The best restaurantsof irish in Kerry

24/08/2025: I was very excited to try this place unfortunately it fell very short on the expectations. This was probably our only bad meal in out 9 day trip in ireland. We were sat at a very small table in the back where I barely had space to move back my chair to sit without hitting the person behind me I ordered the chowder and lamb duo, my husband ordered scallops and and a beef dish. Starters were ok. Nothing really wrong with them. The main courses my lamb was very disappointing, it was both overcooked and stone cold, the taste was also off like if it was made in the same pan with fish and not well seasoned. The beef dish was also lacking in seasoning, fat was not rendered. Definitely not a meal worth the price. We decided to skip desert waiters were polite but service was not the best, I did not get a meat knife like my husband did, dishes were very cramped on the table and waiters were having a hard time getting things on and off the table, very awkward.

19/08/2025: The best place in Kenmare, in my and my wife's opinion. The food was delicious, and the service was great. It has the perfect atmosphere, too.

24/08/2025: A really nice and good restaurant. I had the ribs myself, and they were excellent! The local beer was also very good! It's a bit pricey, but highly recommended!

01/08/2025: A fantastic hotel with wonderful, helpful, and friendly staff. The ladies at the reception desk are the perfect ambassadors for this excellent hotel. The breakfast is extensive and, unlike many hotels in this class, offers delicious, freshly baked bread.

23/08/2025: What a magnificent place to stay. The staff are always on hand to give you great advice on activities on the island and help with any questions you might have. The bar is an amazing place to eat too! Highly highly recommended. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

02/08/2025: Expensive. Grand food, typical pub food, limited enough menu. I live in Dublin, a big capital city. I didn't expect a small country pub to be more expensive than Dublin. I have never seen fish and chips for 24 euro on a pub grub menu!! Everything else 20-22. Food was fine.but really a bit too greedy. Staff pleasant, service ok

27/07/2025: We found this place to be way overpriced, food quality average, Service friendly and efficient. We will not be back. There are many better options in Listowel.

05/09/2025: The food was delicious! We arrived with no reservation at around 8pm, and they were able to seat us within ten minutes. Had a lovely drink at the bar while waiting. The service is outstanding, everyone was so friendly and helpful. Thank you for a lovely dinner.

31/08/2025: Lovely place, delicious food, cute little booths. Staff were super friendly and the atmosphere was lovely. We had a T-Bone steak & Chicken Burger, would recommend.

09/08/2025: We only ate there, and I regret it. I spent the whole night in the bathroom. There was something wrong with the food. We had the sea bass and the lamb chops. An entire day of vacation was lost.

08/08/2025: The staff are lovely and the drinks are good. However, there are three evil men that have colonised the space. They are all balding and middle aged. Most likely single. They are terrible at darts, however, they insist on using the dart board exclusively for several hours and being incredibly rude and aggressive to anyone who wants to share the dart board. Especially women. I have attached a photo so you can see what they look like. Again, the staff are lovely only these men are the issue.

14/08/2025: Had dinner here last night with my wife. She had the risotto and I had the mackerel starters they were both superb. We both had hake for our main course with mussels in a creamy sauce. It came with new potatoes and we supplemented with fries coated in truffles and Parmesan. I commented that I knew every song on the playlist and the staff gave me a copy of it! Great and lovely atmosphere for a relatively small place. Love the idea of 2 sittings. Well worth a pilgrimage! Dessert was great too! Milseán from Milesian! I look forward to doing that again. Next time my wife will be driving!

31/08/2025: Nice relaxed Sunday evening dinner in a warm and relaxing space on Market Street in the historic and pretty town of Listowel. Being local, we find Éabha Joan's convenient, but it would be worth travelling further for also. I was very pleased with a light but flavoursome mushroom soup, which on this damp wet Autumn day was served welcomingly hot. We both enjoyed our main courses of pork steak and roast beef.. The beef was beautifully tender, and was accompanied by a delicious onion tinged gravy, with sauted onion running through it. Staff are pleasant, and the clientele are mainly pleasant local people, with a degree of decorum and vocal restraint befitting a quite intimate space. I would highly recommend it, it is in my opinion, alongside Lizzies Little Kitchen in the day time, the best good food option in Listowel.

04/07/2025: Amazing fresh perfectly cooked food. Lovely people. Recommend the local Annuscull belly of pork dish. Ten out of ten. A wide range of deli options salads and fresh sourdough bread. Beautiful cakes.
