The best restaurants in Killarney

18/05/2025: Excellent family run hotel right in the centre of town. Rooms can be noisy when there are events in town but the service is excellent, breakfast is fantastic. There is an elevator and attached bar with a tempting menu. Food quality is good. Local pay car parks are available. I found no difficulty parking even during busy periods

09/04/2025: Excellent hotel,we stayed over the weekend and will definitely be back. Room was lovely and clean ,breakfast was lovely with great choices. Staff very helpful and friendly. Location is excellent.

20/05/2025: It's an absolutely brilliant place, I've been here few times in the past months. Food is exceptional, it is truly delicious! The interior design and ambient is lovely. The best thing is the service which is not only restaurant quality, it's much better! You really feel to be looked after! I couldn't recommend this gorgeous place more!

04/05/2025: Dropped in without a booking in the early evening, mid week. Firstly I'd say the atmosphere scoring is because I was sat in between two tables of extremely loud tourists. There were several empty tables, but I understand that these could have been reserved for bookings shortly after my visit. Ordered the Squid (starter), gambas (starer), chips and a glass of Alberinio. The squid was tasty and cooked well. The salad that came with it was bland and sad. The gambas were tiny, maybe five prawns. They were overcooked, came sitting in far too much oil and the bread with it was stale. The chips were cooked well, but were lacking in salt. The alberinio was nice and served at the correct temp. Service was friendly, but a bit disjointed. Had to wait a while to order the bill and then pay the bill, please bring a card machine with the bill. Tbf there were two or three tables of tourists who appeared a bit demanding and needy, but maybe allow your bar person to collect payments when they're not busy, as was the case and they made eye contact with me numerous times while I was waiting to get the bill and then pay the bill. All in all, it was a bit meh for the price. I'd recommend to get their fried squid from their takeaway and save yourself a few quid, less hassle and far less loud and entitled and demanding tourists.

03/05/2025: Maybe one of the best Mexican meals ever - definitely best in Ireland! 🇮🇪 Spicy margarita was to die for Salad was fresh and delicious Burritos and enchiladas excellent Nachos YUM 😋

24/04/2025: It's a very good Mexican restaurant. Our waitress was very accommodating and friendly. The food we ordered was very good and had the right amount of spiciness. Simply a great restaurant. Highly recommended.

05/05/2025: Great food and very nicely finished restaurant, let down by the hospitality. We ordered food and just after it arrived asked to order another drink but told we weren’t allowed as the bar was closing.. imagine serving food and not allowing customers to have a drink! The staff then proceeded to start cleaning and turning lights off, including in the loo so I had to use my phone torch 😅 Great food but misleading service.

17/05/2025: We stayed here 3 nights on a tour and this room is the most disgusting dirty place I’ve ever stayed in! First of all the carpet is filthy with stains all over it, the bathroom floor after they came in and gave us clean towels had someone’s long black hair on the floor and when we first came in someone had took a piss in toilet with toilet paper in it and not flushed it so did they even clean it? Only one tiny bar of soap was there I had to go ask for more good thing we brought our own shampoo and conditioner they did not supply any and no Kleenex in room. We asked for a box of Kleenex the clerk said we don’t have any here use toilet paper! The sheets feel like 50 count they are itchy I hope the hell they are clean! The tv gets 5 channels . There is something outside that keeps running and banging every 3 minutes kept me awake most of the night! This hotel is so far away from everything only a gas station and laundry mat across road it takes 30 minutes in heat to walk to the town of Killarney. This morning we woke up to the piercing sound of fire alarm that kept going off for 20 minutes we ran downstairs there were people on this floor in wheelchairs that could not get down the stairs we found out when we got down there that someone using a hairdryer caused it to go off these hairdryer are so old I guess it almost caught on fire! 🔥 this hotel needs a serious remodel it’s old and dirty and the staff are not very friendly! The food is not very good either. I would not recommend this place! The view out our window is a dirty roof top with some rusty fan with bird poop everywhere and a wood and brick wall ugly yuk! If it wasn’t dark now I would add that photo. Oh and this place has no air conditioner this small fan is all we had .

26/04/2025: Super fresh fish and chips! Never had this kind of fish before, it’s smaller, flaky and fresh! They pair up great with the beer they offer from tap! Had two meals their through out our camping trip in Killarney.

08/05/2025: We had a delightful dinner yesterday and the dishes were delicious. We’ve had tasted nice Indian food in several parts of the world and yesterday’s meal ranked among the best we’ve had. The service was just as good.

19/05/2025: We loved this hotel. It's in a great location. There was plenty of on site, free parking, when we arrived. They offered us a very early check-in but we didn't need it as we departed for the Ring of Kerry in the mid-morning of our check-in date. The receptionist was wonderful giving us tips for our drive around the Ring and holding our bags and then having our bags in our rooms when we arrived later than evening. The bar was wonderful as was the breakfast. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. They have a laundry service which came in handy halfway through our 9 day trip in Ireland. I'd stay here again for sure.

07/03/2025: I had a delicious dinner here back in November! Beef and Guinness stew was mouthwatering, pour a perfect draft of Guinness, and their brownie was yummy! Great meal!

04/12/2024: Love staying in Scott's hotel we spent 2 nights there in November 20th and 21st. We had our dinner on the Wednesday night served up to us by the barman who was so friendly one lovely lad. The breakfast was lovely both morning and the service was excellent. Our room was very nice too. All in all a very nice stay. We will be back in 2025.
