04/11/2024: We stopped for drinks on a Sunday night first time in Ireland. Fans of LOR.Bartender was excellent! Gave us tips about places to visit in Ireland. Told us about the history of The Shire. You have to try The Hobbit Juice! Definitely a must stop for your visit in Killarney!!

30/10/2024: My family and I had breakfast at The Shire Killarney this morning, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. The food tasted like it had been reheated, which gave it a lackluster and unappealing flavor. Additionally, the tea cups had visible tea stains around the rims, which gave the impression that cleanliness isn't a priority here. The overall atmosphere felt rundown, as if the place could benefit from a thorough cleaning and a little attention to detail. Given the vibe, it seems to cater mainly to tourists who are just passing through, and it lacks the warmth and quality you'd hope for in a memorable dining experience. I would recommend giving this spot a pass if you’re looking for somewhere to enjoy a nice breakfast in Killarney.

26/10/2024: Don’t waste your time. We picked this bar after seeing the “4.5 star reviews” but not sure how it received such raving reviews after our experience. The bartender with a tarantula t-shirt was a completely “cheeky” and very unwelcoming; us being there seemed to have inconvenienced her. Every beer we asked for either was out or tap wasn’t working. After two beers weren’t available, we asked for an Irish coffee and she couldn’t be bothered to make it, even though the bar was dead. Her unfriendliness drove us away. Don’t waste your time, the place is littered with so many pubs with bartenders who don’t hate their life.

15/10/2024: Absolutely wonderful rooms and food. We had the seafood soup which was delicious and stuffed with seafood. The fish and chips were also delicious with more than an ample portion. We couldn’t even finish it. Service was wonderful and attentive.

17/09/2024: From the moment we arrived and met the lovely Lisa ... we knew our stay was gonna be good... the staff here are outstanding... I can't praise them enough... ... Lisa... Chloé... and Liam ... yer a credit to yer profession... lovely people... we will be back here again soon ... a beautiful hotel... we recommend 💯 xxx

03/11/2024: I love coming to Cafe Passion Killarney. The staff are efficient and very friendly. The cakes are absolutely fab I am delighted with the service. I would definitely recommend here to anyone. I love the matcha lattes also and the lovely shape on top

23/09/2024: Stopped for a coffee and panini - both were lovely. Would stop again for lunch.

19/08/2024: Very nice place, listening music (you can even dance) all the evening, as eating a seafood chowder and slightly spicy Buffalo style chicken wings. Generous plates, I recommend it.

25/07/2024: It took over 40 minutes to get my food. I was at a table for one and everyone around me that was seated after me (including a table of 10) received their food before me. It took another 15 minutes to get the check after asking two different people.

19/11/2024: Best vegan dining in Killarney, absolutely delicious: Winter Bruschetta Chickpea, lentil & pistachio cake Brownie Staff were really friendly & attentive.

24/10/2024: After a cold and rainy night in Kellerny, we got up and were lucky enough to have a hot and good breakfast at this place. The client is super friendly and very welcoming. I recommend their Scones!!! Very good!

17/09/2024: Stopped here for lunch yesterday the food was nice. The service wasn't great. We ordered two wraps and while they were being made we asked the lady that served us if we could take our seat outside and she told us there's 15 seconds left in the toaster if we can wait for our wraps to take them out ourselves. I found this extremely odd, the cafe was empty and there were 2 tables outside with just coffees, while 4 staff members were behind the counter, one looking at her phone as I waited for my food.. bizarre!..

14/09/2024: The tea is really really very light as you can see in the picture. You can also see that the Greek yogurt still has frozen bits and it's defrosting very slowly in the display case... The mocha wasn't too bad.

14/09/2024: We recently started ordering from here (after they renovated) and we find them excellent on all accounts, large portions, tasty food. Highly recommend trying the aromatic duck with pancakes, fried rice, prawn toast

09/08/2024: We have ordered takeaway from Bamboo House for many years and every dish is delicious. Today, it was beef with Satay sauce, amazing! We had a small issue with ordering on the app, and the restaurant sorted it out straightaway. Highly recommend, you won't be disappointed.

28/09/2024: The food is very good here but the staff really need some training, the manager was extremely rude I have never seen the likes of it, just completely ignoring us and never asking was everything okay or did we need anything, it was impossible to get her attention. Unfortunately there was a black hair in my carbonara and I tried to get her attention but was being ignored, I then went into the restaurant to tell her and I received absolutely no apology, she didn’t offer to have it remade. All she said was okay??? I then asked to get it remade which they did and I was very grateful but again received no apology, even when the new dish came out the manager didnt bring it out or check to make sure everything was okay or take away the food with the hair in it. At the end I do appreciate that the carbonara was taken off the bill but the money was not an issue I would preferred to be treated with some respect and to have gotten an apology, when we paid there was a sneaky comment left “well we don’t know who’s hair it was but I guess a hair is a hair whover it belonged to” insinuating it was mine but neither me or my partner have black hair so there is no possibility. I had come here for many years quite often but to be honest I wont be coming back it has just ruined my view of the restaurant sadly.

17/09/2024: Wir hatten drei verschiedene Pizzen. Sie waren ok. Hatten aber geschmacklich nichts mit Pizzen in Italien oder aus guten deutschen Pizzerien gemeinsam. Das Personal war freundlich und die Wartezeit auf Getränke und Pizza war ok.

10/11/2024: The service was nice and brought the food to the table quickly. I had a dessert that tasted good. The price management is good.

06/11/2024: We wanted a bit of a change for brunch while in Killarney. We went upstairs to the restaurant and the server cleared off a window table. (11/6 clerk #2) Another couple was getting ready to sit there before she was done cleaning off the widow table. The server politely mentioned that she was already cleaning that window table off my wife and myself. The food was excellent the server was super nice, quick and professional. We would highly recommend it.
