The best restaurants in Killarney

16/05/2026: What an amazing spot. Snug style booths everywhere and the pizza parlor and rear outdoor area really wowed us. The Bartender called a taxi for us then knowing we were tourists, kindly talked us over to the side street the Driver would be picking us up at. Very thoughtful service level.

26/10/2025: Service was unbelievably excellent. Best we have seen so far in Ireland and all has been very good but this one stands out and about.. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay here again. Food was delicious wonderful ambience throughout the entire hotel and grounds. Excellent location to walking distance for nearby activities also attended church, which was nearby within a six minute walk.

10/04/2026: This is by far the best pint of Guinness in Killarney. You could not ask for a better pub than Jack C's. From the multi-generation owner/bartender to the local crowd that frequent it, you're in luck if you can find a spot at the bar to chat with the crowd before a trad session breaks out.

07/05/2026: Great place to eat in town centre. Was very busy, so lucky to get a table for four. I had the fish spice box, which was lovely, the others had the battered fish and chips, which went down extremely well too. Totally recommend this restaurant

18/05/2026: Seeing the restaurant's rave reviews, and having had an absolutely awful day, I was thrilled when a table became available. I'd barely sat down for a few minutes, while still on a voice call to my parents to recount my day, when the waiter rushed me to order because, and I quote, "there are people waiting outside." The implication was that I needed to hurry up and choose (and frankly, as if I cared that people were waiting outside?). I came here to relax, but this is off to a bad start… The food and beer arrived quickly, and thankfully, they were pretty good. But I'd barely finished my last fry when my plate was whisked away. And the bill was brought right after. Like, way too fast, almost like I was being rushed out the door. I still had to ask the waiter if I could finish my beer… I'm going to conclude that it's perhaps (I hope) a misunderstanding and a cultural difference (whereas in France, time in a restaurant is sacred because we're there to savor and enjoy ourselves) and not a purely profit-driven approach to rushing service, which would be offensive to a customer.

29/04/2026: Very decent food though a bit pricey. Especially liked the fish chowder and lamb shank. Fish and chips was OK. Service is good.

14/05/2026: A lovely seafood meal in the centre of Killarney. Booking online was very easy, we reserved very quickly. We were greeted nicely and shown to a table upstairs. The place is spotless, and style is contemporary. The kitchen is open so diners downstairs can see I to it A good menu with lots of choice. We ordered the Seafood Chowder and Squid starters and they arrived within a minute or two. Both were delicious, nicely presented, generous in size and piping hot. The chowder was full of prawns, mussels and fish. A lovely silky creamy soup enveloped them. The mains were delivered to us within a couple of minutes of finishing our starters. We ordered Cromane Mussels and Sea Bass fillets in Squid Ink Risotto with shrimps and Pistachio Dukkah. Both again, were piping hot, generous in their size and beautifully presented. Both were absolutely delicious. Faultless cooking. Wine accompanying the meal was lovely, and service was friendly and efficient. Our only criticism would be the speed we were served at. Starters arrived bed within seconds, and mains as soon as starter plates were taken away. A gap of a few minutes between courses would have been nice. All that said, it was a fabulous meal, we'd highly recommend the place and happily eat there again. Faultless cooking, beautiful food.

09/05/2026: Amazing gluten free options. My husband who is coeliac and I shared 4 gf starters and a side of chips. Excellent knowledge of gluten free. Nothing an issue. One of the best meals we have shared.

16/05/2026: There was a bit of a wait when we arrived (we were seated at the bar), but it was well worth it! The setting was very cozy, calm, intimate, and lovely. The food was excellent. The best restaurant we ate at during our 8 days in Ireland. The staff was very pleasant.

19/05/2026: Killarney Golf & Fishing Club was a perfect finish to our trip. The setting is beautiful, the course is excellent, and the overall experience felt polished and memorable from start to finish. Our group had a wonderful time there, and the team was extremely helpful with booking updates and arrangements leading into the round. Everything was handled professionally, and the day itself ran very smoothly. It is a wonderful combination of championship golf, great scenery, and genuine hospitality. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone planning a golf trip to Ireland.

09/05/2026: Played Killeen’s with work society and have only complement’s. The views are amazing and to add to that the course was in great condition for May in Ireland. Greens firm and fast. Add to that the Deer 🦌, food at the clubhouse etc really worth a visit.

17/05/2026: The best mussels I’ve ever had … didn’t know that mussels can be soooo tasty & omg … the duck was amazing ! The skin was crispy & the meat was full of flavor ! And of course the steak … perfectly done … probably the best meal in all of Ireland ❤️💚

05/05/2026: We had a very nice meal here. The food was wonderful, and the staff was accommodating, even though we showed up on a Saturday night with no reservation during the rally of the lakes. I'd recommend it if you're looking for a nice dinner, but probably not the place to go if you're out for drinks, it was definitely a nicer atmosphere
