Kate Kearney's Cottage

14/03/2026: Delicious food and great entertainment. 2 Irish dancers joined in throughout the evening and even talk us a simplified dance. Sit toward the center of the room for the best views of their footwork.
07/03/2026: We came because of the good reviews, but the experience was quite disappointing. I haven't eaten this badly in a long time. The prices are quite high for the quality of the food. The toilets were also in very poor condition, at least the men's one. I won’t be coming back and I wouldn’t recommend it.

The Bianconi

Killorglin
31/03/2026: We didn't stay at the Bianconi, we had dinner there and omg it was amazing. Large portions, great service. The food was superb. I left feeling stuffed. It's rare to get great quality, great service and good portion sizes in the same place. Would 100% recommend it. Would also recommend booking in advance as our first attempt at the weekend they were fully booked.
10/03/2026: Rooms I've given 5 stars ,we didn't stay here we only ate here. As our local doesn't do food on Mondays this time of year we travelled to killorglyn for a birthday meal. We ordered a burger meal and a steak meal. The burger one was ok. The steak was over done I'd asked to it to be pink in the middle it wasn't.so it was a tad dry but relatively tender, you get a choice of one extra, I chose creamy mash , it wasnt creamy at all. The steak was garnished with tomatos on the vine and mushrooms, all rather unimaginative. The sauce I chose was brandy and ( can't remember) it was a very small amount but tasty. The staff are quite knowledgeable about the food ,but I saw not one smile and personality seems also to be lacking. We had a Guinness and pot of tea, our bill was €77 I feel rather steep . Although the place itself is appealing ,the welcome isn't . I imo think the staff need to be retrained in the art of welcoming and cheerful.

Murphy's

Killarney
11/04/2026: We took a group of 12 seniors down there yesterday it didn't make a difference if you had allergies was diabetic etc they had no intentions of helping all l wanted was a toasted chicken sandwich and chips l was told no (l couldn't eat what they had on the menu) the manager's were very rude and the reason they gave was they would have to slice a portion of chicken to make the sandwich l had no problem paying for the portion then they would not take bills individually they put it all together so we had to sit down and total up what each person owed it was a joke never in life will we go back there not just this group but our families also l have family living in Killarney and they used to go there all the time never again the 2 managers are horrible MEN??
07/04/2026: Pub atmosphere. Generous portions.

20/10/2025: What an incredible experience! The Irish Coffee was unreal good! The story of Tom Crean was the highlight of my day! Gary, another door will open. Never doubt the difference you made. Smile because it happened! 💚 Sending all the prayers, love, and good vibes.
05/10/2025: Great traditional pub in lovely surroundings. The history of Tom Crean was brilliant to see and so well laid out throughout the bar. I got lost just reading all about his exploits all over again. The drink was great too!

Cassidy's Restaurant

Tralee
09/04/2026: I am not really sure about traditional irish but I don't think this is it. I had the seafood chowder and he had the monk fish. There was no real theme to the menu, some irish steaks, Thai food.... the inside is decorated worldly with no real irish theme. The tablecloths have Fleur De lis so I was a little stumped.
09/04/2026: Very odd place. Not any real theme to the cuisine or the restaurant. Had a few Irish chicken dishes, a couple Thai selections and a few Italian selections. Service was friendly but just so so. We entered at what should have been a busy dinner time and the place was dead. After ordering, I can understand why. Long wait to get food and there was literally no one else in the building when we ordered. Wife ordered 2 appetizers, fried brie and seafood chowder. Both were good but nothing special. I had the roasted Monk fish wrapped in Ham w/muscles and prawn. Should have been called shrimp instead, they were very small as were the muscles. It was OK but overcooked. Rubbery and chewy. The decor was very chaotic as well. Just random oddities like a picture of Lyndon B Johnson with some unrecognizable people, an Indian Lamp, table cloths with French flur-de-lis. Just nothing fit together. I would not recommend this establishment. Enter at your own risk. You've been warned.
