The Laurels in Killarney

Great food, evenen greater drink selection.

Great place for a bite to eat after a day of touring Killarney. The food was delicious…fish and chips were piping hot and the burger was amazing with bacon, cheese, tomato, pickles and a tasty mayo type dip on the side. A tad noisy, but that’s to be expected in a busy pub. Overall it was a great meal!

We had a quick dinner at the Laurals. We informed our waiter that we were on a tight timeline and he could not have accommodated us better. The food was good, atmosphere was pleasant. Only regret is that we did not have more time to enjoy. Would recommend and would return to the Laurals.

The food was good. I had the potato cakes with chicken and bacon and it was excellent. My wife had the cheeseburger and she said it was okay. Not bad, but nothing to write home about. The service was excellent. Very fast and very friendly.

We went on a Wednesday night and the place was absolutely packed, which immediately confirmed to us that it had to be good. A friend recommended it to us, and we were really glad we went. The atmosphere was great, the food was delicious, and even though it was very busy, the service was excellent and our dishes arrived surprisingly fast.

Simply a great restaurant and Irish pub…the easy seating, great service and excellent food will make us want to come back! If you go to one restaurant in Killarney to enjoy an Irish meal, this is the one.

We had a wonderful time at this Irish pub, which offers a varied menu at affordable prices. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and you can even request a typical dish to be served that same evening at lunchtime! The desserts are very good, especially the trifle and the toffy sticky pudding. A great place to eat in Killarney!

At Laurels Pub, you eat in the back, where there's a second bar and two large screens. The place is currently quite hyped, unfortunately undeservedly. The service is rather uninspired and disinterested, at least on the evening of our visit. You sit on high stools at round tables. There are no sofas. The menu is concise and offers what tourists like, from fajitas and pizzas to lamb. The meals are okay. However, you won't find typical Irish or Anglo-Irish cuisine here. The prices per meal are too high by Irish standards, and you get more for less in other pubs. In short: good only in a pinch, not for gourmets. We won't be going back.
