Murphy's in Killarney

Went there on a recommendation of our tour guide and a it was perfect. 1st time having Irish stew and now the bar is set very high. We also had wings and it's not Texas spicy but the breading was excellent. Fast and very friendly.

Huge bar with delicious food and good service. We enjoyed the lamb Irish stew and the burger, both were great. We also enjoyed one of their whiskey tastings. Our waitress was great.

Very happy with my stay here and the dinner that I ate. If I’m ever back in Killarney I’ll be sure to stay here again for the central location, their attentiveness to their guests, and the cosy atmosphere in the restaurant.

Generous portions, dishes are decidedly good compared to the average. Prices are reasonable. The Caesar salad is different from what we're used to in Italy (spicy chicken), but really good. The fries and marinated pork tenderloin are also excellent. Small tables are ideal for couples, but the atmosphere is a bit noisy.

We went to Murphy's, and the waiter immediately tried to put reserved signs on the empty tables right in front of us. Around 60% of the tables in the bar were empty, probably more. There weren't many people in the bar. However, they showed us to the hotel and indicated an empty table there, saying that the only free tables were in the hotel. We politely declined and went to a pub right next door. They had great food, great service, and a fantastic atmosphere. Thanks, Murphy's, for not offering us a table in the bar. We would have missed out on a great evening.

Authentic. Good food and prompt service. They listened well amd teamed up for even better service. Nice to receive this kind of attention. Wings were great!

A must do. The bartender was so much fun and made the best irish coffee ever. We enjoyed it so much, we went back the next evening.

Excellent seafood chowder loaded with fresh catch, as was the beef casserole cooked in Guinness. Classic Irish bar with great ambience.
