11/07/2025: A lovely stop on the Ring of Kerry. Enjoy a coffee and pastry and continue exploring.

10/07/2025: We stop here for a beer and a light lunch. It looks like they sell hot drinks, soft drinks and wine, no beer. Ok, sparkling water is probably a healthier option. The pies and quiches look great. We would like to order some but the lady bevind the hot food counter completely ignored us. We assumed you have to order at the cashier. A family is being served there so we wait patiently. Once they are done, the cashier excuses herself and disappears into the kitchen. We wait and wait... After some time other guests arrive, and to our surprise are allowed to order at the hot food counter. We are still waiting for the cashier, in front of the new guests in the queue. After more than 10 minutes of waiting the cashier has still not returned. We decide to leave. We cycled on to the Strawberry Fields pancake restaurant a few km down the road. Good choice. Great, friendly service, cold beer and fantastic pancakes!

12/07/2025: Great service and manager was very nice. Food was decent. It was a little expensive in comparison to similar restaurants we had been to.

08/07/2025: Cottage pie was perfect. Dessert was tasty, but the bread was a bit dry.

22/05/2025: This restaurant always manages to serve top class satisfying meals and I can’t resist their excellent desserts!. I often buy their apple or berry tarts to take away as they are unique for taste and perfect for a special occasion. The staff is always pleasantly attentive and the chef/cook knows all about presenting lovely tasty meals. Well done to the Country Market team for very high standards in value and great flavors.

24/05/2025: Gorgeous hotel, very luxurious rooms. Plenty hot water for a lovely bath and big comfy bed. Joan was very kind and accommodating. Great location beside amusements and beaches.

07/04/2025: Best small cosy boutique Reastraunt in de middle of de town, Namirs n Kay are brilliant hosts, very Accommodating special if something a family wit kids want, "I can do soups toasties salads" no rubbish as a cheap alternative!! etc great quality food n veg. 13/06/2025: Today was my first time at MJ'S. I ordered a burger and homemade fries and curry sauce. I ordered food on the spot. After ordering, I sat down at the table to wait for the food. In the meantime, cleaning started around me (I was an hour before the restaurant closed). They started vacuuming (a great feeling and smell when the vent is pointing in your direction). Imagine my surprise when I got the food packed in a bag. When choosing the bag, I said that I ordered on the spot, but after they started cleaning the restaurant, I didn't feel like eating on the spot. I decided that I would eat in my car, parked near the restaurant (I must point out that I hate it and usually don't eat in my car), and here again, surprise, because in the bag, apart from the food, there was no salt, tissues or fork. As for the food, I liked the burger and I think it would be even better if I didn't eat it in the car. The fries were ok, but not my cup of tea. The curry sauce was ok, but I prefer it a bit more runny. This one was too thick for me. Much too thick. I doubt I'll go back there because I didn't feel well served there.

05/09/2024: Had the most amazing meal in this little gem. Food was fantastic, service was excellent & the atmosphere was so relaxing. The food was of the highest quality & so tasty. Would definitely recommend this place & we will definitely be back next season.

13/05/2025: This was a campervan stopover for us . Big level space to park overnight . Great views , great Guinness and great food . Well worth a stopover and the most reasonable prices for food and pints in Ireland .

27/04/2025: Superb setting and probably the best value food & drink in Ireland. Guinness & Murphys for example €4.50 a pint, and it was excellent. The seafood platter was great, the crab in particular was as fresh as it could possibly be. Young lads running bar were, fast and great craic. The bedrooms are small but very clean & cosy, I would definitely stay again. Breakfast was freshly cooked and again, very tasty. All in all, cost, location, quality and friendliness, combine to make Helens Bar an absolute gem

27/05/2025: We had a birthday brunch at the Granary in Midleton last week. The place was buzzing, which was great to see. We sat outside and our orders came quickly. The food was delicious and our server was quick, friendly and had a great sense of humour! A great place to meet friends and family for a meal! well done Jack and team.
