I've tried fish and chips at many different restaurants, but this was the first time I'd seen it in breadcrumbs. It was a little surprising to me to be honest, but once I tried it, I realized it was actually less oily and lighter, and more crunchy than the traditional battered fish. The homemade tartar sauce was tasty, and the price was reasonable, and the tables were clean. The service was nice as well. It’s not exactly proper fish and chips since it’s made with breadcrumbs instead of traditional batter, but it was still tasty enough for me to recommend it to someone. Thank you for making our part of the journey better.

Stopped in Sneem and decided to get fish and chips, got the scampi - unbelievable! And the staff was absolutely lovely and so welcoming. This is a gorgeous little restaurant!

We ordered chips and fish to go. Five minutes later, we were able to enjoy a generous portion of fries and two good portions of fish each. It came with mayonnaise and lemon. Nothing to complain about. 😋

Fantastic takeaway with an open stove fire. My only complaint is the chips could be better if they were home cut.

The fish and ships were good, but the breading could be a little bit thicker. I would have also wished for proper plates and cutlery. But everything else was fine

Shrimp scampi the batter was falling off and soggy. The actual prawns themselves were decent tough. Just not much flavour. Stingy portion of chips for the kids meal and they don't do batter sausage for it. Better off getting the regular chips and batter sausage. That was also fairly small. They also don't put salt and vinegar on your chips like every other chipper in the country. Said it to the lady and she just just gave packets and said we think people like to do it themselves. No that's a fundamental part of an irish chipper. It was also €16 and so was the fish and chips. Pretty steep. Alright if you don't want to go somewhere else. They did seem to have a decent place to sit in if it wanted. I got takeaway.

07/05/2026: Wonderful Pub with a great chef in Sneem offering a constantly rotating menu of classic dishes, including their famous Fish Pie, Fish and Chips, Kerry Beef Stew, Scampi, Goulash. Great food, very popular with local clientele and passing tourists who are lucky enough to chance upon it. Reservations for evening dining is recommended as it’s always busy. Dog friendly (as long as they’re well behaved!) which can be difficult to find in this part of the world.
