27/06/2026: Fish bones in chowder the place is trying to win an award for….. interesting. Service was awful. Waited almost an hour and 50 minutes and never got our food. Blamed everything on the chef when clearly it was front of house mistake. Go somewhere else.
17/06/2026: I had the oyrsters with the mignoette sauce. It's was blasphemously good, I can see why she'll fish are in the Bible as a sin, because...god dayum!!!

18/07/2026: It was one of those surprises that opened up a true world of seafood flavors for me. Everything was incredibly fresh, perfectly prepared, and meticulously crafted. Every bite confirmed my belief that seafood can taste truly exceptional. Definitely a place I'll be returning to and recommending!

11/08/2026: A great place with a great atmosphere and takeout options. If you're looking for a restaurant, don't come here, but for a local food experience, I recommend it.
Warning: the portions are huge.
09/08/2026: Absolutely loved this place! Tied with a Michelin star restaraunt in Dublin for my favorite place to eat in Ireland. Sometimes you can’t beat fresh and simple. Fresh monkfish was delicious, eat it while it’s hot! Made to order so don’t expect it right away, I’d say I waited about 15 min, but it was worth it!

The Fish Box

06/09/2026: The welcome was excellent, the waiters attentive and very kind. We ordered a box for two. The calamari tasted only of curry, the sauces were delicious, and the fries were raw. You could see them. We sent them back; even the second fries were raw in the center (because they have very large fries), really not very good.
The place is nice and very clean, but very, very smelly. Our clothes were ready to be thrown away when we left.
06/09/2026: Hard to get a table at this hugely popular seafood restaurant, kudos to the staff here, excellent food and service.
Had the catch of the day which was exceptional.

23/08/2026: Best place in town for sea bass with delicious sauce and vegetables. For us, it's better than the OOTD restaurant next door, which has a better reputation. However, as French people, a glass of rosé at 9 a.m. seems excessive.

But the cheeseboard was strange (and had no explanation of which cheese was which) because it came with onions and an almost tomato sauce thingie that didn’t go with the cheese… Also: why was the place pushing hot sauce so much? And where did the tasting menu from the website go?)
18/08/2026: The hake was the best fish I've ever tasted. The sauce and vegetables were beyond impressive. Nothing was out of place.

14/08/2026: Absolutely BEAUTIFUL beef and Guinness stew large enough to share. Made with very clearly fresh and local ingredients (about half a cow and 3 bags of carrots per portion....) Really good service and atmosphere too. Totally recommend.

08/08/2026: My wife and I had a really nice dinner at Solas. The Spanish-inspired dishes made with local Irish seafood were unique, interesting, and very well done. It was a great change of pace from some of the more traditional seafood spots in Dingle, while still highlighting the quality of the local ingredients.
Who knew tapas and Irish seafood would get along so well? Definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for something a little different.
07/08/2026: On balance, experience was poor. Whilst some of the food was excellent, others considerably less than that. Particularly disappointing was the fact that we were charged over €30 for two small glasses of Albarino! Only advice is to consider a bottle, then at least you know the quantity that you are paying for! In fairness, this is not a case of “it not being for us”.

13/08/2026: Beautiful fresh fish. We went for the platter and although its meant for 1 person we shared between two and it was more than enough for a lunch. Absolutely delicious
12/08/2026: The service was quick and professional. The waitstaff was on their game. However, I left disappointed. The fish I had was fine. The veggie side portion was small, so I ordered extra, which came right away. I was disappointed because this meal was expensive for the atmosphere of the restaurant. This is going to sound critical, hear me out. Silverware wrapped in a paper napkin, paper cups for the sauces, no table cloth. It had a low class feel for a high price.
I ate at two other "fine dining" establishments in Dingle, one was the same cost, and the other was actually less. I don't mind paying for a nice meal, well prepared and presented. At 60 euros (after tip, no alcohol) it was a pricey dinner for one person with a single paper napkin. Oh, and the ice crusher on the bar right behind me. Come on, crush ice in the back room, for goodness sakes.
