The best restaurants in Sneem

07/05/2026: Wonderful Pub with a great chef in Sneem offering a constantly rotating menu of classic dishes, including their famous Fish Pie, Fish and Chips, Kerry Beef Stew, Scampi, Goulash. Great food, very popular with local clientele and passing tourists who are lucky enough to chance upon it. Reservations for evening dining is recommended as it’s always busy. Dog friendly (as long as they’re well behaved!) which can be difficult to find in this part of the world.

31/03/2026: I absolutely have hated lamb until I had it here their stew and the salmon salad are absolutely delicious. The lamb stew is the best I have ever tasted. Does not taste like lamb. It was delicious. And the smoked salmon salad is also delicious. 1000%recommended.

If you think a chef—a skilled professional—is going to cook you a high-quality meal for pocket change when their own costs are upwards of €20–€30 per household head, you’re living in a fantasy land. The Lowdown: The Food: It’s incredible. Fresh fish, crab claws that actually taste like the ocean, and portions that don't leave you hungry. This is a family-run gem, not a factory. The Vibe: Proper traditional Irish hospitality. Cosy, warm, and authentic. The Price Tag: Expect to pay €50–€60 per person for a full experience. The Verdict: Ireland is not a cheap country. Quality costs money. If you can’t afford to pay for the talent in the kitchen and the atmosphere of a place like Sacre Coeur, you have two very simple options: Get a job that pays better. Go to McDonald’s. The Euro Saver menu exists for a reason and it suits some people just fine. But if you want a real dinner in a gorgeous village like Sneem, stop complaining and pay the price for the quality you're getting. If you don't like it, go elsewhere.
