26/10/2024: This is a nice and neat hotel. Good location in Killarney, its own car park so you can easily park your car! The staff is very friendly and the rooms are spacious and attractive.
08/10/2024: Room was okay,the heating didnt work but an oil heater there ,the bathroom then was cold and no shower mat,but staff were very polite and very central

Young fella serving behind the bar, kept blanking my wife and served other women we were at the bar for 15 minutes and women that came up after us were served first I called him and he just gave me a thumbs up and continued serving other women, absolutely horrendous service by this guy and caused us to leave guy should not be in this industry!!

24/10/2024: Wished in late when the bars stopped serving food. The owner was very accommodating insisting on making a sandwich, burrito, pie. We settled on the burrito. He said his mother was a Croatian baker and her influence through his pastries also did not disappoint.
Would return fair prices excellent serving sizes and the taste was perfect. Thank you.
22/10/2024: Super tasty bakery. Both sweets and savoury ones. I recommend the spinach and cheese pie. The guy at the counter is really nice to talk to.

04/11/2024: What makes a great hotel? Arbutus has it all!! The location cannot be beat- right in the heart of Killarney near all the shopping, pubs and restaurants. The room was clean (squeaky clean), with excellent shower pressure, wash clothes (not always customary in Ireland) and the most comfy bed and pillows- was the best sleeps of our trip! The staff was oh so friendly and by happenstance we met the 3rd generation owners who were happy to chat about the details of their establishment with us (I love history!). The breakfast each morning was fabulous and the attached bar (Buckley's) was perfect for a late night drink and some Irish music! I would go back to the Arbutus in a heart beat!!

07/10/2024: Service was very kind. The restaurant itself was ok (3.5 stars for ambient). Unfortunately, the food was rather mediocre (2.5 stars). Not bad overall, but some flaws like watery vegetables and lack of salt and spices - and everything came so fast that it was probably not fresh. So in the end still ok, 3 stars especially because of the friendly service, but with much room for culinary improvement.

Inside the atmosphere is rather sterile and our food seemed to be convenience Food rather than fresh made, which does not have to be bad, but neither what we expected nor what we were looking for. The staff was friendly but not exactly knowledgeable. Bottom line it did not work for us that day.

30/10/2024: This small restaurant didn't appear busy on entry. It has good service and delicious food. The seafood is fresh and packed with flavour. A great change from all of the pubs, Quinlan’s is a definite must try in Killarney.
28/10/2024: Top quality and a waiter who gives explanations in French for the children. Very well received.

15/10/2024: Stopped by this pub for an Irish coffee and a quick bite, and I wasn’t disappointed. I tried their toastie with four kinds of cheese and onion jam—such a delicious twist of flavors. The Irish coffee was spot on too. A perfect combo for a cozy break.
05/10/2024: This is one of the best lamb shanks I have ever had, we had it last year and had to come back this year. And they did not disappoint at all. The staff was great and the atmosphere was just the right place to take that someone special.

27/10/2024: Went here on Saturday for Lunch, quick and efficient here, no waiting. We both ordered soup and turkey+ham. Soup was nice but a little on the watery side, turkey and ham was lovely, and very well presented, i will be back too try more of the menu, staff were on the ball too

13/10/2024: Visited Sunday afternoon, Seamus was very helpful the place had group of 20 people didn't effect the usuall operation
Cosy and the place to be on a Sunday afternoon , food is mouthwatering dishes
Kudos to the kitchen staff and service !
This is a defo return as I don't live far away from this secret gem

05/11/2024: Cozy sports pub (14 screens!), fun and live music every evening, beautiful modern rooms (don't count on a nice view) and excellent breakfast. The location is fantastic.
03/11/2024: This was the Denny's of Ireland. Subpar food, mediocre service, and zero ambience. We were lulled in by the promise of live music but it was just a young man singing John Denver and Garth Brooks songs.
