Mug & Bean in Killarney

Save your money on the scones because you can go next door to Tesco and get a 4 pack for €2. The coffee was good and the service was great! The women’s bathroom was disgusting. Somebody got sick in there and didn’t clean up after themselves! Restaurant can’t do much about that though and I did alert staff who seemed concerned. Overall nice little spot for a quick coffee and pastry if you’re waiting for a tour bus across the road.

The French toast, crepes and smoked salmon were heaven on a plate. The coffee was wonderful and the gentleman that served us was super nice! Wish we had found this place the first day we were there.

A whistle stop tea break in this charming little cafe, turned out to be a one of those " it's a small world !! " moments. Having recently returned from South Africa, hubby and I were curious as to why the Cafè was named Mug and Bean ? It's a name used for a cafe chain in S.A ( Mugg and Bean ) turns out the owner has family there and regularly makes the trip over and will be off again next week 🤣🤣 A great chance encounter, a great chat and SUPERB chocolate chip cookies !! Definitely worth a visit 🙋🏼‍♀️

Perfect stop for a breakfast, had the full Irish, all fresh, hot and well cooked, friendly efficient service.

Went because they had a vegan breakfast. When it arrived the beans were in a warm dish but the beans themselves were stone cold. My husband asked for soup of the day but they didn’t have any soup made on that day. My teapot lid was broken and I couldn’t stir my tea because there was nothing to get hold of and the lid was hot. Had to ask for a mug for me tea Had to ask for serviettes All in all not a great experience and I wouldn’t be likely to come back.

Food and service was excellent. WiFi available.
