This place was wonderful. There are quirks associated with it being an older hotel, but they shouldn't bother anyone who can appreciate its central location. Simple example: you leave your room key with the front desk rather than have a swipe card. Security-wise, this is head-and-shoulders over just anyone potentially accessing your room. You can easily retrieve your key any time of day or night. The rooms were spacious, the linens immaculate, and the staff always available and very friendly. We had just left a modern hotel in Dublin with miserable HVAC and sealed windows, so the ability to open a window and get fresh air was literally refreshing. Yes, Killarney will start being noisy at 7:30AM as cleaning crews come through, but you hear nothing. Each time we needed anything at all, it was readily available.

Wow my wife and I had a great stay .Hotel and staff were absolutely brilliant so nice and welcoming. The food was so gud 10/10 👍.Breakfast was also brilliant will definitely stay again .Killarney is a great place loads of Bars Restaurants and gift shops tours its got it all and as an Irish man I have to say the scenery is as gud as anywhere in the world

I know you might be thinking this is too good to be true , but trust me . Our experience was impecable.
The Royal is one of those hotels where you feel looked after at every turn. The hotel itself is just beautiful , classic and extremely clean in a perfect location in the heart of the town.
The staff were so friendly and attentive from the superb receptionist to the waiting staff, they truly go the extra mile to make you feel welcomed.
The food at the candle light restaurant was superb. We chose a 4 course dinner and every single dish was presented beautifully and tasted amazing .
How can they top it up? They offer you complimentary wellness centre passes to Their sister hotel “The Great southern “ across the road where you can enjoy facilities like the swimming pool, sauna , jacuzzi and steam room.
We will come back most definitely.

Our stay in this hotel was very pleasant. A warm welcome, a voluntary effort on the part of all the staff to try to communicate in French. The location is ideal for exploring the city and eating out in the surrounding area.
Two small downsides, the free parking which does not adjoin the hotel and especially the room which, despite its cozy appearance, is absolutely not isolated. The noises from the neighbors above were very unpleasant.
Little advice: Ask to occupy a room on the 2nd floor.

The most fantastic trip for my mother and Aunt who are 88 and 83 years old. They spent two nights at Killarney Royal Hotel this week. They could not speak highly enough about their experience. Staff were particularly kind and friendly to them from the time they arrived until they left.They had 'great craic' with the gentleman who served their dinner on Tuesday night and they were delighted with the welcome treats in their room. Food was fantastic. Their room was 'exceptionally nice', warm, spacious and very quiet. Thank you so much to everyone in Royal Hotel.. You have two more regular guests for sure.

This was the best hotel and experience ever. We felt so welcomed, everyone was so friendly and our room was exceptional. The location is fantastic, right in town, so walking to everything was made so easy! This is definitely a place I will go back to.
