16/07/2024: Very good Italian food ! We had pasta with grilled salmon, cream and cheese, excellent ! Home made tiramisu was amazing.

09/07/2024: I’ve been around the world and can hands down say that this is one of my top 5 hotels, and in the running for number 1. The service is impeccable. The breakfast service is probably the best I’ve ever had for sit down, group service. It’s unbelievable. And the rooms we had were phenomenal. Classic rooms with modern bathrooms. I can’t say enough about this hotel.

28/06/2024: Don’t sleep on Bricin. The fact that it’s slightly out of the way of the main drag is probably what will get you a table for six in the middle of the dinner rush without a reservation. Service was exceptional, staff is kind and accommodating. Kid friendly! Everyone enjoyed their meals - I got the filet (omg Irish beef is so good), two folks got the curry boxty, scallops and spring rolls (YUM) for apps, someone else got the sirloin, and someone got pan seared hake. Everyone was extremely happy. Wine was cold and crisp. 10/10 - definitely go to Bricin!

28/06/2024: Wow!!! This restaurant is phenomenal!!! The food is simply delicious. Their boxty is a MUST TRY. The early bird menu is from 6-6:45 and you can get a 2 course meal for 29 euro and a 3 course meal for 32 euro. It’s an amazing deal for such delicious food. Our server was great and the food came quickly but was so fresh! Their ice cream at the end with butterscotch was beyond incredible. The owner came up to us and was so friendly and ended up taking our photo and talking about how the restaurant came to be. Go here if you’re in Killarney- you won’t regret it! 14/06/2024: Overall the experience at this restaurant was quite good; however, there are things that can be definitely improved. Firstly, the menu provided does not match the food you actually get in some instances. In my case, I ordered the salmon main which, on both the physical and online menu, it is indicated to come with asparagus, even though the one I got came with broccoli. Also, the online menu shows that there are side dishes that can be ordered, from which I would have picked the sautéed mushrooms, but when asked to the server for it, she was unsure about having any side dishes and eventually suggested and brought boiled vegetables. Finally, I ordered a raspberry tartlet as dessert which had a good taste but a completely wrong consistency, with the pastry being very soggy.

12/07/2024: A Crying Shame Lire Cafe was always my 1st stop whem on a day trip to Killarney, serving proper coffee with comfortable seating and good vibes staff. However, I just felt so ripped off after my last visit when charged €4.60 for a standard 2-shot oat milk flat white in a small cup. It was €0.80 for a few ounces of oat milk. Now mind you, I've already paid for cow's milk and the labour of steaming. This is an extra fee exploiting those having lactose intolerance and/or some sense of Climate Conscience Oatmik is not that dear even what I pay at retail prices. God knows, conventional field grown coffee (as opposed to organic shade coffee) is highly carbon intensive on this own and a massive source of tropical deforestation. Even that Seattle based corporate bohemith with the green logo woke up and stopped charging for plant based milk! Not sure what else to say except it's a crying shame and my last visit there unless they change this policy.

12/07/2024: This place does it right! Cheery welcome, great vibe, attractively designed seating areas - many in cosy boxes - you feel right at home from the start. Then there’s the food! Sirloin steak succulent and imaginatively presented - delicious! Fish (excellent) and chips tasty. Lemon meringue a work of art. Best of all, the smiley, attentive, bright and savvy staff - big shout out to Aoibheen, who was outstanding! We had a lovely evening. Thanks, team! 🤙🏼💯🏆

11/07/2024: Food superb and the service matched it. We were left alone just enough to thoroughly enjoy our evening. Possibly overstayed our welcome....but our waitress was lovely. (Actually everyone was lovely.) Steaks very well cooked. Ribs that fell off the bone. Same with the lamb.

30/06/2024: Awesome spot, tucked away in a side alley. Great breakfast (brunch). Best Flat White in Killarney and a super friendly service. We loved it and can highly recommend this place. 🫶

20/07/2024: We were looking for a place to have breakfast and we came here because of the good reviews it had, it was a great success. What kindness in the attention, the boy who attended us was very attentive. We had some sandwiches that were delicious, very tasty with the toasted bread. The sweets we tried were also very delicious. A place where the food is great and where the service is wonderful.

17/06/2024: We had the worst two meals in two weeks of Ireland here. The Shepherd's Pie was 70% mashed potatoes and the meat was bland. The Irish mushroom risotto consisted of six deep-fried rice balls (they explained to us that it's risotto Arancini but who in the world knows what that is, there was no description on the menu) in which no mushrooms could be detected. The accompanying potato wedges were deepfried as well, didn't come with any mayo or ketchup, and were no good match to the deepfried rice balls. What a disappointment! We were offered a different dish but by that time (half an hour into our meal) we had already eaten part of our meals and were done. And the service was mediocre at best. Each and every small pub on the Kerry Way had much better food to offer. We won't go back to Hannigan's.

09/07/2024: Superb bar (the decoration is centered on the impressive offering of whiskey and other alcohols). Very good food (the soup of the day was very successful) and excellent fish & chips. Choice of whiskey where you can get lost but the service is there to help you find local gems which are not necessarily on the menu. In short, a place to remember among the good addresses of Killarney.
