03/01/2026: Excellent restaurant in a pleasant setting. Good food. The pudding is excellent.
03/12/2025: A very pleasant surprise! We weren't expecting much when we went in, yet we ate very well! The goat cheese, strawberry, and walnut salad was excellent and refreshing, and the fish and chips were generous. Plus, the place was clean!

Larkins Pub & Restaurant
Milltown
28/11/2025: We were on holiday and staying in Milltown for 3 nights and decided we wanted to go grab some food and drinks at a local pub. We stopped at Larkin's Pub and immediately we knew we were in the right place the owner Mike helped us immediately and was full of great information of places to see around the area. We also came back a couple nights later on Wednesdays they have traditional Irish music being played right in the bar. Was great to listen to had great drinks and the locals were fun to talk with. If you're in the area stop by and see Mike and the rest of his crew. Tell him the farmer from Oregon sent you.
25/10/2025: Lovely Pub. I was on the way from Tralee we stop for a quick bite, good pub grub! Toasted sandwich with chips & salad, fire was blazing needed on a cold October evening. The Guinness looked good.
Friendly staff and customers.

Killarney Oaks Hotel
Killarney
23/05/2026: Very nice hotel, excellent service, friendly and accommodating.
22/05/2026: About a 30-minute walk from the city. The room is quite dated. Unfortunately, there's no refrigerator in the room.

Louis Mulcahy Pottery
23/09/2025: Beautiful pieces, brilliant colors and shapes, and very nice people.
Unfortunately, they're too big for our small suitcase!
They ship worldwide!
04/09/2025: Best pottery in Ireland! We bought several pieces from here and they delivered to Canada. Great views of the ocean and countryside as well.

Monk's Lounge
Killarney
14/05/2026: We went here just for one cocktail after dinner at the Yew Tree and found a relaxed atmosphere with a piano player and fireplace in the main room and besides a smaller, more pub-like room with a TV on a Sports program, so one can choose according to the mood. Great waiter and good cocktails, bit expensive of course but fine for once on a special occassion.
24/04/2026: Nice restaurant, but pricey, and I didn't feel at ease, and that was due to the service. I wouldn't recommend it. My husband's food was fine; I received the wrong thing, and in my opinion, that was because the husband completely misunderstood me. However, the staff made me feel like it was my fault. I decided to eat it because of that, but felt very uncomfortable.

Hungry Knight
Sneem
16/05/2026: If you like bland food, this is your takeaway
No wonder it was so quiet inside when we went in for a pizza, the miserable lad behind the counter didn't improve the atmosphere of the place
11/05/2026: I've tried fish and chips at many different restaurants, but this was the first time I'd seen it in breadcrumbs. It was a little surprising to me to be honest, but once I tried it, I realized it was actually less oily and lighter, and more crunchy than the traditional battered fish. The homemade tartar sauce was tasty, and the price was reasonable, and the tables were clean. The service was nice as well. It’s not exactly proper fish and chips since it’s made with breadcrumbs instead of traditional batter, but it was still tasty enough for me to recommend it to someone. Thank you for making our part of the journey better.

Harringtons
An daingean
19/03/2026: I was here for the second time today, once to get something sweet and once to get something savory.
For the sweet treat, I had a chocolate brownie with some ice cream and was absolutely delighted: incredibly delicious and melted in your mouth, no complaints there.
However, I was only moderately impressed with the lunch. Aside from the fact that most of the menu consisted of seafood with fries (which isn't a criticism, just an observation), I ordered a salad with salmon. Somehow, I had imagined the salad a bit differently, as it was described as a "Smoked Salmon Salad" and ultimately arrived as a separate salad with some bread alongside the sliced salmon. But that's probably more due to my own expectations than the dish itself.
What prompted my review, though, was that I discovered two moldy blueberries in my salad. To be honest, that completely put me off my food. I reported it immediately, and they offered a brief apology, but it came across as rather annoyed, which I found disappointing in retrospect.
The service was otherwise fine, as everyone was quite friendly.
Price-wise, I think the desserts were reasonable, but the salad was, in my opinion, too expensive for what was actually on the plate.
Therefore, I would only really recommend it for the desserts (perhaps the fish and chips are better, but unfortunately I didn't try them and can't comment on that).
Hope this helps a little :)
01/03/2026: A travesty!! Warning*** they dont have proper chippy chips!!!
Such a shame as the fish was lovely, crispy, even batter, very nice but oven style chips which are horrible and unexpected from a fish n chippery!! Chips are a big part of the dish and oven ones aint right so i'd not return or recommend based on that. Staff and atmospere great and i liked that they serve alcohol too

Quinlan's Fish
Tralee
01/04/2026: Good atmosphere despite the unreasonable price for the quantity and taste. The salmon tasted like it had been frozen and the squid was tasteless. €50 for 2 people.
30/01/2026: Had the fish and chips. The food was only okay, the fish was great but the chips were only so and so. The staff were very nice, but it was raining and I nearly fell twice because of a slippery floor.

The Laurels
Killarney
25/07/2025: Food was good, but the portions rather small. The desert was a joke, we ordered the crumble and it was completely soggy and a tiny piece - absolutely not worth it. Service was good.
24/07/2025: Husband and I chose this pub while visiting Killarney. We love authentic Irish food so this place really hit the spot.
When we walked in, we were told that they didn’t have any tables left and they were completely full. There were a couple seats at the bar thankfully so we asked if we could sit there and eat, she said yes.
The two young guys behind the bar gave us some drinks quickly, waitress took our food order a few minutes later.
We decided to share the mini potato cakes (€8.95), which were pretty much mashed potatoes mixed with chicken and bacon, and then covered in bread crumbs and fried. It was covered in a mushroom creme sauce which was really good, with a small salad on the side (if you can call it that, it was really a couple pieces of lettuce, a single grape tomato and a drizzle of dressing)
My husband got the fish and chips (€17.70) which honestly was probably the best fish and chips he’s had so far during our trip. I was a little jealous of his food after I tried some of his. The fish was almost melt-in-your-mouth quality. Soooo good. I would go back just to eat that fish again.
I got the spinach and ricotta ravioli (€20.95) which came with a tomato and basil crème sauce, some garlic bread, and a handful of arugula on top. The pasta itself tasted good (jealous of the fish!) but the garlic bread was so crispy (not burnt) that it was almost too hard to chew. The dish would have been fine without the ‘salad garnish’.
The only thing I would point out is that obviously the pub is very busy, and it didn’t look like they had an ample amount of seating, but they must have turned away at least 20-30 people because the back of the pub was closed (due to a large party maybe?) and they just couldn’t find a place for those people to sit. So I guess we got there at just the right time?
Whatever - I would still go back JUST for the fish and chips ❤️
