Gally's Bar & Restaurant in Tralee

Food was ok, handy place to stop at when heading home.

I'm only putting a 2 star instead of 3 on service because they don't accept dogs. A pity!

Enjoyed the food very much. Service was a bit disorganised - drinks order taken but never arrived. Food arrived so re-ordered drinks. Third member of staff asked if everything was OK so we mentioned the drinks order again. Food waiter then arrived with the drinks. Curious combination of very attentive waiting staff but completely dropped the ball with the drinks order. Restaurant was busy. Paid the bill at the bar where I waited some time to be dealt as there appeared to be only one person behind the bar. However he was efficient dealing with my payment and was friendly. Overall, excellent food but service a little disorganised.

Fab food and the staff where so nice

We dined at this restaurant in July 2026. Parking is easy, and the lot is large. The interior is pleasant, with a bar and tables spaced far enough apart to allow for conversation. The service wasn't too slow, the dishes were beautifully presented, and the food was delicious. A great place!

Stopped off for lunch today passing through Tralee. Food was typical bar food but good. Staff were very polite and helpful. 100€ for 4 mains, 1 dessert and 2 soft drinks, average value but decent portions. Would definitely stop there again.

Lovely bar and restaurant, food is amazing, fast service, lovely helpful staff, and great prices too

At first glance, it looked like a very modest restaurant— plus we’d read a few negative comments about the service… But our experience with the waitresses and waiters was immaculate, and the food was delicious. We shared a garlic bread with cheese that I’m still dreaming about, then respectively ordered a beef burger and a Caesar salad: the burger was high‑quality and very rich, and the Caesar salad was so huge it was almost hard to finish — if it hadn’t been so good. Definitely recommended.

Great food and service. First visit I will be returning.

We arrived at Gally’s for lunch after a walk and had built up quite an appetite. The warm welcome on arrival was much appreciated. We ordered the roast beef and chicken supreme, and the service was quick. The meal was fresh and very tasty. The beef was soft and tender, while the chicken paired perfectly with the pepper sauce. Highly recommended.
