09/07/2026: This place is old school food done well.
It felt like being back at my grandmothers house.
Had the soup and steak and both were delicious. The side veg was great too. Nothing fancy, nice ingredients, well cooked.
There are a few religious statues pictures up around the place but this just enhanced the old school Ireland atmosphere.
08/07/2026: We were in Tralee for the night and went to Cassidys as the reviews were good! The food was delicious, seafood was super fresh and the waiting staff were very friendly. We had the chowder and crab claws to start, and the sea bass and carbonara for mains.
The only downside for me was how slow it was between courses (40 minutes). I understand they were busy, however, other tables around us were getting their main courses much faster than us so it felt as though there may have been a mixup!

18/07/2026: We arrived at Gally’s for lunch after a walk and had built up quite an appetite. The warm welcome on arrival was much appreciated. We ordered the roast beef and chicken supreme, and the service was quick.
The meal was fresh and very tasty. The beef was soft and tender, while the chicken paired perfectly with the pepper sauce.
Highly recommended.

28/05/2026: Another Irish pub with great food. But like most pubs we've visited, the meals are quite pricey by Canadian standards. But the food here (as with most pubs) is perfectly prepared and nicely presented. One BIG difference in an Irish pub is the speed of service. It seems no sooner do you order than the meal is brought out. And it never tastes like it's been sitting under warming lamps. Unbelievable service. The Brogue in was even faster than others. And I have to mention our waitress, Shauna, who was exceptional. Very attentive, friendly and helpful. All in all, an amazing dinner experience.
28/05/2026: Excellent service, friendly staff who were busy but made sure we were well looked after.
We had the black and blue burger and the kingdom burger.
Black and blue burger was great, Kingdom burger was fantastic, lots of flavour fresh chicken excellent.

Jack Mac's Pub

30/05/2026: We had a fantastic time here! We arrived while horse racing was on and asked if they could switch the TV to MotoGP. They were more than happy to do it for us, which we really appreciated.
The guy behind the bar was incredibly friendly and even spoke a little Spanish, which was a lovely surprise. The atmosphere was great, the locals were very welcoming, and there was a fantastic selection of beers at very reasonable prices.
We had a brilliant afternoon watching the race and felt right at home. Highly recommended if you're looking for a friendly pub with great service and a warm atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!
19/04/2026: We stumbled upon this pub completely by chance, and what a pleasant surprise! The atmosphere is very welcoming; we immediately felt at ease. And above all, a fantastic waiter: friendly, smiling, and genuinely interested in France. It was a pleasure chatting with him.

The Pikeman Bar

26/06/2026: We have been eating at the Pikeman Bar for more years than I can count during visits to Tralee. If there is a better place to get bar food then point me to it.
A great menu. The food is always fresh, tasty and hot. The service is always brilliant.
I highly recommend.

A good bit of bar space to sit when alone and a lovely terrace when the sun is out.

04/07/2026: Was so glad we chose this hotel. I was a hot wary with the location but we were so welcomed from the moment we walked into when we walked out. Glad we listened to recommendations that the hotel food was gorgeous and ended up eating the two nights we were there. Kids loved it so much that the eldest said she's going to remember the room number and ask for that room when she's an adult
22/06/2026: Was visiting for a wedding and the location was perfect for what I needed. The room was pretty darn good, though the toilet was a little flakey when it wanted to flush. Receptionist was excellent, really helpful and informative, made it really easy to relax straight away because I trusted I was in good hands

07/05/2026: Pretty hotel in the heart of Dingle. Unfortunately, there is no elevator, but the desk clerk said she’d have someone bring our bags up. When she couldn’t find someone promptly, she carried them up herself. Great service! Our room had a beautiful 4 poster bed and fireplace. We ate in their award winning dining room and were not disappointed. The staff were friendly and engaging. My husband had the best lamb he’s ever eaten, and my fish and chips was the best of the trip. Wonderful stay.

The stay was okay 🙂 – nothing spectacular, but not a complete disaster either.
The room had a strange window 🪟🤔, and the exhaust fan unfortunately didn't work 🌬️🚫 – that definitely needs improvement.
What was really positive, though, was the staff's friendliness and warmth 😊🙌. We felt welcome from the start, which made the stay much more pleasant ❤️.
Overall, a solid experience with a few minor flaws – hence 3 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️.

30/07/2026: We had a fantastic experience at Johnny Frank’s Bar! We stopped in on a weekday at around 6:30 p.m., and everything was excellent from start to finish.
Our meals included the homemade soup of the day with freshly baked bread, the Meadowlands Seafood Chowder, the Pióg Pies’ Lamb Pie, the kids’ pan-fried chicken fillet with mash and vegetables, and Johnny’s Special. The food arrived quickly, was fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared.
The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. We also appreciated how clean everything was, including the bathrooms.
We were staying at the hotel next door, so it was very convenient to walk over for dinner. We highly recommend Johnny Frank’s Bar to anyone looking for great food, excellent service, and a pleasant dining experience.
