Piccolo

Killarney
17/08/2024: Best god damn gluten free pizza in Ireland. Id put a photo up but I ate it too quickly
17/08/2024: We decided to satisfy our pizza craving while in Killarney, and Piccolo topped the list—and for good reason. This charming, intimate spot has only a few tables and a long bar-style seating area. As we dined, we noticed a steady stream of locals picking up their pizzas to go—a clear testament to Piccolo’s popularity. From the first bite of their salad, we knew we were in for something special. It’s rare to find a place that pairs exceptional pizza with an equally memorable salad, but Piccolo delivered. And the pizza? Absolutely phenomenal. The crust was a masterpiece—light, crisp, and bursting with flavor. Piccolo surpassed all our expectations, and we couldn’t recommend it more. If you’re in Killarney, do yourself a favor and make a stop here. 100% worth it!

Little Italy

Killarney
10/09/2024: The carbonara and pizza were good and the portion was large. The atmosphere is a bit dull and cheap (plastic flowers etc). The waitresses were always present, but could be a bit friendlier and more approachable.
08/09/2024: Would like to share the owners response to my review which was accusatory. Any good restaurant is willing to constructive criticism. In response, I would like to add I was seated by a staff menu and waited quite some time before waving down a waiter for a menu. I didn't seat myself. I waited over 25 minutes for the main and then when I enquired when using the toilet, the waiter was surprised I hadn't received my main and said that the kitchen had forgot. The main then came out within a couple of minutes, proving that the mains don't usually take 25 minutes. The pasta was undercooked and I am aware what 'al dente' is, this pasta was still hard and obviously rushed, never mind the sauce very unserseasoned. I have dined here before and it was fine but the standards have most definitely slipped. The owners response was very disappointing. There were also very strict rules for staff on display behind the till which are obviously not upheld.
