Cassidy's Restaurant
Tralee
09/07/2026: This place is old school food done well.
It felt like being back at my grandmothers house.
Had the soup and steak and both were delicious. The side veg was great too. Nothing fancy, nice ingredients, well cooked.
There are a few religious statues pictures up around the place but this just enhanced the old school Ireland atmosphere.
08/07/2026: We were in Tralee for the night and went to Cassidys as the reviews were good! The food was delicious, seafood was super fresh and the waiting staff were very friendly. We had the chowder and crab claws to start, and the sea bass and carbonara for mains.
The only downside for me was how slow it was between courses (40 minutes). I understand they were busy, however, other tables around us were getting their main courses much faster than us so it felt as though there may have been a mixup!

The Rose Hotel
Tralee
29/06/2026: Super friendly staff.
Huge thank you the bar men last night especially mason for his kindness and banter with the kids.would really recommend this hotel. Only flaw was
there's no pool other than that perfect holiday. Would highly recommend.
18/06/2026: It is utterly unacceptable that the designated smoking area is positioned directly alongside the main entrance ramp. This layout forces guests, including those with infants in strollers, to navigate through clouds of second-hand smoke just to enter the property. For families traveling with babies or young children, I would strongly advise seeking alternative accommodations. Such a design flaw is entirely unacceptable by modern hospitality standards.

01/08/2026: Hands down the best coffee I had in Ireland. Many vegan options like muffins, cakes and other bakes. Several vegan sandwiches. This place is great for anyone but especially for vegans.

Maddens
Tralee
05/08/2026: I stopped in Tralee this morning and asked a lovely tall young lady where I could find a coffee shop, a good one if possible. She told me about Maddens ,even offered to walk me to it. I found it easy with her directions. Thank you so much. It wasn't a good coffee shop It was a great coffee shop, one of the best. Well worth a finding on your trips to kerry. Great coffee, sweet things and a great social space. Keep up the great work.
26/07/2026: Been here many times, the place is beautiful, and it’s clear a lot of heart goes into it, but the good vibes seem to stop here.
I am always surprised by how indifferent and frosty the service is! No welcome, no good morning! Even when the customer first offers a greeting of hello, or how’s things, barely a response. Definitely not happy faces (today included).
Customer gives thanks when picking up the coffees, no you are welcome, or have a good one from staff. Just frosty silence.
I don’t get how a small town coffee shop gets away with lukewarm customer service. Truly can’t be bothered going here anymore.

Kirby's Brogue Inn
Tralee
28/05/2026: Another Irish pub with great food. But like most pubs we've visited, the meals are quite pricey by Canadian standards. But the food here (as with most pubs) is perfectly prepared and nicely presented. One BIG difference in an Irish pub is the speed of service. It seems no sooner do you order than the meal is brought out. And it never tastes like it's been sitting under warming lamps. Unbelievable service. The Brogue in was even faster than others. And I have to mention our waitress, Shauna, who was exceptional. Very attentive, friendly and helpful. All in all, an amazing dinner experience.
28/05/2026: Excellent service, friendly staff who were busy but made sure we were well looked after.
We had the black and blue burger and the kingdom burger.
Black and blue burger was great, Kingdom burger was fantastic, lots of flavour fresh chicken excellent.

Bella Bia
Tralee
25/08/2026: This was some of the BEST Italian I’ve had (even better than some places we’ve been to in Italy)! We were seated right away without reservations and were dressed in casual wear even though this was a nicer restaurant. The service was amazing and the food/drinks were served so quickly. We had the spinach & ricotta ravioli, penne arrabbiatta, & chocolate fudge cake with vanilla ice cream. I could have eaten the arrabbiata sauce by itself it was so delicious. The chocolate cake was so light and the icing was divine. We each had the house red wine (montepulciano) & a Bailey’s coffee. Even the drinks were perfection. We were just passing through on our way to Dingle and stopped for dinner. We stumbled upon this cute little restaurant because the pizza place we were going to go to ended up being closed & I’m so glad that we did. They had an indoor/outdoor patio area that was so nice to sit in plus 2 dining seating areas and a back bar area. If you are visiting Tralee or passing through, this restaurant is a MUST!!
07/08/2026: Everything perfect, made fresh to order!
