08/08/2025: Fantastic meal. The marinated chicken was delicious. Stayed afterwards to listen to a bit of live music. The owners were very nice and sorted a taxi for us to head back to our B&B afterwards.

02/07/2025: Great hotel, location is right next to the golf course. The family that operates the hotel are excellent, very kind and personable. Highly recommend staying here if playing Bally.

07/09/2025: Absolutely delicious food and great service/friendly staff. I had the steak (special of the day), which came with onion rings and mashed potatoes. They still offered to bring me chips. The fish (also a special) was delicious and well cooked. Not pictured: the veggies on the side that came with both dishes. Parking is easy, there is a huge car park nearby.

05/12/2025: We stayed here a few months ago during our trip to Ireland. We were very excited to stay at this resort and had booked a sea-view room at an upcharge. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we were told that no sea-view rooms were available despite our confirmed reservation. We were eventually moved to another room that was nicely appointed, but it did not have the sea view we wanted and paid a higher rate for. The hotel declined to adjust the price or refund the difference, which was disappointing, especially since this was an error on the hotel’s side and not ours. To make matters more difficult, a large wedding was taking place during our stay. While weddings are understandable, the impact on non-wedding guests in this case was significant. The bar, lounge areas and balcony were almost completely occupied by wedding guests and loud music, making it very uncomfortable to use the space. Although staff insisted we could still use the bar, the reality was that 90–95% of the area was taken over by the wedding party. Furthmore, the restaurant was unavailable during the time we planned to have dinner, as they were busy cooking for and serving the wedding group. This meant we had to leave the property and walk into town just to get a meal. Considering the premium price and the fact that this was the stay we were most looking forward to on our trip, the overall experience fell well below expectations. After the hotel declined to resolve the room-rate issue, I ultimately had to contest the charge through my credit card provider (Visa). After submitting documentation, the case was reviewed and Visa ruled in my favour, issuing a refund for the difference in room category that we initially paid for. The resort itself is beautiful, and the location is great, but the combination of not receiving the room we booked, the lack of compensation, and the significant disruption from the wedding made our stay far less enjoyable than it should have been. I hope the hotel takes this feedback seriously and improves the experience for guests who are not part of large events.

20/08/2025: Excellent seafood restaurant in a very pleasant and refined setting. Reservations are required, but it's definitely worth it: the dishes are carefully prepared and the seafood is excellent. It's definitely worth a stop! In our opinion, it was the best restaurant on the Dingle Way, which we just completed.

16/11/2025: Awesome local place. My partner and I were both roaming around and came across this find and the staff was lovely. However, we both did get sick after eating here. I had the beef stew and got food poisoning afterward, and my partner got sick too. I’m hoping this was just a random occurrence and/or something just affected me differently because it was really nice at the time of eating. Great staff, food choices, and atmosphere though.

20/11/2025: I dream of this fish and chips. It’s incredible. The fish is cooked to perfection. John is an absolute gentle man and makes everyone feel so welcome. I’ve never seen a chipper with a wood burning stove inside! Absolutely incredible. Fish and chips by a fire was never as good as it is the Hungry Knight. Counting down the days until I’m back there again.

18/10/2025: I don't know how this place has a 4.2 rating. Of the entire 10oz meal, plus fries with cheese and garlic sauce, the only good thing was the hamburger meat – probably thanks to the butcher from the nearby shop across the street. The fries were hard, and the bun looked like it came from a supermarket, which isn't befitting a place that claims to be an artisan burger joint. In Poland, this level of quality would probably deserve a rating of around 3. On the plus side – the service was very friendly and helpful. Perhaps the quality of the food is different in the summer, but unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it in October.

18/12/2025: We stayed at the hotel as part of my hen weekend. Absolutely top class. The food was lovely and the rooms and staff. Feels a lot more than a 3 star hotel.

25/08/2025: Loved both the Lake Hotel and Lakeside Bistro. The location provides amazing views of Killarney mountains and lakes! Service staff was amazing! We had some jet lag the found us awake at midnight. The serving crew, cleaning up the day’s service stopped to makes us a fresh coffee and real cream tray to take back to our room! The food was great and the bar atmosphere was cozy. Only wish the actual bar, itself, held more seats. The room was spacious with great views! Highly recommend it!!

05/07/2025: Really enjoyed our meal. Everything was plated well and was delicious. Dessert was impressive. My wife ordered the tiramisu and I had the pannacotta. Highly recommend both. And you can’t beat the view!
