09/09/2026: We came to the pub to listen to music and weren't disappointed! Great atmosphere and the two musicians were fantastic!!! Just let yourself be carried away by the music... And the pub itself is special - a great pub just as it should be!

07/09/2026: Excellent bar to watch the Premiereship Matches, the sound is on, probably the only bar that has decent TVs and sound in Killarney town, Guinness is excellent. All good!

03/07/2026: I really enjoyed our stay at The Heights. My room was very cute and clean. The staff were all incredibly friendly. Special shoutout to Ken from The Mill Bar. He is really knowledgeable about local whiskey and helped us with a last minute reservation at a Michelin rated restaurant in Dingle. In my opinion, the hotel has the perfect location, only a 4 minute drive to the center of town but also in route to the national park and the Ring of Kerry. I would definitely stay here again. 💚💚💚 Tip: when traveling in the summer, ask for a fan at check-in.

27/06/2026: The rooms were grand overall. The only downside was the heat-it was roasting while we were there, so it got a bit uncomfortable at times. Thankfully there was a fan in the room, which made a big difference. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was absolutely lovely. What really stood out though were the cocktails made by Alex. You could actually see the care he put into making them look special. He took his time decorating mine, and it genuinely felt like he wanted every guest to enjoy the experience. Fair play to him! Alex is a brilliant barman-always smiling, always in good form, even when there wasn’t anyone at the bar. And to be fair… hes not hard on the eyes either! 😂 Would definitily recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a lovely place to relax and have a great time. We’ll happily be back.

01/08/2026: We visited Harrow to celebrate a joint birthday with my friend. Unfortunately, the service completely ruined our special day. Our waiter (an older man) acted extremely arrogant and unprofessional. While eating our salad, I accidentally used the wrong knife set out on the table. Instead of professionally replacing it with a clean one, the waiter took away our clean knife and left us with the dirty, sauce-stained knife from the previous course to use for the next one. He did this to every one of us. It felt like a deliberate attempt to condescend, embarrass us, and ruin our mood on our birthday. Our guest had to step in and explicitly ask him to replace the dirty cutlery with clean ones. Later, he brought me my dessert (crème brûlée) with a spoon, making his previous point about the knives completely pointless. Leaving dirty cutlery for the next course is a gross violation of basic hygiene and hospitality standards. We are deeply disappointed by such snobbish and disrespectful treatment. Dear Donna Browne, Thank you for your reply, though it is deeply disappointing to see that instead of addressing the core issue, you chose to gaslight and deflect. Let's be clear: making cocktails that are not on the menu and guests being polite at the end of a birthday dinner do not excuse unprofessional and passive-aggressive behavior from your staff. Your waiter did not just experience a "delayed replacement." As stated, he actively took away our clean cutlery and left us sitting with sauce-stained, used knives from the previous course until our guest was forced to explicitly demand clean ones. Claiming this was an innocent mistake in a busy restaurant insults our intelligence. Brushing off a clear violation of basic hygiene and arrogant treatment as a mere "misunderstanding" shows a lack of accountability. At 80–90 euros per person, guests expect basic respect and hygiene standards, not snobbish attitudes followed by corporate deflection. We will not be returning.

21/07/2026: My partner and I reserved a table for two at 7:30 pm. We were very satisfied with our visit in every respect. The service was attentive and the food was served quickly. The drinks menu had a good selection, including non-alcoholic wine, Prosecco, beer, and cider. The non-alcoholic white wine was a bit too acidic for our taste. We really enjoyed the food. The three-course menu was a good deal for me at €66. However, we each ordered an appetizer and a main course. We each received a drink and a bottle of water.

11/09/2026: Delicious food and excellent service. Our server was diligent about providing me with a gluten free meal. There is a decent wine selection, and we got a wine that we enjoyed. They were careful about separating my meal from my husband's (who is not gf). This was such a pleasant experience, especially after getting sick from gluten exposure shortly after arriving in Ireland. I feel good. Definitely recommend.

06/09/2026: We absolutely loved this restaurant. Visited with 5 adults for dinner yesterday and we all had different meals and everbody was delighted. My Korma was the best I ever tasted, beautifully presented and very attentive and lovely staff. We couldn't have been any happier, thank you for this memorable evening ❤️ we will surely be back.

26/06/2026: This was, without question, the singularly worst hotel experience of my life. We stayed during an unseasonably warm stretch, only to discover the hotel completely lacks air conditioning. Our room was sweltering. The only accommodation provided was a couple of inadequate fans and windows that barely opened, offering absolutely no relief from the heat. To make matters worse, we attempted to use the hotel’s reasonably priced shuttle to head downtown. Astonishingly, the shuttle also lacks air conditioning and does not even have windows that open. It was a suffocating ride, and a mistake we only made once. It is one thing for a property to have a fatal infrastructure flaw like a total lack of climate control. It is entirely another for management to offer absolutely nothing to compensate for such unbearable conditions. Even a simple gesture—like a few complimentary drinks at the bar to help guests cool down—would have gone a long way in showing they care about their guests' comfort. They didn't. If you value basic comfort and standard customer service, stay elsewhere.

25/06/2026: A wonderful hotel! Our room was exceptionally clean and comfortable, and I was highly impressed by the wide variety of facilities available throughout the complex. ​During our stay, we visited OD’s restaurant twice for dinner and twice for breakfast. The food is absolutely incredible—the goat's cheese bruschetta and the corn ribs were outstanding, and every single dessert was stunning! Huge compliments to the kitchen team and the chefs. ​What truly made our stay memorable was the exceptional service from a few standout members of the staff. First, the young lady with glasses (who wore a yellow scarf instead of a tie)—she was an absolute professional, incredibly polite, competent, and cooperative at both breakfast and dinner services. Massive respect for her work ethic! Also, a huge thank you to Amy and Malek; their big smiles and top-tier hospitality will be remembered for a long time. ​On top of that, all the housekeeping ladies were exceptionally polite and thoroughly professional. ​While we noticed a slight contrast on the restaurant floor—as some of the other staff members seemed a bit unsure of their roles—the dedication of the individuals mentioned above, combined with the excellent food and spotless room standards, made our experience great. We would definitely consider staying here again!

12/06/2025: Nice atmosphere and a small selection of house beers. Unfortunately, not all of them were tasty, as we're used to better ones in Germany. Still, it's worth a visit and trying a few. It's best to order 3 or 6 flights to try the different beers. You'll then receive 3 or 6 1/3 pints of your choice, respectively, for either €8 or €16.

06/05/2026: With a bit of time to burn before the tour, we slipped into Ri-Ra Irish Cafe & Bar for a quick reset. Nothing complicated, just a solid coffee and a sausage roll that delivered exactly what it should; flaky, warm, and gone quicker than expected. It was one of those easy stops that sets the tone for the day, good food, relaxed pace, and a place that makes you want to sit just a little longer than planned.

06/09/2026: I ate in different McDonald's across Ireland, Tralee, Cork, Dublin... But Killarney food is the best.

16/12/2025: We took a short break to the Killarney Towers for a Christmas shopping break. The hotel was perfect for our needs being in such a central location. Considering this is right in the centre of one of the most popular tourist towns in the country and has a leisure center, it was incredible value for money. Breakfast was perfect, and all the staff were lovely. A special mention to Anna in the leisure center who made a extra effort to encourage our 3yr old daughter, who was afraid to get in the water to start swimming.
