The Blue Bull in Sneem

Gorgeous food and lovely staff.

Being quite picky about restaurants, this is one I can really recommend. Really good, fresh, thoughtfully prepared food and a great atmosphere created by the people working there. A very genuine place with tasty food and more than fair prices for the quality, portions, and ambience. Forgot to make photos but i took chowder and fish - they were fantastic.

Food was class. Duck wings were exceptional. Pork ribs cooked really well and falling off the bone. Highly recommend to anyone passing through!

Absolutely excellent food for reasonable prices and with great service. Would love if they lowered the lights and gave it a bit more atmosphere, but the food is what shines here.

We stumbled upon this place today while driving the Ring of Kerry and were thrilled! The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The service was very friendly and welcoming (but they won't be there much longer 😭). Highly recommended!!!

Everything was delicious! The Atlantic salmon and lamb were incredibly tender.

I must say, the rating I gave was only average because as they say, you are only as good as your last meal. Stayed in Sneem for 3 weeks and we must have eaten in the Blue Bull 8 or 9 times. But here is the thing, there is absolutely no consistency in food or service. Anytime we ate at the weekend, Fri/Sat or Sun the food was amazing, quick, hot, delicious and the service was on point, but anytime we went midweek, Wednesday or Thursday, its like there is a different crew working, especially in the kitchen, because the wait on food is 2 or 3 times longer than on the weekend when you would expect it to be longer, as its the weekend, but its completely the opposite, and the floor staff looked under severe pressure when it wasnt overly busy. Shout out to the Dutch waitress ( my Husband is Dutch) I dont quite get her name, maybe Karen/Kate? She was a delight, every time she served us. Also, speaking of service the guys behind the bar, hard to get a drink when the tall guy was constantly on his phone, and seemed bothered by having t serve us, and the other guy, smaller tight haircut fella......hate to say this, but a few times he served us, the smell of BO (body odour) was horrific. No place for that in hospitality. All in all, a mixed review which is sad because the place has so much potential.

Very fresh seafood from the local caught. Maches well with Irish potatoes.

We got takeway back to our cottage in Tahilla.. absolutely beautiful food! The quality of the meat 👌👌❤️

It was very tasty. The staff is very friendly and fast. The lamb and steak were simply incredibly tasty.
