20/09/2024: Wow! Wow! Wow! We were in Kenmare to celebrate our daughter-in-law’s birthday. We came in without a reservation and they were super accommodating. I had the duck egg roll which was a starter special. The chef made it into a main and our waiter suggested the au gratin potatoes as a side. The duck egg rolls were served halved on a cabbage, bean sprouted peanut salad with a sweet chili dressing. The au gratin potatoes were done with cream that was steeped with rosemary. Absolutely incredible. I would eat it 7 days a week. My husband, son and daughter-in-law had the roast chicken special which they devoured. Gastropub food at its finest!

16/09/2024: We were offered the special - prawns. They arrived and were so leathery and over cooked they were inedible. We returned them and ordered a replacement meal, ribs which were very sweet, but tender. We had expected some recognition by way of one drink off the bill, but this did not occur. Disappointing.

19/10/2024: An outstanding restaurant with convivial staff and delicious food. This is clearly a hometown favorite by the number of people there and for an obvious reason, superb food and wonderful dining experience.

30/10/2024: Mediocre. Was given a glowing recommendation but was disappointed. Had the hake fish and chips the batter was oily, with an strong aftertaste and the fish dry inside. Fries not great either. Was hoping for more in a fishing port

09/11/2024: A very nice bar and restaurant in a great location in Dingle. I had the Roast Beef Striploin and had the Beef Burger. Food and drinks were lovely, and the staff were very friendly and attentive.

04/11/2024: DO NOT eat here. The seafood chowder sent my husband into the hospital with severe food poisoning. The pizza was thin crust & tasted worse than a grocery microwave pizza. 0/5 stars for sure!!

25/08/2024: We arrived and asked a staff member for a table. She straight away said 'no' when we asked if we could wait she again said 'no'. I asked "so you're telling me that we should just leave?". She shrugged her shoulders and walked away as a man kindly overheard the conversation and let us join his table. The waitress was then annoyed we had sat down and was beyond unprofessional. The food was fine, nothing to write home about. The saving grace for his place is the view. Management could do with training staff on the bare minimum of customer service

24/08/2024: Sat on the patio, looked at the sea, craft beer and one of the best burgers I've had had in a while.

03/11/2024: My daughter and I stopped in here for something to eat. Food was gorgeous. Lovely waitress very attentive. Great atmosphere in there. Id Fish cakes very very nice daughter had Caesar salad said it was lovely. Would highly recommend

14/09/2024: We ate at sailors Bar two out of our three nights staying at Oakfield B&B on the recommendation of Marian and Morty and it didn't disappoint . The food was delicious. The scampi wqs our favourite. The young girl serving our table was very attentive and chatted to us about our day. We are looking forward to returning already .

09/09/2024: Visiting from the UK to do the Wild Atlantic Way. You definitely want to divert to experience Helen’s Bar. We arrived early and the bar was alive with a great atmosphere. We had a wonderful warm welcome from the staff and of course Helen who engaged with us straight away and ensured we had a table as soon as possible. Couldn’t resist the mussels and open prawn sandwich both were delicious and such good value. It also provides an overnight stay in their car park, what’s not to like. We have been blown away by the hospitality we have received during our trip so far. We would certainly highly recommend Helen’s Bar for breakfast, lunch or dinner it’s fantastic. It s also a B&B. Thank you Helen and her hard working staff for making our evening very special. Andrea and Tony

27/08/2024: Lovely spot for a catch-up with lots of seating both inside and outside. Freshly baked goods on offer as well as a wide selection on their menu (mainly visited for breakfast and coffee). Seller of local goods as well as take home meals and frozen goods, supporting local produce. 5 Mile coffee is a winner! Well worth stopping by, all the staff are so welcoming and provide a wonderful service
