30/10/2025: If I had only tried them earlier in my trip. So wonderful fish was tender inside light crispy coating, no oil laying on the outside. Perfect fries. Enjoyed openess of space, tables to sit at or wait for take away. Take away was quick and pleasant customer service. If in this area again will be visiting often.

30/10/2025: Always fresh red fish and a large selection of frozen food, I had chowder, I've had tastier ones, but this one was also good, it's a matter of taste, the place is good

24/11/2025: Kate Kearney’s Restaurant and Pub has a great parking area, and the staff are absolutely lovely—so attentive and always smiling. The food was gorgeous, and we even tried dessert, which was just as delicious. I would highly recommend this place to everyone. We will definitely pop in again!

30/10/2025: Great pub, we just had drinks on our way to Valentia island. We stop as my mum was a bit car sick, they were very friendly and helpful. The two ladies working gave us amazing recommendations of the local area

13/12/2025: I am sorry to say that my friend and I were very disappointed with Solas as we had heard great things about it. We ordered about 7 dishes, 2 spuds and the sourdough (which was supermarket quality bread) and a bottle of wine, which was delicious to be fair. The croquettes were rock hard and when I finally managed to cut one open the filling was too runny. The oysters had too much roe on them, which was unnecessary and took away from the flavour of them. The scallop ceviche portion was tiny and worked out €9 a portion. They were very flavourless. The cured sardine was inedible so we left that one behind. The bill came to a whopping €258. Perhaps the prices were increased for Other Voices and perhaps we arrived at a bad time because it was very busy. We were reminded by the waitress on multiple occasions that we needed to leave by a certain time and that made us feel unwelcome and rushed. She seemed to be stressed. All over it was all style and no substance and I am happy to pay that amount of money when the food is excellent and this was not the case.

03/12/2025: Super experience in Solas over the weekend, having wanted to try for so long. Had a mix of small and medium plates with the standouts being the wagyu beef taco, crab tartlets and the oysters although all dishes were exceptional. Service was excellent and right on the mark in terms of pace, friendliness and helpfulness. A well oiled machine in the heart of Dingle.

05/10/2025: Great traditional pub in lovely surroundings. The history of Tom Crean was brilliant to see and so well laid out throughout the bar. I got lost just reading all about his exploits all over again. The drink was great too!

03/12/2025: WONDERFUL food and service; we are a family of four visiting from the US and we stumbled into Cassidy’s while looking for a spot to eat dinner. Geraldine took such great care of us and we felt very welcome. Food was fantastic - especially the carbonara (which was Italian approved). The Christmas decorations are well done too, they added to the warm atmosphere and created a magical evening!

30/11/2025: The place has lowered its standards a lot🤮🤮🤮 Food tastes worse than before, definitely saving on ingredients, for example rice is no longer cooked with saffron, oilcloth instead table cloths, staff mopping the floor during opening hours - we wondered if they’d ask us to lift our legs up. The didn’t. The worst part, just really outrageous was finding a two inch shard of plastic in the veggies.

08/10/2025: Damn, this restaurant used to be so good, not anymore. Four of us dined there last night, worst meal of our 2 weeks in Ireland. They used to have a warm, fun Irish vibe with amazing well thought out food. Now the staff do not have any Irish charm and are curt and bothered. The food is bland and uninspired, the vibe is sad. We will never go back.

04/12/2025: The seafood chowder is great. Dinner in a bowel full of fish not filled with potatoes and a small bit of fish. Wash it down with a few Guinness and dinner is done.

26/11/2025: Lovely place to stop while on the Ring of Kerry. The potato cake was delicious, ribs were tasty, and portions large overall with a few unique beers to try. Highly worth the stop in.

07/10/2025: Thomas is fantastic and we enjoyed swapping stories and hanging out for a pint. Definitely stop here. About as authentic of an Irish pub experience that you can get.

15/12/2025: We were genuinely blown away with the quality and presentation of the food. My wife had goat’s cheese for starters and fillet steak served on a volcanic rock platter for main course. I had a delicious creamy base seafood chowder for starters and hake with vegetables for main course. The food ingredients and quality were second to none. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

The food here is not just delicious - it is prepared with soul and love for detail. Each dish has its own unique taste, which pleasantly surprises, and the portions are quite generous. The service is at a high level - the staff is always friendly, attentive and ready to help with the choice of dishes or drinks. The atmosphere of the restaurant creates a feeling of home comfort, but at the same time this place has a special style and character. It is ideal for both a quiet lunch with family and for meetings with friends. The good price-quality ratio makes this restaurant even more attractive. I believe that The Strawberry Field is one of the best places in the area where you can get real pleasure from food, service and atmosphere. I definitely recommend visiting!
