The staff was extremely nice and the atmosphere was at 10/10. Ordered a Hot Chocolate and an Avocado Toast It was gorgeous. Definitely I'll come back

I ordered Caramel latte and egg& avocado toast. Caramel latte was perfect. It was not too sweet. Toast was delicious. The egg was boiled perfectly. The waiters were very polite and a local was beautiful.

We just ordered Coffee and some desert. We got our coffee and no sign of our deserts. When we went to pay as we needed to catch a train, the girl arrived with our deserts and one melted ice cream. We explained we had ordered them over a half hour ago and needed to leave. They were very understanding about it and apologised. Lovely spot to sit outside and watch the day go by

This is a harder review, my food was great but my husbands was not. They seem to do large brunch portions if you go for a meat dish. The single vegan dish was a single sad slice of toast with avocado and some beans on top on a small side dish. The first time they arrived the beans were ice cold too, so sad single slice of cold food not great. Like it’s so easy to add a second slice of toast to make a better meal. There was paper under the toast too which got all ripped up when he cut up his food. It was just not great and I would tell vegans to go elsewhere.

Excellent place for lunch, always reliable. Popular. Good choice of dishes available throughout the day including breakfast until 3pm. Killarney beers available too so even better. Very comfortable. Eggs Benedict (with baked ham) pictured. 10 euros. Delicious.

The Lakeside Bistro

09/12/2023: I visited Killarney in Winter of 2023 and came to the Lake Hotel. I visited this restaurant thrice when I stayed for my two-night stay. I got fish and chips, full Irish and a cheeseburger during my stay. Food and service is exceptional. Entertainment is on at weekends.
18/11/2023: Amazing experience from the second we walked in to the restaurant. Excellent service, very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Food was excellent and flavours were mouth watering. The steak was cooked to perfection and the sides were just as good. Honestly an outstanding meal. Every bite was devine. Deserts are in a league of their own. Would highly recommend.

05/02/2024: Unreal food and staff was unmatched. Went there on a matchday on a bank holiday weekend so the place was busy and the staff was super friendly and was always there to check if everything was ok. We had a gorgeous fish and chips and a delicious steak sandwich. We shared both plates so my partner and I could try both and we every bite was a “wow”. We also had the lava cake with honeycomb ice cream for dessert and it was the cherry on top. We spent €58 for a steak sandwich, a fish and chips, the dessert, one guinness and one heineken 0.0%
04/02/2024: Don't come here if you want good food. We ordered a mest feast pizza and 3 salmon sandwiches. The pizza was undercooked, with a tasteless dough and little flavor. The sandwiches weren't bad, but nothing out of this world either. They have vegetarian options. On the other hand, if what you want are drinks and live music, it is a pretty good place with an atmosphere that is worth it. Overall, we had a good night at Scott's bar & courtyard but it was because of the band playing live and the atmosphere that day (a couple of birthdays). Depending on what you are looking for, it may be recommended.
