02/04/2025: We had the pleasure of an outstanding meal at Ashes restaurant during our stay in Dingle. It was our most delicious dinner of our weeklong visit to Ireland where we enjoyed a lot of good food. The restaurant is homey and comfortable with very friendly, genuine service. I so enjoyed the poached pear and blue cheese salad as well as the cracked crab claws - they were absolutely incredible! Others in our party liked the mussels and the risotto which was very special. We only ordered one meringue for dessert which was a huge mistake bc it was absolutely delicious and we were all fighting over it! Just a lovely evening. Thank you.

01/04/2025: I decided to bring myself on a solo date for dinner in Jacks. It was daunting going solo but I had the loveliest experience. The waiting staff made me so welcome and were attentive without being invasive, the food was lovely and they accommodated a special order. It was made even more special by the magical piano playin of JP, a pure joy and a gentleman. JP plays here Thur- Sun and OMG is he worth the visit to hear. Oh and the view from the restaurant onto the sea is AMAZING. I will be back again for sure, again and again.

16/03/2025: Very good food and very kind waiting staff. However, the sodas were completely flat. We told our attendant and she changed it, but when we ordered the next one, we faced the same issue. The soft drinks are brought to the table in glasses, already poured and no sign of the can/bottle. Bottled/canned drinks should be brought to the table in their closed bottle/can. If that little but important detail was observed, the place would deserve a 5.

23/09/2024: My mum is a kerry woman born and bread. She lives in another part of the country now. Every year 4 ladys come down and travel round kerry all lost there husbands. All they do is eat out and visit friends , the best thing is eating out one a day and it's there high light of the day. One day last week they went in to your over priced pub restaurant and had a meal mum had the lamb shank it was so embarrassing to eat mum's got her own teeth well this was so tough it was like leather. Her sister in law sent it back for her so she got bacon and cabbage instead well it was not nice if your going to serve food in Ireland in an over priced pub please please do it properly people deserve it so people please eat somewhere else not a tourist destination. This is from a chef of 48 years . So the mum eat in a decent place .

02/04/2025: The place was amazing and we hoped for the nice enjoyable food but… We ordered gnocchi and on the menu it said they are served with pine nuts. We couldn’t find a single pine nut in our portions. The food itself wasn’t tasty and we left half full plates. Then we ordered an apple pie, instead we got an apple crumble which was also left on the table. Sad that this wonderful place has such poor food.

21/03/2025: We had the most wonderful Sunday meal at this restaurant! I went for the bacon and cabbage, and it was absolutely delicious. My boyfriend had the beef and Guinness stew and he couldn’t stop raving about how good it was. The staff were exceptional too! Gearoid was such great craic and really added to the lively atmosphere. Ellen and Izzy were equally fantastic. The staff were always smiling and attentive, even though the place was clearly buzzing with customers. Despite how busy it was, they made sure we felt taken care of. All in all, a fantastic dining experience with great food and a warm, friendly team.

01/04/2025: Llegué poco después de las 12 del día de la madre, como era de esperar estaba ocupado, poner nuestros nombres y consiguió buscapersonas para esperar, unos 25 minutos en (estábamos preparados para esperar, el tiempo era bueno) , había 3 mesas desocupadas que podía ver por edades, y ninguno estaba siendo aclarado. El personal era muy muy agradable, pero joven e inexperto, sin poder quitar platos de la mesa durante la entrega del próximo curso, volviendo con las manos vacías. Un funcionario dejó caer una carga de vasos por toda la mesa y tres niñas se sentaron a la mesa. Necesitan a alguien más experimentado para entrenarlos. Los ingredientes para las tortitas saladas también deben haberse quedado cortos, ya que era caro para lo que obtienes. El café estaba bien, probablemente no volverá para ser honesto.

30/03/2025: He estado viniendo aquí durante 15 años y después de mi experiencia esta vez nunca volveré. No había mesas despejadas en todo el restaurante. Esperamos unos 10 minutos para sentarnos inicialmente. Tuve que pedir que limpiaran la mesa. Tuve que solicitar menús y solicitar que nos tomaran el pedido. No estaba ni la mitad de ocupado de lo que lo había visto anteriormente. El personal era muy joven y no sabía cómo ser camarera o tener conocimiento del menú. Los baños estaban sucios. El grifo del lavabo no funcionaba, así que no podía lavarse las manos en el baño femenino. Después de 45 minutos, nos informaron de que nuestro pedido había ‘desaparecido’ sin disculpas, etc. Esto era un lugar al que esperaba traer a mis propios hijos y fue una visita decepcionante.

22/07/2024: Locals to Tralee myself and my husband came in for dinner. Service was very speedy and the food was delicious. My only criticism is that mashed potatoes should be served with roast beef. I was given a baked potato. It was still very tasty. Will definitely return

08/07/2024: First visit . Great menu. We were 5 adults and 3 kids. There was something for everyone . All food was perfectly cooked. Waiter very attentive. Unusually not very chatty for a Kerryman. But all was good. Good value considering the quality.

19/07/2024: Service was very slow waited over an hour for our first course. Food was over salted and over priced. Dessert was bland first and last vist.

06/07/2024: Once again, we totally enjoyed our evening with you. From fantastic fish n chips, tasty tuna tostada, sizzling medium rare steak and crispy crab fries, our group left loving everything. Your team is friendly and attentive. Keep doing what you’re doing as it works well!

06/05/2025: Nett und sauber, Kuchen und Kaffee sehr lecker mit großer Auswahl. Der Service sehr nett, alle Tische wurden umgehend abgeräumt und gewischt. Auch gab es draußen einen schönen Bereich im Freien und mit Schatte , dort allerdings Achtung vor den Krähen, wenn man auch Kuchen auf dem Tablett hat.

21/05/2025: Tuvimos una maravillosa segunda experiencia en el restaurante de alta cocina de este encantador hotel. El personal era eficiente y servicial con nuestras elecciones de comida y a todos les encantó su comida. Las bebidas también fueron bien presentadas.

03/05/2025: Bus tour stopped for lunch along with another- place was overwhelmed but was able to seat most quickly. I was given a high seat in the back with a small shelf as a table surface-couldn't climb on the chair- had to wait for a table- I was afraid I wouldn't make it back to the bus in time. I ordered a bean dish- as you can see from the photo all gone-it was delicious.

01/04/2025: My and I had had just made some new acquaintances when we got on the bus for the Ring of Kerry tour. This was the first stop on the tour where we all sat and enjoyed an Irish coffee and got to know each other. Great start to the full day tour!
