21/05/2026: The hotel is a wonderful place, historic. The food they offer is really good. So far the good things. I asked for a room with sea view and got the information that it will have view. Well. See a picture from my window. I didn't mean that! The rooms are expectable old. Nothing to complain here. But there is no sound isolation. We were able to here everything from the next room. TV, water tap, shower, toilet. Regarding the service. There were three women in service two younger ones, who walk through the restaurant looking to the ground, barely seeing guests contact wishes for drinks or coffee in the morning. The 3rd women, a stronger one, was amazing. She definitely loves her job. It was fun talking with her and getting her recommendations for the order was Gold. Sorry for this review.

14/05/2026: We stayed two nights as a family. The hotel is superb, retaining its original charm, with very large, comfortable, and clean rooms. The restaurant is the only one open and offers good quality food. The staff is friendly. We highly recommend it.

20/09/2026: A friendly pub with amazing views over the bay. Live music every Saturday night, not necessarily trad Irish. We enjoyed overnight parking in our motorhome - ask first. Limited but varied food is served.

13/08/2026: Killarney Royal Townhouse was definitely the highlight of our trip. The service was outstanding, the room was incredible, and food was delicious. A personalized note and local treats were left for us when we arrived. We also received fresh scones at check out! These came in handy on a long train ride. The front desk staff was helpful at check in and with a small issue with the room window. For this very small inconvenience they offered us drinks in the restaurant another night. The turndown service with fresh water each night made us even more relaxed after long days exploring. Breakfast each morning was delicious. We enjoyed the made to order breakfast which was a nice treat after other hotels we stayed at. Also the location was perfect because you are walking distance to everything, but outside of all the activity. Everything was 5 star service! Thank you for making our stay so memorable.

05/10/2026: Sad how this turned out cuz it could have been great. We stayed in the rooms for 2 nights. The location is great; but the bedding in the family room smelt like a teenage boys bedroom… The room was spotless besides the bedding, like the comforter in the one bed wasn’t washed in months… The staff well that’s another story. The lads at the bar especially the young kid with the curly hair with a jeep, he’s so kind and genuinely cares about ppl. The female manager is miserable. So rude. And def doesn’t care for her customers… an older couple was having troubles with their room, we didn’t know them and she painted us with the same brush! They left the keys to everyone’s room just In the door and the older American lady was worried about it… she had a little hissy fit, miserable said, (with major inconvenience) I’ll go look, we have no crime here… (well honey, u are welcome strangers from around the world to share there u might not have crime in ur community but doesn’t mean one of the strangers staying in one of the rooms isn’t going to investigate) my only concern was that one of the staff members would get in trouble for leaving them there…) Anyway, it was a great stay we would stay again but certainly wouldn’t give her the time of day. Shame on her for being in hospitality and being so rude to your customer, we’re ur bread and butter honey! The room had the tiniest tv in the world lol! Also the staff are clueless when it comes to the accommodations.. no one knew anything, also didn’t know when management would be in… The food was bloody awful! And def didn’t eat there again. Once was enough… The bay is beautiful!

15/08/2026: I had a fantastic four-night stay here with my partner and cannot recommend it enough. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. The check-in was incredibly easy and speedy, and the warm check-out perfectly wrapped up our trip. When booking, we were initially concerned about being away from the main tourist area in Killarney, but as soon as we arrived, we knew we had made the absolute best choice. The hotel is wonderfully quaint and situated in a quiet area, which provided the most beautiful, calm ambience when sitting outside. We used the hotel as our home base for various day trips, and every single return to the hotel felt like being welcomed home. The food was delicious throughout our stay, and we loved having the variety of both bar and finer dining options available. A huge thank you to the staff, who went above and beyond with their hospitality with Jersey and Iggy who were especially great and made our stay extra special. If you are considering booking this hotel, do not worry for a second about it not being right in the center of town; honestly, that is its biggest perk! We would definitely recommend this to anyone, and we can’t wait to come back.

08/08/2026: The Killeen House gave our group a high-class, one of a kind experience. Rozzers restaurant offered excellent breakfast and dinner menus with dishes to die for. The rooms were charming and comfortable. The outdoor grounds of the estate were pristine with a grass patio and breathtaking view. The best part of the experience was the hospitality from the staff its self. Highlighting brothers Xhersi and Egli. Two extremely impressive young men who single-handedly elevated my families experience in a multitude of different ways. Both of which showed humility and professionalism. A kind that simply can’t be taught. Overall The Killeen House was a memorable experience that my family and I will never forget. I’d give it 500 stars if I could.

03/07/2026: I regularly go there as I like their coffee. Salads are amazing and they do small bowls. A good bit of bar space to sit when alone and a lovely terrace when the sun is out.

13/09/2026: Not a good night. Ordered a rare steak, got medium to well done. On complaining was told that ‘chef says it is rare’. Then it transpired that I had been given the wrong steak meant for another table. The waiter offered to replace it with a blue steak which I gratefully accepted. When it came it was identical to the original, medium to well done. Hence dry and without any juice. I said I would accept it, because by now my partner had finished her meal, (ribs, which in fairness was fine - hence the extra star), and I was hungry and didn’t want to spend the rest of my evening ordering a procession of steaks. Was not offered any reduction in the bill, or even a complimentary drink. All in all a disaster. Shame really, as it was clearly a decent piece of meat prior to cremation.

29/06/2026: Food was top notch! The seafood chowder was full of fresh fish, the cod was amazing and the chips were the best we've had!

16/06/2026: Great local hotel in Killorglan. Very friendly. Clean rooms. Great food. Room was very hot as we were blessed with good weather but besides that it was perfect.

28/04/2026: The food was excellent, didn’t stay in the accommodation but would highly recommend for a lovely meal. The sizzling prawns and pan fried hake was beautiful.

05/10/2026: Went here for dinner after a long day. Ordered 2 dishes off the daily menu. Soup which was fine. Lamb which was drowned in gravy and I was treated like an imbecile when I asked for mint sauce, a routine condiment to be served with lamb. I couldn't eat the main course so went to pay. I was asked the usual "Was everything ok?" and I said it wasn't and why. The cashier then started arguing with me and eventually brought out a manager, not at my request. The manager advised that they had run out of mint sauce and would usually have it, a fact the staff seemed completely unaware of. The uneaten main course was clearly visible on the table and I was charged for it, which meant I paid €34.50 for a bowl of soup. There are so many good alternatives in Kenmare, I can only recommend going to any of the other restaurants instead of this one. I am a chauffeur/tour guide and eat out almost every night. This was an appalling experience and the worst I have seen, by far. I've just noticed the owners response, best summarised as disingenuous and self-serving nonsense. I amswered the "was everything alright?" question and was dismissed in a disrespectful and confrontational way by a member of staff who apparently didn't know what mint sauce was. My opinion remains that there are many superior venues in Kenmare and I will not waste my money in this place again.

02/10/2026: The P.F. McCarthy's is a very good pub/restaurant with limited dining options, BUT the Nachos with beef are absolutely worth a try. The beer options are various. Staff is very nice and helpful.

04/09/2026: Great little café with really friendly staff and excellent coffee. Always a nice atmosphere and a lovely place to stop when you’re in Killarney. Definitely recommend! ☕

19/05/2026: Foley's is an exceptional hotel in Killlarny Ireland! Celebrating 77 years. Staff really took great care of us, so appreciate it! Food was delicious, we had breakfast added. So worth it. Do stay there if you go to Killlarny, such a great location as well!
