The Porter House in Killarney

The best place that I ate in Ireland (so far). First of all, you may want to book a reservation, I didn't and had to wait 15 minutes in the bar I order to sit. In the bar the bartender was helpful and suggested to me a couple of local beers to match with my food (also I couldn't help noticing the adroit way he poured the drinks). The rest of the stuff wasn't as nice as he was. The place looks really awesome, similar to an American burger house style/booth full with interesting frames and decoratives, I could keep my eyes from the walls. The food came early and it was really really good. (there is a whole vegan section on the menu with a couple of options from starters to burgers and main courses). I ordered the porterhouse plant based burger with black beans and the soup of the day (which was cauliflower soup) both were super tasty and the portions were more than satisfactioning (although the country potatoes sides to the burger was extra spicy, not the best to me). Prices were fine and I really liked the experience. I strongly recommend this place.

70th Birthday Celebration!!! Brilliant atmosphere and staff were great - They all came over to sing happy birthday to my dad.. 🥰🥰🥰. Food was unreal - would have liked a salad with my steak sandwich but everything on the plate was delicious. Great for kids too. We got colouring pages and crayons. The individual booths were very cute . Overall very impressed for an occasion dinner.

Menu was quite limited and a bit expensive but food was good.

We had a booking here of a Saturday night and although it was busy it was like we were alone in our own little booth. We had one drink at the bar and were brought to our seat. The drinks were fantastic and the raspberry bramble was exceptional. We both had vol-au-vents for starters which came out in no time at all and were delicious. We had a steak sandwhich and a rib-eye for mains both were fabulous. They were perfectly cooked and presented beautifully and the portions were just perfect. Overall a brilliant experience from the drinks, food, atmosphere and the excellent service. Our waiter was amazing. Thanks all and will be back again

Absolutely excellent, was here on business Thursday 25th Jan and I think the lady who served us was called "trish" anyway she was Absolutely amazing, as somebody who spends most of my working week in hospitality venues I know when staff are far far above ordinary. Nothing was a problem, Im quite fussy, and nothing fazed her. She made me feel totally at ease. The food was fantastic, especially the peri peri chicken burger, highly recommended. The place is quite unique in its layout. Can't wait to return. I hope I got her name correct, but genuinely, this lady is a rare find.

Faultless! Amazing, from the food options (great vegan choices), service impeccable, food size and flavour on point, well priced for the town, cool interior, attention to detail on everything, and all the other things I seem to have forgotten! Compliments to the chef and thanks to our lovely waiter on the eve of 23/1/24
