The Fish Box in An daingean

Simply one of the best restaurants in Ireland, the food quality was excellent, the service was very good, and the atmosphere was great. Thank you very much for the experience.

Very friendly staff, not a long wait even when busy, large selection of seasonal fish, excellent choice for those undecided is the sharing box (different varieties of fried fish)

I was happy to find a place that has decided to not stick to the basic option of providing a simple vegan vegetable curry but offering a more creative version with protein and the bread! The dish was super tasty, would recommend for vegans, veggies, everybody. It was more like a chana masala though. Improvements that I would welcome: 1. I found none of the advertised potatos, and veg like broccoli, pepper would be a welcomed addition, especially for the price of 19 € 🥦🌶 2. Pleease cut the ginger smaller or grate it. It was super chunky even for a person who likes ginger. 🫚

Seafood chowder is not really muy cup of tea, but this one was superb. Absolutely delicious. You must try. But maybe you can try any other thing of the menu. Tasty and great value for your money.

A little disappointed after reading “best fish ever” and “best place in Dingle”. I wouldn’t personally go that far. The seafood chowder had plenty of fish in it which was good, but it was too creamy and didn’t feel as fresh as the one we had at The Blasket Centre the day before. The fish box was good, plenty of food and not swimming in oil like a traditional fish n chip shop. But, we preferred the service and food at Reel Dingle Fish down the road. A good restaurant, but not excellent in our opinion.

Happy to have lunch here. Nothing to complain. Food perfect.
