Anchor Down
An daingean
26/09/2024: Sheehy's Anchor Down is a restaurant located in Dingle, the most important one in Dingle Penensula. We came here to have dinner last October and we could eat a soup of the day and a home made fisherman's pie, which were very good. Also we drank a Golden Ale beer from West Kerry Brewery, which is not so far from here. Very nice place, decoration and food.
18/08/2024: I'm surprised to see such rave reviews. Everywhere we've gone in Ireland we've been treated to excellent hospitality. Until we went to Sheehy's...We were greeted by a grumpy waitress who gave us the worst table in the house even though there were lots of open tables. When she brought us menus, they were out of shrimp and calamari and mussels and other fish. I ordered the Seafood Chowder which was good, but my husband got the Fish Pie, which looked like exactly the same thing with potatoes on top for way more money.

Ashes
An daingean
08/10/2024: Just finished a fantastic meal at Ashes.
One of the freshest and best seafood meals I have ever had. Fresh fresh fresh.
The service is friendly, atmosphere is just right, not too noisy, not too quiet.
Prices are reasonable.
Bumped into a local gentleman on the way out, who thought this was the best restaurant in Dingle for seafood, completely agree.
Must try if in Dingle
07/10/2024: There were 7 of us having lunch at Ashes and the food was delicious. Some of us had the flavoursome seafood chowder which was generous with the amount of fresh fish in it and was accompanied by soft homemade soda bread. Some had the crab and prawn dumplings which were warm and tasty, equally as good. One had the mussels and ate them all! We all shared brownies for pudding which were soft and gooey. The service was really good and friendly. We had a fantastic lunch and we look forward to coming back again to Ashes when we are next in Dingle.

Dingle Pub
An daingean
15/01/2025: We wanted to listen to some live music on our first night in Dingle. This pub sounded lively so we walked in and got a table. We had some pints and some typical Irish fare while we listened to some great live Irish music. Our server David was excellent and we asked him about whether or not we should stay to see the Irish dancing, he laughed. Turns out, his parents own the pub and HE is the world famous Irish dance champion! We moved closer to the bar where he would be dancing and other than a pretty long wait and more pints than we needed to drink, we stayed the night to watch him dance. He was amazing and fun with the crowd. It is great when an ordinary night turns into something special.
04/11/2024: Thank you David for making our nights so special - battle of who’s “cranker”? 😂
David’s shout out and extra time spent with my 81 year old cousin “cranky” Mary Pat was one of our evening outing highlights!
We had so much fun at The Dingle Pub, the live music was excellent as well. We were on a tour with #ConnectTheDots, and Mark had suggested several places in Dingle, including The Dingle Pub, a nice family run pub with live music and a chance to see Ireland’s top dancer …

Paudie's Bar
An daingean
16/03/2025: Very good food and very kind waiting staff. However, the sodas were completely flat. We told our attendant and she changed it, but when we ordered the next one, we faced the same issue. The soft drinks are brought to the table in glasses, already poured and no sign of the can/bottle. Bottled/canned drinks should be brought to the table in their closed bottle/can. If that little but important detail was observed, the place would deserve a 5.
23/09/2024: My mum is a kerry woman born and bread. She lives in another part of the country now. Every year 4 ladys come down and travel round kerry all lost there husbands. All they do is eat out and visit friends , the best thing is eating out one a day and it's there high light of the day. One day last week they went in to your over priced pub restaurant and had a meal mum had the lamb shank it was so embarrassing to eat mum's got her own teeth well this was so tough it was like leather. Her sister in law sent it back for her so she got bacon and cabbage instead well it was not nice if your going to serve food in Ireland in an over priced pub please please do it properly people deserve it so people please eat somewhere else not a tourist destination. This is from a chef of 48 years . So the mum eat in a decent place .
