23/06/2025: I've been a regular, so has my family and we quite enjoyed the food in this place until it became consistently now forgetful,late and food quality not up to standard. I've had cans missing,food late/cold and taking over a 1 hour 30mins saying it's delivered until I phoned to complain and now a delivery cancelled after 15-30mins already waiting. I'd fully recommend ordering from elsewhere now because I WILL NEVER BE ORDERING AGAIN MYSELF

21/05/2025: Nice looking hotel but no air conditioning makes it hot as hell in May. No hotel should be rated 4 stars without AC. All other hotels we have stayed at on this trip had AC.

20/05/2025: went for dinner, no one met our group at the 'wait to be seated' went into the bar, by the restaurant, no acknowledgement by staff...went elsewhere, shocking customer service, staff need training. My group included three customer service managers from the hospitality industry, if i was a mystery shopper, they would have been sacked.

26/03/2025: Food was beyond fantastic. Honestly we were surprised that we had some of the best pasta we had ever had in this hotel restaurant in Tralee. The cannelloni was absolutely to die for. Drink options were varied and extensive. Would love to come back here if only for the food.

24/01/2025: Arrived at this restaurant after walking out of Gallys where we were kept waiting twenty minutes and still nobody came to take our order in an empty restaurant so left.Food was amazing and Service was excellent, very efficient waitresses who were friendly and attentive.Food was beautiful, steak sandwich was very tasty and nice to find a strip loin steak in my steak sandwich and not grizzle like some places ,Guinness was good ,my Partner had Chicken which she enjoyed and everything was served warm and fresh.The cheesecake desert was the only dull moment ,a bit tasteless and if not for the caramel sauce would have been brutal .Nice to come out midweek and get nice decent food and drink with proper service.Menu selection is far superior to Gallys with alot more choice and better value.

25/06/2025: The food here is really delicious, at least when eating in, it's just sometimes service is hit and miss in terms of forgetting stuff or mixing orders. They're very nice staff though, so they'll help you with no issue but it's the only downside here.

24/05/2025: Acabamos de llegar a la casa de Eva y decidimos probarlo y estamos muy contentos de que lo hicimos: la comida y el servicio eran geniales. Al ser un bar y un restaurante temíamos que pudiera ser ruidoso o tener televisores por todas partes, pero afortunadamente no lo hizo, tenía un ambiente encantador y tranquilo y nosotros y nuestros compañeros comensales pudimos tener conversaciones sin tener que luchar contra ningún ruido de fondo fuerte. La comida está todo recién preparado y delicioso. Esta joya de un lugar merece una visita si usted está en la zona.

01/05/2025: Nous nous sommes rendus dans ce restaurant suivant les avis dans trip advisor. Accueil inexistente a l'entrée, et Accueil très désagréable à l'intérieur. Nous sommes partis immédiatement.

21/04/2025: Personal muy grosero y antipático, no muy acogedor. He comido aquí en numerosas ocasiones, pero tristemente mi reciente visita no voy a volver debido a la trabajadora anciana desagradable.

08/06/2025: We ate here one night later than planned, didn't have reservations, but we were seated upstairs at a table by the window. They easily handled my wife's dairy allergy with her meal selection. The service was excellent. They also had live music downstairs. This restaurant was near the hotel we were staying so very convenient.

31/05/2025: The welcome in the restaurant on the first floor is simply wonderful. The staff is super friendly, and the food is also delicious. A very pleasant restaurant.

12/07/2025: Tuvimos un gran almuerzo aquí. La sopa de calabaza estaba excelente y disfruté el sándwich de jamón y queso tostado. La camarera nos hizo sentir muy bienvenidos.

22/03/2025: Personal grosero, no serviría "no residentes" Fuimos a caminar - en el almuerzo después de visitar Torc Waterfall y Muckross House y Abbey. Nos informó que es resdients solo a pesar de ofrecer reservas en línea para no residentes. En ese momento había muchas mesas dentro y fuera disponibles no hay absolutamente ninguna necesidad de rechazar el servicio. Gasta tu dinero en otra parte.

14/06/2025: Angry, rude bartender accusing people of stealing glasses he claims are “5 euro a pop” and refusing service on said baseless claim. Was made to feel extremely uncomfortable despite frequenting the place often since I have moved to the village. He showed a nasty side to a woman having a quiet drink alone.

08/01/2025: One of the nicest pubs I've been to. Great history and atmosphere is always welcoming with a very good pint of Guinness. Worth traveling to if your in the Kerry area

04/05/2025: Entré por el cumpleaños de mi madre, el barman Denis fue extremadamente grosero, me dijo “tienes que ser rápido cariño” cuando decidimos qué tomas queríamos, le pedí que por favor no usara este tono conmigo, ya que me pareció extremadamente condescendiente, ya que estaba haciendo gestos con las manos mientras decía esto. Unos 20 minutos después mi familia y yo estábamos en el bar hablando riendo y pasándolo bien y el mismo bar le pidió a mi prima que “bajara la voz, hay gente tratando de comer” ¿Estábamos en el bar? ¿Y no había nadie comiendo a nuestro alrededor? ¿Todo lo que hacía era reírse? Situación muy muy incómoda para todos nosotros. Además de todo esto las pintas de Carlsberg eran planas y cálidas Muy, muy insatisfechos y honestamente estábamos molestos dejando

28/04/2025: Los niños disfrutaron del menú infantil y los tamaños de las porciones eran perfectos. Tenía las fajitas; porciones muy sabrosas y enormes. Mi única queja es que la salsa/crema agria/guacamole fueron servidas en pequeños recipientes de plástico. Con Killarney liderando el camino contra los envases de una sola ración esto me sacudió un poco.

02/07/2025: Ordered a steak sandwich with a pot of tea. Tea arrived very promptly. Before food arrived, same waiter asked if I would like more tea. Whilst opening the lid of the tea pot. He saw I hadn't drank any and decided to answer his own question and proceeded away from me. I had to make three attempts to gain his attention. I asked him to replace the pot of tea with a fresh pot. He asked me if I would like water while I waited. I declined. He asked again. I declined. He asked are you sure. I said yes.he took the pot of tea away. He returned immediately with a plate, which I did not order. Which consisted of an overcooked steak, a spoonful of carrot puree, one miniature onion, some kind of absurd looking sausage with a strange green in the core and, pepper sauce. I sampled the plate before the tea arrived. Soon after. I informed him I asked for a steak sandwich. ( which comes with mushroom onion and French fries.) As I was hungry. I reluctantly decided to accept the plate. And, I ordered French fries. A waitress arrived with fried potatoes as a means to pleasing me. By now I was most annoyed. I told her I asked for French fries. The sausage like yokes and carrot puree were a taste, mismatch beyond rational explanation. The pepper sauce had a horrible twang taste. I considered cancelling over and over whilst waiting for the fries. But hunger overcame. The fries arrived and I ate the onion,and steak with them. I left the mismatch items on the plate. The bill arrived of €30.25 was delivered while I was eating. We didn't charge for the fries. By now I felt really belittled. I promptly paid and left.

16/07/2025: Dined here 10/7/25 - 2 adults + 1 child. While the food could be considered average to good it was very overpriced at €100+ Fortunately we were using a gift voucher, which softened the blow somewhat, but overall most disappointing. The service was awful on the day as we waited almost an hour for food to arrive despite not being busy at the time. Don't like pointing the finger at staff but having young untrained/inexperienced staff reflects badly on management especially with those high prices. Yes we did make a complaint, but a half hearted apology didn't really cut it for us & no compensatory gesture offered While normally we would leave a tip we reluctantly did not do so on this occasion & most definitely will not be returning after this most disappointing experience. Need to up your game big time if you want to survive in this demanding business and stop taking customers for granted.
