The best restaurants in Killarney

13/07/2025: First I must say that a service was absolutely good. Lovely lady, sorry I don’t know your name, we felt very welcomed and looked after. But what is also if not more important we came to eat. This is it. And food was horrible. Cheapest seeded bun (just taken out from the bag, just in date - personal opinion ) , slim and dry burn patty, fries - I’m not even make a comment about it. I wouldn’t even eat that if given for free. At least after I made a complain I didn’t pay for it. I was shocked. I hope that no many people will depend their opinion about Killarney, one of most beautiful places on the world, by this place. Ps. Your motto is „ we did not invite hamburger, we just perfected it” LOL

09/07/2025: Unfortunately, the condition of the toilets left a lot to be desired. They were extremely unclean, and the overpowering stench of urine made the experience quite unpleasant. It's a real shame, as it detracts from what could otherwise be an enjoyable visit. I hope management addresses this issue promptly!

23/07/2025: It was quite at lunchtime but we were very happy with our Pan seared 6oz Steak Sandwich with tender sirloin, sautéed Mushrooms & onions, toasted Ciabatta bread salad & house fries This was why we came to Killarney and we weren't disappointed. Really nice steak sandwich. Friendly staff. Good honest steak speaks for itself. I recommend it, when in Killarney give it a try.

18/07/2025: Food was SO tasty! Lovely staff. Really glad we found this place. Everywhere seemed expensive in Killarney - this place was reasonable for the excellent quality. Highly recommend the beef stroganoff and the homemade bread was delicious.

28/07/2025: Attended Lana killarney Food was not at all close to the usual Lana standards, quality was not great, bought 4 dishes and all the same, would not recommend this to anyone else

24/07/2025: I’ve been going to Lana for ages. The food is great, but the service—especially from one short waitress with black hair—is getting worse. Today, my food sat on the counter for almost 10 minutes. She looked right at it, looked at our table, and just ignored it. I calmly asked about it and she got rude and argumentative right in front of everyone. The food came out cold, she spilled sauce on the table, threw the cutlery down, and walked away—no apology at all. It was embarrassing, and other people around us were even talking about it. This isn’t a one-off. I’ve stood at the door waiting to be seated while she scrolls on her phone, completely ignoring me. She’s not just rude to me either—she’s rude to many customers. I’ve complained multiple times and nothing changes. It’s disappointing to keep supporting a place where basic customer service is so blatantly lacking.

03/06/2025: We ordered four soups two chicken sweet corn (which were clearly marked as chicken) and two hot and sour soups. Since there was no mention of any meat in the hot and sour soup, we assumed it was vegetarian. But when we opened them, we were shocked to find unknown meat pieces. We called the restaurant and a lady in charge picked up after which she told us the soup had pork and beef. As Indians, this was extremely upsetting, since eating beef is against our religion. We politely requested if they could replace the soups with either vegetarian or chicken ones. Instead of helping, the lady was rude, helpess, and blamed us for the situation. There was no apology from the resturant side and no responsibility taken. We were the ones who apologised to her for ordering from this restaurant. We also requested her if we can have a word with the owner or the manager but she straight away refused. This experience was not just disappointing but it was disrespectful. We will never order from here again.

29/05/2025: Very tasty! The staff is kind and even gave us candy! There are no minuses, only pluses!!

08/07/2025: If I could give this hotel zero stars I would. £100 sterling for a Monday night, on my arrival to the hotel I was grunted at by 2 ladies at the front desk, none of them being local, you will find no Irish charm here. Terrible place with terrible staff. It won’t let me post it on here but all I can say is seedy and unfriendly with ladies of the night and lots of non locals living in this hotel

28/06/2025: This would have been a four star experience based on the beds and bathroom, which were great, however the insane amount of noise from either A. the dance class across from our room, B. the dance club music blasting at night, or C. the slags yelling in the alley below us, all made it impossible to relax or sleep. Also, the lack of ventilation means you either have to open the one window and have more noise, or sweat throughout the night. Just not a great choice all around.

19/07/2025: Bonito bollo. Café pobre como se esperaba. Muy difícil conseguir café decente. Buena ubicación y parece muy limpio. Personal no muy amable

25/06/2025: Tengo la mejor quiche que he probado. Tan fresco - directamente del horno. La pastelería estaba crujiente con la cantidad correcta de cebolla roja carmelizada y queso de cabra encima, terminada con huevo claro y esponjoso.

17/07/2025: I wouldn't be going back here. The order for 3 was completely wrong and flung together in a bag. Tables were left uncleared. Not a nice experience.

15/07/2025: Not good at all .slow unfriendly and the taco fries were greasy and the burger was tasteless

28/10/2024: I thought the price of the food was a little bit high, but I was expecting the food to be very good..... it was not very good for the price we paid. The service was not good. They brought out a tray, a cappuccino, and a BLT. The cappuccino wasn't on a saucer, no spoons or stirrers provided, no sugar, and no milk. When she dropped them onto the table, the cappuccino spilt and made a mess. She forgot my Americano and had to go back for it. Again, she came back without saucer, spoons, milk, or sugar. I didn't like how it was carried out without a tray, and she was just holding it by the handle. The price we paid didn't reflect the service we got (or lack thereof).

17/09/2024: Stopped here for lunch yesterday the food was nice. The service wasn't great. We ordered two wraps and while they were being made we asked the lady that served us if we could take our seat outside and she told us there's 15 seconds left in the toaster if we can wait for our wraps to take them out ourselves. I found this extremely odd, the cafe was empty and there were 2 tables outside with just coffees, while 4 staff members were behind the counter, one looking at her phone as I waited for my food.. bizarre!..

19/07/2025: The bouncer is a very unkind man. He actually ruined my night & I went home early. I have alopecia & I am very self conscious about my hair. Last night was showery & I was wearing an expensive Columbia hat. The bouncer very condescendingly made me take it off. I was working at the races all week & was supposed to meet some of my colleagues for the Latin night in Scruffys. What right does this bully have to tell me if I can wear headwear or not. Honestly how dare him. I might add we were at a stag party here before & the same man refused us entry because the stag was wearing a dress. Some of the group suggested we take legal action for that incident. It’s 2025 lads & ye are in one of the most popular tourist destinations in Ireland sort it out immediately. That man owes me an apology & if he doesn’t change his attitude he should change his job.

22/02/2025: Didnt deliver as committed before closing time and used excuse of couldnt dial code for NI mobile. Declined to refund or answer phone at 12 even though order was expected at 1130.

23/07/2025: Perfect place to take your kids and yourself for the best fish and chips.

22/04/2025: I placed a large order for a hen party a couple of days before the event, and it was a fantastic experience! Gilette was wonderful to deal with, and the food arrived bang on time, piping hot, despite a big race event happening in town. The pizzas and party box food were all delicious, and having everything sorted and paid for in advance meant there was absolutely no stress on the day. I would definitely recommend!

28/06/2025: I walked in asked the Indian waiter/manager a question he was rude and abrupt I walked out and took my custom elsewhere. Avoid at all cost. To management: greeting customers with a smile and respect goes along way, it doesn't cost anything.

24/06/2025: Delicious Food & Warm Hospitality – A Must-Try! We had an amazing experience at this Indian restaurant in Killarney ! We ordered few dishes of Paneer & Chicken and Coriander Garlic Naan, and everything was absolutely delicious. The flavors were authentic and perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of spice. The naan was soft, fresh, and packed with flavor — one of the best we’ve had in a while! What made it even more special was the genuine hospitality of the staff and the humble nature of the owner, who made sure we were comfortable and enjoying our meal. It’s rare to find such a great combination of excellent food and heartfelt service. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for good Indian flavours and a warm dining experience. We’ll definitely be returning soon whenever we come to Killarney !

02/07/2025: Got a fantastic quick delivery today to B&B. Bought the 16 inch Bbq Pulled Beef pizza and also garlic cheesy chips. Definitely will be back in person

04/04/2025: Food was great. Chips were a bit dry as they were oven baked. Service was excellent and shop was clean with nice outdoor covered seating. Good prices
