 staff members being there with a half empty restaurant. Once we finished food (19 euro for a burger with a soggy bun that was straight out of the packet and cold lettuce, raw onion and slice of tomato) we went to the bar to pay the bill. There was a bartender (dark curly hair with facial hair- he was the primary staff member that seemed to completely ignore us when we were just trying to give you some business) who was folding cutlery into napkins who we waited for him to acknowledge us but he didn’t so after an awkward minute of standing there we asked him could we pay the bill he said “I’ll be with you in a second”. He went to give the cutlery to a table and then walked off- his colleague came through by chance and took payment. Very strange atmosphere due to staff. Ate and left promptly.

26/11/2025: Lovely little room we booked for a few nights in the heart of Dingle. Right above the restaurant but it was closed this time of year. Easy access to all you need, good room, comfy bed. If we come back in season we'd definitely try the restaurant.

18/05/2026: Seeing the restaurant's rave reviews, and having had an absolutely awful day, I was thrilled when a table became available. I'd barely sat down for a few minutes, while still on a voice call to my parents to recount my day, when the waiter rushed me to order because, and I quote, "there are people waiting outside." The implication was that I needed to hurry up and choose (and frankly, as if I cared that people were waiting outside?). I came here to relax, but this is off to a bad start… The food and beer arrived quickly, and thankfully, they were pretty good. But I'd barely finished my last fry when my plate was whisked away. And the bill was brought right after. Like, way too fast, almost like I was being rushed out the door. I still had to ask the waiter if I could finish my beer… I'm going to conclude that it's perhaps (I hope) a misunderstanding and a cultural difference (whereas in France, time in a restaurant is sacred because we're there to savor and enjoy ourselves) and not a purely profit-driven approach to rushing service, which would be offensive to a customer.

29/04/2026: Very decent food though a bit pricey. Especially liked the fish chowder and lamb shank. Fish and chips was OK. Service is good.

03/09/2025: Nice place to have different types of food. We had chicken wings as starter that were marinated with hoisin sauce (Asian style) and we had the mussels in Asian style - also really delicious!

09/04/2026: Very odd place. Not any real theme to the cuisine or the restaurant. Had a few Irish chicken dishes, a couple Thai selections and a few Italian selections. Service was friendly but just so so. We entered at what should have been a busy dinner time and the place was dead. After ordering, I can understand why. Long wait to get food and there was literally no one else in the building when we ordered. Wife ordered 2 appetizers, fried brie and seafood chowder. Both were good but nothing special. I had the roasted Monk fish wrapped in Ham w/muscles and prawn. Should have been called shrimp instead, they were very small as were the muscles. It was OK but overcooked. Rubbery and chewy. The decor was very chaotic as well. Just random oddities like a picture of Lyndon B Johnson with some unrecognizable people, an Indian Lamp, table cloths with French flur-de-lis. Just nothing fit together. I would not recommend this establishment. Enter at your own risk. You've been warned.

09/04/2026: I am not really sure about traditional irish but I don't think this is it. I had the seafood chowder and he had the monk fish. There was no real theme to the menu, some irish steaks, Thai food.... the inside is decorated worldly with no real irish theme. The tablecloths have Fleur De lis so I was a little stumped.

22/05/2026: Amazing little restaurant in Dingle town center. The freshest fish and chips I had on my entire visit! The garlic bread appetizer was amazing as well!

19/05/2026: We were at Marina Inn tonight to celebrate our friend’s birthday. We had a great time. Thomas was so welcoming and pulled everything together. The band played Happy Birthday and staff provided candles etc for the cake. The food satisfied everyone. Thanks for the great memories!!
