11/09/2025: This place was recommended by a local. The place is clean and well presented. Ample space inside and outdoor area also. Great specials and good selection of food and drinks. Very reasonable prices especially when compared to some of the b other options in this heavily visited tourist stop. The crowded was the pick.

23/08/2025: Had lunch/dinner here. Had the battered fish of the day which was very nice, others had lamb burger, a bit dry, should prob be served medium rather that well done, the staff were very accommodating for one of our party that wanted their chick gougons in hot sauce. The wing starter was yum but needed celery for the rest of the blue cheese sauce. Would I go back..yes defo. Just some miner issues but over all, a love experience. Plus the views of Tralee bay are amazing. On this visit I'd rate it 8.3/10.

10/08/2025: The food was delicious; we had a salad with goat cheese, a burger, fries, and dessert. The service was very friendly, and we quickly got a table in the very busy pub.

22/07/2025: Came here for dinner with a small group and got the cod, sea bass and fish cakes. Wowwwww the food was delicious! All the fish was so light and we watched them be hand battered. Fantastic for a quick dine in or takeaway

31/08/2025: This hotel and restaurant are top notch in every way. The staff made this hotel my all time favorite! The 2 brothers Jersey and Eggie made us feel very comfortable and welcome! They were very hospitable and kind and thoughtful! The rooms were immaculate and charming! The food was scrumptious! I highly recommend staying at this amazing hotel! It is truly one of Ireland’s Best hotels!

25/08/2025: I ate at this restaurant with my family of 20 people and everything was exceptional. Our servers Eyli, Armne and Olho were at the top of their game- friendly, warm, and they provided impeccable service. The food was melt in your mouth delicious. This was our best meal and experience in Ireland. 10 out of 10!

10/09/2025: Very quaint. Food was wonderful. We had the bruschetta, minute steak, Irish coffee, and a glass of wine. Dinners were served with a side of veggies. The minute steak was superb. The peppercorn sauce was delicious as well. Our waitress was very helpful and ordered us a cab when it was time to leave.

09/09/2025: It was recommended to us by our hotel. We had a wonderful dinner with very tender and really good meat, the price was normal.

11/08/2025: We went there twice. The first time was on a Friday evening and the second time on a Sunday. The food was delicious both times, although the cheesecake wasn't the best choice. The service was fantastic on Friday. However, on Sunday it was apparently very busy, which was clearly noticeable to the staff.

10/08/2025: 20 years after my first visit: Food‘s still fantastic. The sticky toffee cake is a must. Great place!

07/09/2025: Very disappointed. We booked 3 weeks in advance because this was a special occassion for when my son was getting out of hospital. Our constant feeling was that the staff were focused on getting customers out as quickly as possible so that they could close up! It doesnt matter how good the food is when the staff are spraying the table next to you with disinfectant and mopping the floor around you when you have just received your food! I understand that this was the end of the tourist season but we felt thay we were more of an incovenience than welcomed customers. My wife also has severe allergies which I shared in my original booking and again when we ordered at the restaurant but she did not enjoy the meal as staff failed to reassure us at all that they took this seriously. Great location, super concept, good food but let down by disinterested staff. I dont want to eat somewhere that I feel that I am not wanted.

05/08/2025: A treasure trove of momentos of the expeditions of Tom Crean and a great place to stop for a rest, on your own travels. I've enjoyed spending time at the South Pole Inn on a couple of occasions and I'll be back there again before too long. Highly recommended.

18/08/2025: Had a meal here on 16/8/25 and it was delicious....the only downside is the back breaking wooden seats against the wall inside....it's simply impossible to sit comfortable and takes away the enjoyment of the meal...something definitely needs to be done about that....

19/08/2025: Everything was amazing. The views are unreal. The food is phenomenal. I had the carrot and parsnip soup with homemade brown bread and then the fish on a bed of lentils for main. An-bhlasta ar fad!

01/09/2025: Wonderful server, cute place, reasonably priced meals. My husband enjoyed his toasted ham/cheese with salad and chips. My sandwich was chicken breast with cheese and sweet chili mayo. Where we're from it's basically a chicken salad sandwich. Was tasty. Rosemary carrot soup was good, but not what I was expecting, basically a broth. Still a great find, and we parked right in front for free!

11/08/2025: Hot showers, cozy accommodation, and the full Irish was amazing. Our hostess even sent us out on our hike with sandwiches she refused to charge us for. Our stay was 10 out of 10.
