The Junction Bar

Tralee
27/10/2024: Food is great. The menu is diverse. Seems a good spot for families with young kids, with good deserts.
20/10/2024: I like to feed you. We ate delicious food in a good atmosphere.

The Anvil Bar

21/10/2024: Superb Irish pub, home cooking but excellent. I highly recommend
15/10/2024: Ate here 3 out of the 4 nights I stayed in Castlemaine, while I explored the Dingle Peninsula. I ate at a very "well-known" fish and chips place in Dingle, and they didn't stand a chance in comparison with the fish and chips at The Anvil. Well done 👏 ✔️ 👍.

Casey's Bar & Restaurant

Kenmare
13/10/2024: Altijd top eten en top bediening. Heerlijke open haard. En hele lieve zorgzame en gastvrije mensen. Vraag naar de specials.
04/09/2024: We ate in the restaurant on three evenings (reservations recommended, at least for non-hotel guests like us). Parking directly in front of the house. Very friendly staff. Fantastic food, the best during our 2 1/2 week tour of Ireland (with many good restaurants visited). Prices correspond to the level (two people, starter/main/dessert, wine, beer, various non-alcoholic drinks approx. 100 euros)

Land to Sea

09/11/2024: We were excited to check this out based on the reviews, but found everything to be rather mediocre.
30/10/2024: Really great place, went there for my birthday and brilliant food… softest juiciest pork I’ve eaten for a long time! The croquettes were really creamy and the monkfish starter was delicious. Hake was really nicely cooked too. Nice flavour combinations on all dishes. The deserts were lovely as well! There were somethings I had never seen before but they tasted great! The staff were lovely. My dad really liked the bread they served before the starters and had been looking for a recipe for similar bread for ages and he asked them and the chef came out and gave him the recipe! Very nice of him. Overall, really good food!

Caragh Restaurant

Killarney
26/10/2024: Beautiful place, really very picturesque, the owners take care of you and make an effort to make you feel comfortable. Incredible food highly recommended!!!
07/10/2024: Service was very kind. The restaurant itself was ok (3.5 stars for ambient). Unfortunately, the food was rather mediocre (2.5 stars). Not bad overall, but some flaws like watery vegetables and lack of salt and spices - and everything came so fast that it was probably not fresh. So in the end still ok, 3 stars especially because of the friendly service, but with much room for culinary improvement.

31/10/2024: Best restaurant hands down in Dingle. Excellent food, wonderful service, and a great place to learn about the history of Dingle and the surrounding area.
28/10/2024: The only place to eat if you want to impress a friend or colleague. Simply put exceptional food.

Foleys Bar & Restaurant

01/11/2024: Was visiting Inch beach and stopped for some food. Got the scampi for like nineteen euros and when it arrived there were nine scampi with a bit of salad and chips. Scampi obviously cooked from frozen as they were so watery. Chips were good. Won't be back, don't like paying 2 euros a piece for watery scampi.
31/10/2024: Great atmosphere. Lovely local bar. Food and outdoor seating great views.. đź‘Ť

Killarney Oaks Hotel

Killarney
18/11/2024: We were a group of Ladies from Ennis,we were there for a few days, everything about the hotel, the reception, rooms, food, staff was perfect. Dierdre was so helpful and made sure our stay was lovely. I would recommend The Killarney Oaks to anyone for a stay of comfort and friendlyness.🥰 💯.
10/11/2024: Didn't stay here had a family meal . The lady attending to us was excellent . There were 4 adults and we had a double buggy as twins and she organised everything frim opening a door especially to allow buggy to go in without dismantling and upsetting the children and a special end table where the buggy sat nicely behind so the children could be watched. The food was first class and very timely and service was very good and friendly.

Quinlan’s Seafood Bar

Killarney
30/10/2024: This small restaurant didn't appear busy on entry. It has good service and delicious food. The seafood is fresh and packed with flavour. A great change from all of the pubs, Quinlan’s is a definite must try in Killarney.
28/10/2024: Top quality and a waiter who gives explanations in French for the children. Very well received.

Murphy Brownes

Killarney
15/10/2024: Stopped by this pub for an Irish coffee and a quick bite, and I wasn’t disappointed. I tried their toastie with four kinds of cheese and onion jam—such a delicious twist of flavors. The Irish coffee was spot on too. A perfect combo for a cozy break.
05/10/2024: This is one of the best lamb shanks I have ever had, we had it last year and had to come back this year. And they did not disappoint at all. The staff was great and the atmosphere was just the right place to take that someone special.

Spillane's

27/09/2024: Spillane's bar is a traditional Irish restaurant located in Castle Gregory, a little town in Dingle Peninsula, in Western Ireland. We came here to have dinner and it was an excellent choice. We could taste homemade food: a soup of the day as the first dish, grilled monkfish and fish with sauce as the main dish, and a crumble as dessert. All was excellent! Also, we drank a Kilkenny beer. Very recommendable!
24/09/2024: This place has gone seriously downhill. We’ve been visiting Spillanes for years and it has usually been quite good. Unfortunately our last two visits were very disappointing. Quality of the food has really disimproved. Chowder was lukewarm and tasteless. Sent back 3 bowls which they proceeded to microwave one by one resulting in us all eating at different stages. Toasted sandwich was poor also. We were charged for a pint of Guinness that we didn’t get but they quickly refunded that. Service was mediocre but the food let the place down significantly. I’d be slow to return.

Kayne's Bar

Killarney
29/10/2024: One of the quality restaurants in Killarney. The food was delicious and well presented but we wait a bit much than we expected for the drinks to come.
23/10/2024: Good spot for a bite to eat but a little on the expensive side

Bunkers

Killorglin
26/10/2024: I had the baked Hake, which was a very generous portion with a lovely creamy sauce. I would have to say that it was slightly dry and so were the mashed potatoes, but overall, very good food. Stove was burning bright, and there was a good-natured group beside us. So the atmosphere was jolly and warm.
21/10/2024: The best leek and potato soup I’ve ever had. Found this place when we were driving and stopped in for a quick bite and was surprised by the soup. The toasty was average but the experience was made memorable by the delicious soup.
